We booked a family room with a kitchenette that had a mountain view from the balcony - we could even see Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau castles! It was absolutely magical and both ourselves and the children were enchanted. The breakfast buffet was absolutely marvellous and we wished we could have had the same for dinner and tea! The room was spacious and having the little kitchen meant we could get items from the supermarket and have an evening meal together while looking out at the mountains. The pool was lovely, with a stunning view out of the windows as you swam. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel and would love to come back again in the future.

We didn't eat in the restaurant in the evenings as there was no children's menu - for families this would be a great addition but really didn't affect how much we enjoyed our stay!

Hotel’s positions offers astonishing views over the lake and the surrounding mountains. Quiet area and well organised and clean small town. Wide array of parking options, especially liked the covered roof parking (felt the rental car was safe during storms) Room was clean and spacious. Beds were comfortable to sleep / stay on for long periods of time. Fabulous breakfast with many options to choose from. Access to spa (pool, sauna, relaxation areas) offers great alternatives on rainy days.

Beautiful place, super clean, excellent position, very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. Beautiful SPA area, especially the pool which is big enough to swim in it.

Some parts of the hotel are not served by an elevator (e.g. the SPA and some rooms). My mother was staying at the second floor without elevator which made our support in carrying her luggage necessary. Also the fact that the outdoor terrace is not accessible directly from the SPA is a pity. And: the pool was often full with screaming children. Now, I understand that it's vacation time but the pool is still part of the SPA which should be a place for relaxation. Maybe a little bit of control by the hotel staff would made people act in a more respectful way.

Amazing, clean, quiet, friendly, they even catered for gluten free on request. We loved it so much. Please ignore my previous review, as that was for another hotel, and booking.com haven't removed it, even though I requested it.

If I was being really strict, then the sofa bed was a bit firm for me, but I prefer soft ones.

The location! 🤩 The hotel is located up the hill in Hopfen am See, a stunning place in the Allgäu region with breathtaking views all around, most of all of Schloss Neuschwanstein which can be seen from a distance. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful at all times, the apartment was spacious and the food was exceptional (organic and locally grown) - fantastic breakfast buffet and a delicious choice of freshly cooked dishes every evening. The pool area is spacious and welcoming and there are free aquagym courses on offer.

If there was one detail that comes to mind: the temperature of the pool was a little low (but then it was an unusually cold/rainy summer anyway)

Breakfast was superb as was spa area with kneipp bath. Quiet location - v calm and peaceful.

Could do with a draining rack for plates or dishwasher. More things for older kids - air hockey they loved but maybe one other game like that or outdoor area.

Very well kept and modernised, excellent breakfast, clean, beautiful place, friendly staff.

The ventilator in the bathroom is rather loud (I am sensitive to noise), cannot be turned off seperatly, and stays on forever. I ended up using the bathroom in the dark.

Authentic property, very clean, great facilities, amazing breakfast.

The property is up a very steep hill (15 minutes up from the lake), however we knew to expect that before arriving.

The hotel is in a rural area that suited us perfectly. Wonderful views from the bar balcony and outside seating areas. It is worth the climb back up the hill after visiting one of the number of restaurants that are on the lake side. The hotel also offers a very nice evening menu. The staff were all very helpful and professional. The buffet breakfast was excellent with enough choice to suit all tastes. Our room was a suite that had a side view overlooking the lake - very spacious, clean and comfortable. The bathroom was large, a little dated, but worked well - a great shower. The indoor swimming pool was a good size. It was perfect to explore the area from this hotel - it would be difficult without a car. A very nice stay in a hotel that we would return to.

A mini fridge and a kettle in the room would have been appreciated.
