The location is great. The breakfast is excellent. They are magnificent with a Greek classic welcome.
I think there were bedbugs in room 517 on the first night. The bugs bit my back and it was swollen. We told the hotel and the staff immediately gave us some medicine and cream and changed our room. This was great. They intervened very quickly. We hope that new guests will not encounter something like this again. The hotel said that they had already done the pest control immediately. Although we stayed in room 517 with acropolis view on the first night, we had to change our room because of the bugs and we had to stay in a room with a dining room view on the second night. We should have stayed in a room with acropolis view. because our payment was for acropolis view. I hope the next guests will be more careful.

The central location is a huge bonus, all the main tourist sites are a 10-15min walk away. The main bus and underground train stops are just a 3min walk away too. Even though my room didn't have a balcony, the 2 big windows provided ample light. The bed is extremely comfortable and one of the best mattresses I've come across in a city centre hotel. The room was spacious with a few different seating areas. The rooftop restaurant and bar is a big selling point too. From the quality of the food to the amazing cocktails and the friendly staff, I just loved it. The buffet breakfast also offered so much choice. A little note to the cleaning staff too; no matter what time of day i left my room, they always ensured they had it cleaned before my return, thank you!
The temperature of the water in the shower tended to vary during showers, but never to extremes. Just a tiny thing really!

Fantastic location - between Ermou and a Mitropoleos Sts and a two minute walk to Syntagma Square! Modern Guest rooms - beds were very comfortable with pristine bedsheets. Bath towels were plush. Bathrobes luxurious with complimentary slippers and amenities. The bathrooms are luxurious with the best showers offering a rain shower, wall jets at three different levels, and a handheld shower. Great water pressure at all times. Breakfast - complementary American- style buffet, specialty coffees, juices, and water. Staff - approachable, friendly, and very accommodating, always there to help.
Nothing!

If you're looking to be in the heart of Monasteraki this is the Hotel to be at. Ermo Street is at your doorstep all the shops and restaurants are within walking distance. However, the most spectacular aspect of this hotel is the restaurant and rooftop bar that has an uninterrupted view of the iconic Acropolis in Athens. The food and drinks at the restaurant match the view. Every dish is better than the last. The rooms are spacious and offer all the comforts required from a hotel.
Ermo Street can get busy in the druing the course of the day. But the hotel offers a refuge from all the hustle and bustle of outside.

We loved this hotel. We booked the deluxe room with a hammam and balcony view ten months in advance to get an excellent price. We had a very ample-sized balcony with a view of the Acropolis (and not just a small snippet kind of view). It overlooks the city, which you are in the heart of. The hotel is at the center of a pedestrian mall, and you can step right out to the shops and go exploring most places on foot. Breakfast was a wonderful buffet with many choices. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The view from breakfast allows you to see the Acropolis from many of the tables/chairs. We also used the spa on site and got a massage and those ladies were very sweet as well. We had to leave early the last day, and they called a taxi for us and packed us off with breakfast in a box. The shower had a hammam in it (like a steam room) with a whole entire room, misted glass doors. We did not use it, but the shower room itself had a rainwater head and jets coming out the side with seats inside! We definitely loved the shower. Everything was clean and comfortable. There is nothing bad to say about Elia Ermou Hotel. When we return, we will definitely stay here again.
We loved everything! It's not a problem, but just a heads up that you can not put toilet paper in the toilet. I imagine that is the same for some other countries/places, but just to note. We got the hang of it haha

Hotel was great, clean, in the heart of shopping and restaurants and walking distance to the square and changing of the guards, and acropolis museum. Hotel staff was great and accommodating, breakfast was fantastic and since we were leaving early on the 3rd day and missing breakfast, the staff boxed up breakfast for our party of 16 and gave us breakfast snacks to go (it was their suggestion and a great treat!). Plenty of towels, water and shampoo/body wash etc in the room. The restaurant on 7th floor had great breakfast (free with our stay) and great dinner. Also overlooked the lit up acropolis at night and made for amazing pictures.
Can only use the hot tub with spa reservation but how salty had no time for it anyway.

The location of this hotel was excellent. Right in the city centre, central shopping district and easy walking distance to all the main sights. Spoilt for choice of cafes bars and restaurant all an easy stroll from the hotel. The room itself was comfortable, clean and quiet - just what you need after a long-haul flight. I was staying with my 19 year old son so we had the sofa made into a bed which did take up some room. It was very comfortable to sleep on for him though. The hotel restaurant has a view that is out of this world - easy one of the best in Athens. The staff were friendly and attentive and the breakfast itself was fresh with plenty of choice. Would highly recommend.
Some very minor feedback. Coffee in room was sub-par. Most hotels nowadays provide coffee pod machine and real milk - especially since there was a fridge to keep it in. The eggs one mornign were cold which was not nice but hinestly I'm just being picky - we thouroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to be back one day.

The location...the room...veeery comfy bed...fantastic shower and pressure...the robes were excellent...thank you for the slippers.. great quality of pillows and towels, the body lotion...the breakfast buffet selection was great and the view of terrace restaurant a dream. Thankyou.
All was very good..the hotel is very good. I will add.some small constructive details to help make it 100%: 1) there was no Netflix access (with my user) or any other app......not even youtube. 2) Also very bad light for reading in bed. (There was a very bright light on the hotel window sill...outside our window...on all night...not sure why or what was the purpose...). Please put some capers with the salmon in bkfast buffet...and if ladies in a room, please leave 2 bath towels-one for hair...thankyou.

We checked-in late July 2025 for a night before our cruise. Location, cleanliness and facilities are top notch. Roof-top view of the majestic Acropolis is amazing. Breakfast was great! Guest services were second to none. We were able to check-in early. We were also upgraded to a nicer room. We asked for restaurant recommendations before we started our late afternoon tour and they even phoned the restaurant for us.
Reception is small. It has two-step stairs to reach the lift. It has no ramp for the luggages so if you have health issues and cannot lift heavy luggages, you need to ask for help from the guys there.

Very comfortable hotel directly in the city centre. We occupied a spacious family room as a couple an had a very relaxed stay. Everything being at a 15 min walk's distance (including the south slope entrance to Akropolis), it was convenient to return to the hotel for relaxing during the day and cooling down from.the 34° C outside. The room had a very nice shower. It looked onto the busy Emou shopping street, but still our 3rd floor room was very quiet at night. The breakfast buffet was opulent, the service in the rooftop restaurant and breakfast hall immaculate. The view of Akropolis from the rooftop was amazing. Leaving our luggage until departure was easy, and we had a late checkout just before 11 a.m.
We had a slight discussion with the front desk staff who would first refuse to receive a parcel addressed to us by the host of our preceding hotel, which contained our forgotten ebook reader. However, after considerable discussion, they fortunately changed their mind. Would have expected slightly more customer-oriented behaviour from the beginning.
