Highly Recommended hotel! I had been living in Athens for 5 years, and initially I was reluctant to book in this area. Despite that it is excellent location, especially for tourists near to shop, Acropolis, Monastiraki, Syntagma, I was afraid that the area and the hotel would be very busy and noisy. On the contrary, it was fine, no problem at all with noise. The hotel is small but very clean and tidy, the girls in the reception were very helpful and they accommodated even a request that I had, despite that 95% of other hotels wouldn't! Breakfast was excellent and in reasonable times, good WiFi and TV! And in a very good price! I rarely give 10 in my reviews because there is always room for improvement however this time I will do! So to sum up: Excellent location, clean, tidy, good price, very friendly staff ready to help, good WiFi.

Everything was perfect! Amazon Hotel has online check-in prior to arrival so it takes only 1 minute to get your room keys on arrival! Quick replies on additional requests by e-mail! Friendly English speaking staff at the reception desk and at the breakfast floor as well! Reception was very kind and helpful solving my additional personal issues! Breakfast included a wide variety of fresh greek food and also international choices! Staff was constantly paying attention to rearraging the tables for new breakfast guests and refilling all food items! The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, linen and towels were fresh and not overused! The room also had a refrigerator and a safe! Location is perfect if one is planning to stay in the vicinity but also a very short walking distance to Syntagma and Monastiraki squares! Every photo on their sites are just like in real! No disappointing surprises ...! As cabin crew I have been to many cities and hotels all around the world ... And I am very picky about hotel accomodations! I was here in private with my wife to celebrate her birthday in Athens so it was extra important to find a fine hotel accomodation! I would highly recommend Hotel Amazon to everyone who wishes to choose a comfortable stay at the city center of Athens!

The hotel has excellent rooms and an outstanding breakfast! It’s very conveniently located — close to everything you might need: restaurants, supermarkets, shops, and pharmacies. It’s also just a short walk from Syntagma Square, where you can catch the metro, and it's near Monastiraki Square and Hadrian’s Library (Βιβλιοθήκη του Αδριανού), which are great spots for sightseeing.

The only thing I didn’t like was the smell in the reception area. It’s not a bad smell exactly — it’s just a strong perfume scent that didn’t appeal to me. It reminded me of the incense smell you sometimes find in churches.

Breakfast is excellent, coffee is very good and pastries are fresh and tasty. Eggs and bacon are a plus. Ingredients are of high quality which is appreciated (eg. first class butter, veggies and bread). Location is top! Staff in general are very attentive and kind but not all are that helpful or approachable.

Room variation- despite booking the same type of room every time, I keep getting a very different room arrangement, in terms of size and bathroom (renovated or not), every single time. Also, amenities offered for "the same type of room" tend to vary (e.g. no bathrobe was provided this time)- so you can never be sure you will be getting a good and comfortable room. Also, even if having something requested well in advance (e.g. floor level or bathroom style) does not gurantee you anything - despite if you are doing it 6 months in advance. Cannot understand why.

Reception in the middle of the night was smooth. Room was good for three, roomy including a good shower. Excellent air conditioning. Breakfast was good including watermelon and melon. Clean. Walkable to the Acropolis and to bus to the airport.

Matresses a touch soft for my taste, prefer harder mattresses but that's personal. At 3 am city workers empty the recycle glass bins found at the corner of the street!!! The amount of noise created is parallel to a war zone or massive contruction site. Woke me up and I imagine it disturbes the whole neighborhood. How stupid can the city get?

The hotel is situated in a great central location, near Syntagma square and the airport bus stop. It's a few steps from the main shopping street (Ermou) and is surrounded by cafes, restaurants, supermarkets and shops. The service at the hotel was Super! 5⭐!! The buffet breakfast was delicious and they're able to accommodate any food allergies (let them know in advance). The room was clean, big and very comfortable. The hotel staff was always polite and eager to provide an excellent service. I highly recommend the Amazon Hotel and I'll definitely be returning again!

perfect cental location - very close to Sintagma & Ermou street, but in quiet place; good value for money; nice and modern desighn of the room, comfortable room and bathroom, quick self check in; 24 hours reception. Good basic breakfast. Good cleaning of the room everyday

There was no good coffee at breakfast; the room lacked a full-length mirror, and the double bed was made by joining two separate single beds. We also experienced an issue where we couldn’t enter our room because the electronic lock wouldn’t open. The housekeeping staff had to replace the batteries, which caused a delay. The housekeeping lady Veronica was very kind and helpful, but due to the delay, we missed the tour we had booked. We expected some form of acknowledgment from the hotel management, but it seemed like no one really cared. Luckily, this didn’t happen on the day of our flight.

The room was a double room, big space, very clean, very nice design and furniture, modern, with a kettle for coffee making, tea and Nescafé bags, 2 complementary water bottles, very nice toiletries materials. The toilet is very clean, nice, and has big space. The hotel also offers a good breakfast. The location of the hotel is perfect, between Syntagma square and Monastiraki square where all shops and restaurants are located. Also the Syntagma station which is the main station of Athens is very close, thus the traveler can use easily the bus or metro between the airport and Syntagma station when arriving to Athens and leaving back to the airport, also it facilitates the transport by metro inside Athens. Finally the hotel has very good value for money.

It was as good as we expected. The excellent location was THE BIG PLUS. The staff was very friendly and helped us with everything we requested.

There were no shelves in the wardrobes so we had to keep some of our clothes in the luggage. The temperature of the water in the shower was changing all the time, requiring to correct it permanently during the shower.

The hotel staff was consistently polite and always ready to help. The breakfast provided a good variety of options, though I would have appreciated the addition of wholemeal sliced bread. The hotel's location was excellent, within walking distance of the shops, the Acropolis, Plaka, Monastiraki, and Syntagma, where the underground train is easily accessible. The cleanliness was outstanding, with housekeeping servicing the rooms twice a day, ensuring a spotless stay.

I would have appreciated more options for hanging hand and bath towels, as our room only had chairs to place them on. The towel rack was positioned about 2 meters high, right next to the sink, which was not easily accessible for me—unfortunately, I don’t have Antetokounmpo’s height!
