Nice, comfortable hotel right on the banks of the Rhine river. We upgraded to a room with a balcony overlooking the river, well worth it, a pleasure to sit and watch the boats go by, plus the room was a little larger. Breakfast was good, fresh baked bread, usual meats, cheeses, cereals and fruits. Items changed from day to day some, so a little variety. St, Goar is well placed for visiting other towns along the Rhine, with tour boats all docking there and simple train connections up and down the West bank of the Rhine. Also a frequent ferry to the other side of the river.

Breakfast was really good with some delicious cooked dishes. . Great Location overlooking the river, right near a boat stopp and also a local ferry . It was easy to cross to the town on the other side so great access to both sides of the river and castles of the rhine valley. Was great fun watching the comings and goings of river boats from our window. There is a castle across the river which was beautiful day and night. A small town easily walked.

Fantastic location overlooking a busy stretch of the Rhine with Car ferry crossing several times an hour andf numerous barges and cruise ships. Glorious mountain views. Best to get room with river view we spent hours on our balcony. Excellent cold buffet breakfast.

No air conditioning, fan provided helped. Limited facilities - no bar or restaurant. Town pretty run down with limited restaurants and too many closed shops. No tea and coffee making facilities in the room.

Great location, breakfast just right as a continental but lots of extra choices. Rooms big and fitted out with quality furnishing . By far the best hotel that we have stayed in on our extensive travels. Great host to boot. View from our window was brilliant , right over the river. Tea and coffee in the room is said to be available but we were able to get it one evening at a request and wifi a little weak in our room but all in all just great

Location is great. It's right across the road from the Rhine RIver with a Castle on the hill across the Rhine from the hotel and an old one behind. The hotel is very clean and the breakfast were very good. We had a river view which was excellent. The hotel also has an elevator. Would stay again if I am back to St Goar.

Location very central - hardly 3-4 mins walk to train station on foot (but no noise of trains at all, windows are sound proof) and bang on the rhine promenade. view from river facing room was amazing.. Upon prior request, owner provided warm vegetarian breakfast for us. Really liked that they went the extra mile to make our experience great.

The property was clean and well maintained. The staff were helpful. Breakfast was included. The location was perfect for exploring the area and there was a boat tour located directly across the street. We went for the room with a balcony and it was well worth the extra for the beautiful view and extra space. I would stay again

Central and quiet location facing the Rhine River. Larger than usual room. Very helpful staff and a good selection at breakfast. Drop off at front for bags, free parking available behind the hotel. Ferry to Sankt Goarshausen out front.

Good breakfast. Our room facing rear so it's really quiet. Staff are friendly and helpful. Centrally located, with car parking spaces nearby, close to train station and ferry.

As it's a small town with most restaurants closed on Sundays, hope they can serve simple meals, not just breakfast. There is no kettle in the room and nowhere I can get hot water.

The view from our room was very nice! It’s such a peaceful area, we had a lovely night’s sleep. The beds were very comfortable and the shower was nice with good pressure and good heat!

The hallways have a bit of an odd smell but once you’re within the room is fine you can’t smell it. The breakfast could be improved a little with some fresher produce.
