First of all: the hotel is not too far from the motor road and fairly easy to find. Ampel parking. Receipts at reception very friendly. The room was fairly large with seating arrangement. A two butt balcony overlooked the river Mosel. We had dinner in the evening. This was very good and can be recommended. Beds are long, mattress not soft, nor hard. After a good nights rest we enjoyed a well stocked breakfast buffet. A note: stayed just one night.

The bathroom although well equipped had a number of small broken or less operable items like shower head leaking, The showertap was not well keeping temperature. The headboard of the beds showed some wear an tear. A good room but could use some TLC.

Service in the restaurant in the evening was poor. We had no information given to us about the evening buffet , we waited a long time before the waiter eventually came to take our drinks order and he was more concerned with talking to his colleagues than attending to his few customers. Our meal was spoiled by his incompetence. The breakfast staff, on the other hand were excellent.

Fantastic location next to the river and near to the town centre. Winningen was extremely picturesque town and offered a number of bars and restaurants. The hotel staff were friendly and the waitress at lunchtime was very helpful. A great place to stay that is near to the motorway network and in the heart of the wine country. We would consider a longer stay in the future.

Perfect location for a one-night stopover from NL to CH. Arrived late, so great to have such a big, comfortable room to relax in. Breakfast excellent. Plenty of choice, friendly service. It would be perfect in the summer time, right on the River Mosel. The restaurant looked good, but had finished serving by the time we arrived, which was fine because we were tired and were looking forward to a good night's sleep, which we got! Thank you.

The rooms were enormous (far larger than required), private balcony overlooking the river ... very nice. Food was good Excellent value for money all round

A bit more variety of fruit e.g. fruit salat would be great. And Thai- restaurant is more German-lized, missing a real Thai flavors

Nice hotel located next to the river. Lovely room and friendly staff. Lots of carparking. We only stayed one night as a stopover.

Lovely Location on the banks of the Mosel. Lots of free parking. Pleasant terrace and beer garden. Great to watch the world go by on a hot day, especially the boats and jet skiers on the Mosel. Room large and clean with a little private patio too. Restaurant very good, including a very well stocked breakfast buffet. Helpful staff.

Nice hotel close on the Moselle River and the cycling route, but also close to the main road, not noisy but easily accessible. We were upgraded to a suite, which was huge with a balcony in the sun all afternoon. Lovely terrace and very friendly staff.

The room did not have a fridge or a kettle, although we were given one on request. No toiletries except for hair/body soap.
