I wished I had checked in sooner to be able to really enjoy this place, including the spa. We were traveling with kids and we were given a ground floor apartment (with mosquito nets on the doors) with a playground right outside. The kids loved it! Beautiful views. We really loved this place, and would totally recommend. Parking was available and easy.

I would have expected coffee (there was a coffee machine), napkins/paper towels and a sponge to do the dishes (there was a dishwasher and dish soap, but nothing to use the dish soap with) since the apartment included a full kitchen.

Very close to the castles. Not a lot of parking and with a late arrival the only spot open was the electric car spot. The beds were comfortable and rooms were a good size.

I booked many hotels this trip and could not remember which ones had breakfast included. They had an emphasis on breakfast times and info so I thought it was one that it was included. At checkout I found out it was not and had to pay quite a bit extra. The breakfast would have been good if free. The staff was making others food and did not offer or approach our table. When we asked for 2 omelettes they brought one to the table, left and never returned which made paying even more annoying.

The location was excellent and close to restaurants and the beautiful lake. My boys particularly liked the playground right outside. We did not have breakfast but the breakfast room looked very cosy and inviting.

I did not like the pillows. Feather pillows would have been much better. My boys did not like the comfort of their pull out sofa bed but they are kids and just got on with it ;). Our Emma mattress on the main bed on the other hand was superb! Due to the nature of the old building the walls are very thin and you could hear the noise from your neighbours next door.

We received a Type C Apartment instead of a Type B. We had asked after booking if it was Type A or Type B and we were told Type B and when we got there we received to our surprise Type C. 😅 It was not very professional. So be careful when making your reservation on Booking as the pictures might mislead you as to the size of the device .

Beautiful property and very clean, comfortable flats. Also breakfast is amazing! Great selection from salty to sweet stuff. Peter is an amazing host. We did not know if the huette on our hiking trek was open and he offered to call the property and it happened that the mountain resort was closed due to the weather conditions. However Peter made our day, when he showed us another amazing trek and even more beautiful huette for the day trip! We also forgot a scarf at the property but Peter sent it to our address without any fee!!! Amazing accommodation with even more amazing hosts! Thank you! We will come back!

Wow, wow & wow! The location, the stunning scenery, the breakfast, the rooms - all fantastic and very authentic to the area. Landhaus Kossel is a couple of minutes walk to the lake, lovely walks and restaurants. You can also swim in this lake in the summer! It’s really easy to get to Neuschwanstein Castle too, so we’d really recommend this for a trip of that nature. Onsite, the rooms are luxurious and good quality. The rooms with the view are 10/10 and took our breath away. The breakfast has a vast option of choices and is all delicious! The onsite natural pool is good fun, with sunbeds and decking meaning you can enjoy a really chilled afternoon! We don’t have children but observed some great play areas and amble safe space to roam free - the stables and horses are a lovely addition too! We couldn’t recommend more highly and will most certainly be coming back with our family and friends in the next year or so! Don’t hesitate, BOOK!

There was a kettle & mugs in the room but would have found tea spoons handy, or maybe even some courtesy tea and coffee for when you arrive. But this wasn’t anything we were bothered by!

We really enjoyed our stay! The room was spacious, the apartment was very clean, and the facilities, including the playground, were great. While the Wi-Fi could be improved, it was still usable and didn’t cause us any major issues.

One thing to note — breakfast wasn’t included. Had I known that beforehand, I might have skipped it, as the food selection wasn’t great and the price was relatively high.

The apartment we were given at Landhaus Kössel was STUNNING. When I booked the apartment for our family, I was expecting a room with a bed and a sleeper couch, not expecting the most beautifully decorated and spacious 2 bedroom apartment. The furnishings are beautifully crafted and the apartment was completely spotless. 10/10 recommend this place and most definitely would book again!

Beautiful location. Spacious clean room. Nice facilities with natural pool, sauna. We didn't try the breakfast but it looked like a generous delicious spread. (We instead had a great cheap breakfast <5 minute walk away at Schönegger Käse-Alm.) Just across the road from Hopfensee lake, close to all amenities around the area - lots of eating places; the ones we tried were all reasonably priced. We used this as a base to explore Fussen, Neuschwanstein Castle, the Bavarian Alps. Hopfensee which is right by this hotel is itself is a beautiful lake worth walking/jogging/cycling around.

Pillows were a bit too soft and flat. But that's a small thing more than made up by everything else.

We loved our stay at Landhaus Kossel; when booking we needed to find a dog friendly place and this was by far the nicest accommodation for the price. It was so relaxed and friendly - we loved the natural pool and the location was great to carry a paddle board down to the lake and so close to everything we wanted to visit. The lady on reception was also really friendly and when we decided last minute we wanted breakfast she ran to the shops for more bread! 5 star from us
