Incredible location + wonderful staff. Katerina at the front desk went above and beyond in helping us during our stay. Balcony view was very beautiful!

Unfortunately the room wasn’t cleaned well and the floors were quite dirty and the elevator very loud at night when trying to sleep

The location of this hotel was superb; just 400 m from the main bus and tram routes including the bus back to the airport - see later comment; surrounded by shops, the antiquities and a good range of restaurants at both ends of the economic spectrum. Adequately sound proofed to keep out the noise of the cathedral bells and the city hub bub. Excellent friendly staff

Unfortunately and in spite of Booking.com stating on the web page that Breakfast was included, breakfast was NOT included; the hotel did not have any eating or drinking facilities. I shall be taking this up with Booking.com in due course Again, in spite of Booking.com stating there was a transfer from the airport to the hotel, no such arrangement existed. Again Booking.com web site stated one thing and under delivered.

The location was perfect, steps away from Syntagma Square, near the metro, a short walk to bustling Monastiraki, steps away from charming Plaka. It felt safe in all directions. One person can make a vacation extraordinary and we found Katarina at Abov Athens to be that wonderful person. She is informative, kind, eager to help, and ultra professional. She made us feel taken of with a smile! Thank you Abov Athens and thank you Katarina.

This hotel is not luxurious. It’s simple - perfect for us, but not for everyone. The elevator is small. There are no dining facilities or available snacks, but there are an abundance of options just out the front door.

We spent 2 nights in the Presidential Suite on the 5th floor. It was very comfortable, but not luxurious. The view from the walk-in shower is stunning. It features the Acropolis, framed by the steeples of the Holy Metropolitan Church of the Virgin Mary roof, just as pictured online. The view alone was worth every penny. The staff was extremely helpful and very pleasant. The location is amazing. The Plaka district is a 2 minute walk. The Acropolis is just 10 minutes or less to the entrance. In the other direction shopping and restaurants abound. We are Vegans and found 2 good restaurants very close by.

The room was very comfortable and staff at the front desk were helpful. Location in Athens was fantastic. About a 5 min walk to Monastiraki square and 15 min to Plaka area. Tons of cafes, restaurants and shopping all around.

My room was on the 3rd floor and there was definitely noise each night from the street below. I'm a pretty heavy sleeper so it wasn't an issue for me but may be something to consider if that bothers you.

The perfect place to stay for a city break in Athens. The location is amazing, very close to all the attractions and within a busy shopping/ restaurant area with lots of options and everything you need. Although it's very central it wasn't noisy at all. The staff are INCREDIBLE!! So helpful and super friendly and welcoming. Couldn't do enough to help us, we had a late flight on our last day and were able to leave our bags in a locked room all day and there is even a small lounge area/ toilets we could use at any point in the day when we needed it. The view from our room (top floor) was amazing as well!

Room could have been cleaner, some surfaces/ light switches were a bit sticky and the floor had detritus still on it. But the bathroom was super clean so no complaints there.

Location can’t be beat at this room price per night. Friendly support at the desk. The view was astonishing in the deluxe queen suite. All near new fixtures, very clean, very modern. I’d stay again for sure.

They could have installed a small shelf in the shower area. There is no where to put a bar of soap. That’s about it. Not a deal breaker at all, just a simple convenience when showering. The church next door does have a bell that goes off on the hour, and half hour. Bring ear plugs if a light sleeper. That goes for the bars downstairs. You can hear the noise til 2 am or more on Fridays and Saturdays. Not a deal breaker either, just be prepared and bring ear plugs, or go down there and join them lol. On that note, if you are on the lower floors, you might have more noise at night. On the 4th floor it is a bit less noisy but that’s subjective. Like I wrote, I would still go back in a heart beat, too many pros than cons.

This hotel is perfect, the location is incredible, the staff is the nicest and most helpful I've ever encountered. Anything we asked for they helped with immediately. The rooms are comfortable, the water pressure is insane! (I wanted to marry that shower. Highly recommended!

Just to make this place beyond perfect there are a couple of things that would have helped: 1. the TV in one of the rooms is old and slow and dark (room 101). 2. The rooms were tidied but not cleaned during our stay

We had a lovely one-night stay at AboV Athens! The bed was large, the bathroom was big and recently renovated. As a larger guy, I normally have many complaints about shower sizes/water pressure but, I can’t fault it! George at reception was very friendly and had excellent suggestions for dining. His colleague (to whom we were not introduced) ran up 7 flights of stairs to close the door on the elevator that wouldn’t descend for us. The view of the Acropolis from our room was good, but not great to say we paid a fair bit extra for it, but it was still pretty cool. The neighborhood was hip and busy so there was plenty to do and see.

The initial first impression of the hallway and reception desk at the end was a bit worrying, but it’s a city hotel so the lack of space is to be expected.

The staff was friendly and very welcoming. The hotel is greatly situated at a short walking distance way from all the main tourist attractions, the old city, and the Acropolis.

Our check in was delayed by over an hour due to the room not being ready on time. It also looks like parts of the hotel are undergoing renovations, so some part of our room was not in a great condition (e.g., the frame of the door was disassembled, meaning the door couldn't fully close).
