The food, and especially the free breakfast, was incredible. Service top notch. Great location with anything in city center easy walking distance. Comfortable beds and pillow and enough space. It felt like a luxury stay and I'd use it again in a heartbeat.

Not a deal breaker, but it was a little loud. Our room was against the open air side so we could hear the restaurant and ambient musice downstairs until late in the evening, and the stagg moving chairs and tables in the morning. Luckily I had some ear plugs. And I hated the clear door mini fridge that lit up the room at night. Had to cover it with a jacket. Everything else was wonderful and more than made up for it.

Location is the best part of this hotel.... and their bakery house is fabulous. Rooms are lovely except for the raised bed.

One needs to be a gymnast to climb into the silly raised bed. Crazy design. Decor very nice. Reception staff formal and bland. Breakfast in their restaurant is superb, compliments to the chefs. However, the hospitality from the floor managers was the poorest I have ever experienced in Greece. Literally no greetings, no smiles, just indifference. Either the staff are very unhappy or they're just "too cool for school". Totally ignore their customers. I was watching how they interacted with the clientele.. terrible. From my previous experience the Ergon Bakehouse Hotel was far better than Ergon House.

This is not an issue of liked or did not like, as the hotel Was wonderful! However, omit would be good if they added some hooks in the rooms to hang towels and robes - we had a hard time finding space.

Location is superb. The room was spacious and clean and despite located in the centre of a very busy area it was very quiet

The breakfast was a bit of a let down after the raving reviews I have read. It seems that a lot of attention is being given to portion size instead of just given a plain choice of sheep yoghurt , honey and bacon and eggs. All the stuff that is so simple and good in Greece. If you don’t like bread, you would be hard pressed to find something to choose in the morning. The waiters were lethargic and could never get my order right. I saw that happening to tables around me as well. Nothing big, just not what you would have expected from an establishment of this acclaim. Ordered an Americano, cappuccino was delivered. Ordered omelet with cold meats and mushrooms. Omelet with tomatoes and cheese were served. Never complained as it is not worth the waste, but still…

Fantastic hotel, I have already recommended/shared it with my friends! In addition to the standard questions for location (walking distance to all important points in the center, from several of the most famous squares, the parliament, the central church, the Acropolis, Plaka, etc.), cleanliness (as in the world top hotels), comfort (on the one hand, the feeling of being at home, on the other hand, a high-end hotel/staff/service that provides satisfaction), special mention must be made: - Architecture inside the rooms as well as the entire hotel, very unusual and extraordinary - Inside the hotel, on the ground floor, there was a market (with sales content), an open restaurant, an area where you can order but also buy in addition to packaged products (natural, ecological, very tasty ... from over 100 national producers that the hotel itself organizes/procures and sells) - The food cannot be described - must taste. - Congratulations for the entire concept and functioning of the hotel, restaurant, market in the hotel lobby, roof-top bar... Finaly and in any case, we would highly recommend it !

The hotel is in an excellent central location, making it easy to explore the city on foot. • Our room was beautifully designed, though relatively small (we stayed in a medium-sized room). • The staff was friendly and polite.

The room had a small window at the far end, facing a wall. To open it, we had to climb onto the bed, which was quite inconvenient. • One morning at breakfast, we waited for about 10 minutes for a waiter to acknowledge us and inform us when a table would be available. No one greeted us, said good morning, or even attempted to assist us, which was extremely disappointing for a hotel with such high ratings. • Upon entering the hotel, there was a very unpleasant smell from the restaurant downstairs. Overall, the lack of service and other inconveniences made our stay disappointing. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t return.

This hotel far exceeded my expectations. I loved it and will book again on any return to Athens. An eco-friendly driven mission, a fabulous eatery on the main floor with an extensive menu, a roof top bar with the Acropolis in view. Bespoke gift items and mini bar. And an outstanding staff at the desk, in the eatery and rooftop bar. Same day laundry service. Location, location, location! We walked the entire time which is a blessing because Athens traffic is a nightmare.

If you are a particularly modest person, the toilet offers privacy visually but is not sound proof;)

The hotel is beautifully designed, with great attention to detail. The restaurant and deli are just as stylish as the rooms, creating a very pleasant atmosphere. It’s quiet and peaceful. The location is also excellent, with everything within easy reach. A great choice for anyone looking for a well-designed and well-located place to stay.

The only issue was the bathroom setup in the room. There is no separate bathroom – the toilet and shower are only divided by a glass partition, with no proper wall for privacy. The sink is in the main room, and there is no door to close off the space. This might not be ideal for everyone.

The best about Ergon House is its location and the restaurant with the breakfast that was included. Room was beautifully decorated and very functional. We asked quiet one and got one, but the view from the room was to the side alley then, but at it was quiet as we hoped for. The breakfast is definitely worth of taking since its from their breakfast menu and everything was included. We did love the breakfast and it will be missed. Also all the communication via Booking.com before our arrival was excellent.

The only downside - due to the season was that the rooftop bar was not open, but this was totally something we understand but could be mentioned bit better on the hotel site and information that the rooftop bar is seasonally closed.

Wonderful place to stay in Athens - we stayed twice, both before and after our island hopping. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The food is absolutely delicious; breakfast being included is such a bonus and make sure to have dinner there at least once to try their produce. Great location with a short walk to Plaka and also to the Acropolis. Being in Athens, rooms are smallish so would recommend booking a medium room at least so you have room for luggage. But beds are comfy. No separate bathroom which may bother some people. The shower and toilet are each enclosed but to maximise space in the room, they are not cordoned off in a bathroom proper. Didn't bother us at all but have a look at the photos so you can decide if you are happy with this. Great rooftop terrace on which to have drinks and watch the sunset over the Acropolis. Also has a gym which was handy to get some exercise done in air conditioning given how hot it was outside. Overall highly recommend this hotel and we would happily stay there again!
