Location was perfect with incredible views over the bay below and from a very good sized and well equipped balcony. Apartment was large, very clean and comfortable and contained everything we needed for our stay. Our hosts (Al and Kitty) are lovely very friendly people and couldn’t do enough for you, indeed they were perfect hosts! The apartment complex is very close to the beach below albeit via 70+ steps which we found quite manageable. Would be go back? Absolutely we will go back and look forward to doing so.

Lovely bright spacious apartment, with very tasteful furnishings and design flare. Outstanding large private shady balcony overlooking Pantelli Beach with stunning views. Good A/C but not always needed. Located in a great location up a flight of steps from the sea front and a fairly easy walk up to the windmills and on to Leros Castle. Our first visit to Leros and the walks were a highlight. Apartment is part of a small apartment building in pretty grounds and run by a charming and helpful couple who greeted us with drinks and local information. For a visit to Leros we would highly recommend Pantelli Beach and Asteris as probably one of the best places to stay.

We stayed in the 1-bed apartment and it was much larger than expected (could sleep 5) with 2 bathrooms! It was beautifully decorated and furnished and the small kitchen was well equipped. The view from the terrace is just amazing and that’s where we spent a lot of time! Bring your binoculars and watch the yachts come and go!! Al and Kitty gave us restaurant recommendations and were really welcoming and friendly. Try Antoni’s restaurant at Kokkini’s Rooms around the corner from the bay next to the harbour wall; it was really quiet and the food and service were excellent (not as polished as the other restaurants in the bay but traditional and friendly with great food). We did an early walk up to the castle, past the windmills (follow the windy road out of the top gate) and it’s worth the effort - views down to Agia Marina and beyond.

Nothing really - there are lots of steps to the property but that’s why you have such a great view!

Being only 75 stairs away from the beach, with beautiful views over Panteli town and the sea, very kind and thoughtful owners, our holiday was so perfect! especially the owners patiently answered all my questions even about another island, since we couldn't use our phones they ordered gyros at midnight upon our request! And the best part is we neednt worry after the beach day as we can shower after checking out. In Turkey we say, the memory of a cup of coffee lasts for forty years, so thank you Al for the morning coffee and we will definitely be back! :)

Many steps for access

Everything! Fantastic large terrace, room was an excellent size and very comfortable, great location 3 mins from the beach. Al and Kitty were excellent to deal with and friendly without being overbearing. We had a nice cold beer and wine on arrival which was most welcome in the heat! We stupidly left our passports behind and Al arranged for them to be sent to us in Kos on the next available ferry - life saver as we were due to fly home the next day! Really enjoyed our stay in Asterias, Panteli, our only regret was not spending more time on Leros as it was our favourite island and accommodation for the entire trip.

Tricky steps up and down to the beach but hey it's the Greek islands so what do you expect! Just mentioning as rooms may not suit someone with mobility issues.

We enjoyed our stay at Asterias. The apartment was very clean, spacious, very comfortable and it was nicely decorated. The owners are very sweet and have great taste. They were very helpful and shared great tips to explore around the island. We loved all the little special details in our apartment and on the patio. The kitchen had everything we needed to make simple meals. There was even a washing machine in our apartment which really helped. The view from the balcony is amazing. I think we have never stayed anywhere with such beautiful view before. It was a wonderful experince to wake up to that view every morning. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We had the most wonderful stay here, and wish we'd stayed longer! Al & Kitty are so kind and helpful, and gave brilliant tips for the island (including restaurant recommendations and dishes to try!) The apartment was clean and spacious, aircon and wifi were excellent, and it was an incredibly short walk to the beach. We'd love to return!

Beautiful spacious apartment with amazing views from the terrace. Great location close to cafes and restaurants in the harbour below. Al and Kitty were kind and helpful throughout our stay even allowing us to shower after check out so we could swim on our last day. Beautiful friendly cats were a highlight. A magical place to relax.

What can I say about Asterias? We had the best few days’ holiday that we have had in years, this place truly is medicine for the soul. From the friendliest of welcomes to the first experience of the view from the balcony, the huge comfortable bed and the short walk to a beautiful beach where locals meet to eat and drink amazing food, azure sea and cold beer minutes from your room. I cannot recommend Asterias highly enough, it was a game-changer for us. You can wander through town to the port for a chance of scenery but I promise that you’ll have to drag yourself from the balcony and the incredible sense of peace that you get staying here. Al and Kitty have created a very, very magical space. Thank you for resetting us.
