The first room I was assigned did not meet my expectation especially the amount of money paid. I than requested a change of room was granted without a problem. The breakfast was good with a lot of different options to choose from.

The first day after I checked in, I ordered food, and it was terrible. The Talapia was salted, re-cooked so it was hard and a little tinted. Infact a fly kept coming around my food and fell in the glass of water because it was chasing the tinted fish. The waiter still billed me for the water. I am not so sure that he changed he glass either.

The staff was amazing and went over and beyond for us. Our room was over booked and we was given the Executive room which was amazing. We extended our check out to 1900 hrs and paid extra, which was very reasonable. The breakfast had a very good selection of food and catered well for vegetarian (me). I loved the bed mattress which was very firm. The room was a good size. Loved the outside terrace, which the views was lovely, being on the top floor.

The bedroom was a little dark. Needs more lighting. The side of the bath was a little wide and you had to stretch over your leg to get out of the bath/shower. I had to hold on to the side to have stability.

Attentive and responsive staff. Wide range of breakfast and dinner options. Good size room. Substantial improvement in all aspects of the hotel's offering and services. Great location for access to downtown Accra or to the East Legon area of Accra. Parking facilities available. Safe as access to hotel rooms is based on Room key. Staff were swift to respond to feedback. An African hotel with African Decor that is tasteful and beautiful. Well done to all staff including Gideon the concierge and Elisabeth head of housekeeping who checked on my stay. This was a return visit for me to this hotel.

More visibility of the daytime manager would be an added bonus to take a litmus test of the experience of customers staying at the hotel or using the hotel facilities. In most high end hotels across the world a visible manager is key to the success of a hotel. I did meet the night manager who certainly had more visibility and inquired about my stay. The exterior of the hotel particularly the front steps and garden could do with some attention and renewal as its the first impression of the hotel. Broken slabs of the front steps should be temporarily fixed to avoid a slip by someone..

The staff are friendly and very helpful. It’s like home away from home. The food is superb!! We enjoyed the breakfast and the dinner is icing on the cake, very delicious meals. The property is clean and value for money. I highly recommend The African Regent Hotel to you!!

My arrival at the hotel was nothing short of amazing, thanks to the warm welcome drink I received. The package I had booked included breakfast, which had an incredible range of buffet selections, including delicious omelettes, pastries, and fresh fruits. I also enjoyed the lunch and drinks, which were pay-as-you-go, and had the same great variety of food. The staff were friendly, approachable, and helpful throughout my stay. Moreover, the hotel's location was perfect and easily accessible with Uber or Bolt. It was conveniently situated near Accra and Marina Mall, making it an ideal location for exploring the city. However, what stood out the most for me was that each floor had its special balcony where guests could socialize and meet other travellers. These balconies also provided a perfect spot to enjoy the breathtaking views and have some quiet time. African Regent deserves far more than just a 3-star rating; it deserves a 4-star rating instead. I am already looking forward to my next visit to this charming establishment, and I am confident that my family and friends would feel the same way. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an all-around fantastic experience.

I would recommend retrieving the tray with the room service utensils and leftover food promptly, preferably on the same day as delivery and delaying the collection until the following day should be avoided.

Breakfast great choices. And lots to chose from. Some staff could be a little more smiley though. But others exceeded our expectations. Special shout out to Mary in guest services. The chap who cleaned our room was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble generally for all staff. Reception lovely. Free shuttle bus to/from airport. Piano playing in the lounge of an evening. Superb!

Some staff could be more smiley and accommodating, particularly in the restaurant. Also the dinner in the evening is a buffet style and is a bit expensive. However overall, we can’t fault our stay at this hotel. It definitely exceeded our expectations!

Comfortable, clean rooms. Attentive staff. A bit outside the center, but with Uber and a bit of planning you get around without any problems. Shopping center is across the road with 2 supermatkets for almost everything you need.

A la carte service could have been faster.

Exceptional service, attention to detail and care. A special thanks to Helina and Ferdous who responded attentively and professionally to queries, a request to change our room, and a request for a tour guide. The watering staff are also to be commended - they made us feel at home, engaging with my son as he moved through the restaurant.

Unfortunately the pool area was being renovated - I would have loved to swim every evening. The cool shower in the room was a welcome alternative.

I really enjoy the location which was very convenient for my business trip. The meals we ordered for dinner were delicious. I enjoy the local food on the menu and the local juices as well. The staff was very nice to us during our stay. I like the cleanliness and how spacious the room was.

It would not be fair to say that there things that I didn't like. That would be extreme. I wish I could have enjoyed a bit more the pool. I wish there were a bigger selections of tropical fruits at the buffet for breakfast and more variety as well.

Setting in the hotel is excellent with great decorative details with African tint all over the place. Really beautiful. Room was comfortable, quiet and clean. Staff are top class and are always available to help, regardless of which department help is needed. Mary, the customer service manager is always keen to check if guests are comfortable, need help or have feedback. For sure this will help to keep the standard high. Shuttle service is really convenient and comfortable for both times the family used it. Good place - we will be back!
