We booked 2 rooms and they were able to accommodate us at the end of the hallway where our rooms joined like a little suite. The view of the acropolis from our room was amazing. Staff was super friendly and helpful. We arrived in Athens by cruise super early and they were able to store all of our luggage while we explored town before checking in. Has a rooftop bar and restaurant which has an excellent view of the acropolis. Had dinner at sunset with the amazing view. Manager of the restaurant saw us trying to take selfie pics of our family with the beautiful background and offered to take pics for us. Food and service was amazing. Our flight ended up getting cancelled and rebooked for the following day so when I went to extend our stay another day hoping they weren't fully booked, they still had availability and we were able to keep the same room for the added night. They were able to schedule us rides to the airport for pickup at 5am and gave up breakfast to go which we enjoyed.

I thought the breakfast was luscious, the best hotel breakfast on a nearly monthlong trip in Spain and Greece. Because my stay at the Central Hotel was the last two days of a rigorous and exhausting trip, I had requested a quiet room and got one: cool, tranquil and with a balcony. I slept like a baby and got the rest I needed before flying back to the US. I liked the clean, soothing design lines, pretty much everything about the hotel.

I noticed a shelf of books in the lobby, some focused on Greece, some novels and non-fiction donated, I’m guessing, by previous guests. I think books add to the appeal of a hotel. I contributed one in Spanish by a favorite Cuban author. It might be a nice tradition to begin.

We mostly like everything about the hotel especially the staff, they re very kind.

This is not our first time there but this time was a bit disappointing. For the first time we stayed on the 6th floor just under thea terrace on 7th and we couldnt sleep for 2 nights because of their pulling and pushing tables and chairs. Despite paying more for a deluxe room, our previous stays in lower floor rooms were better. 2nd night I called the reception 3 times between 11.30pm - 02.00am but nothing changed so we slept around 03.00am and woke up at 07.00am with their disturbing noices again. So a stay full of sleeplees nights... if we ever go back, im never staying on 6th floor again.

The hotel is in a great location in Plaka. The room was well suited for two people with two chairs, two beds, desk, coffee/tea, refrigerator, hair dryer, three outlets, multiple lighting elements that you could turn on/off individually, nice shower with tub with full curtain, air conditioning. We stayed in a two twin bed room. My daughter and I loved the flexibility to explore the neighborhood and easily travel on the Metro. There are many great restaurants nearby, and we also enjoyed the view and service at the rooftop restaurant in the hotel.

My girlfriend and I stayed at Central Hotel for one night on May 19 before an early international flight, and it was a great choice for a quick stop in Athens. Check-in was smooth and efficient, and we were pleasantly surprised by how clean and quiet the hotel was despite its central location. We booked a double room with an amazing view of the Acropolis, which was a real highlight—especially at night! The room itself was spotless, the bed linens were soft and comfortable, and the air conditioning worked perfectly, which was much appreciated after a warm day of travel. Though we didn’t get to try the breakfast buffet due to our early departure, the front desk kindly provided a basic breakfast bag. I imagine the full breakfast would have been excellent. We did manage to enjoy a drink at the rooftop bar, which offers a beautiful view and a relaxing vibe. I had the Thera Terrace Experience cocktail, which was refreshing. The location is unbeatable—just a short walk to the Acropolis and surrounded by great restaurants. We had a lovely dinner at Diodos Restaurant, which I’d highly recommend. The area felt very safe and walkable.

One thing to note: the elevator is extremely small, so be prepared if you have large luggage or mobility concerns. the service at the rooftop Bar could have been more attentive—I had to go inside to ask for the bill as the staff were busy chatting.

A hotel with an excellent location, right in the city center. Everything is within walking distance. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. Friendly service. The hotel has adjacent parking for a fee, which was convenient for us as we arrived from the islands with a car and wanted one more night in Athens before leaving Greece. The parking includes space for several cars on a first-come, first-served basis. We are not aware of the options if the parking is full. On the hotel's rooftop, there is a restaurant with a stunning view of the city. Highly recommended in the evening

The rooms are a bit small, but it didn't bother us since we came to explore the city and only sleep at the hotel. The value for the price is very fair. The bathroom door does not close tightly. As a result, odors escape from the bathroom into the room. It is recommended to replace it with a door that fully closes.

Its location is hard to beat, it offers a wonderful view of the Acropolis at a reasonable value for money ratio. It’s particularly charming at night!

It’s my second stay at this hotel. When I came to stay there last year by myself, I didn’t quite notice an unfortunate choice of a bathroom door, or a partial glass partition, which offers no privacy - let’s face it, not everything that happens in the bathroom is conducive to romance. I wouldn’t stay here again if I was travelling with someone, but I wouldn’t stay rebook it on my own.

Exceptional friendly staff, very good food (Rooftop Restaurant) and breakfast bar, very quiet room, very cosy and big beds, it felt like home from the first minute. There is also some awareness of environmental issues, such as the "use again towel" or "my room needs no cleaning today" option. The hotel is situated on a small side street near Syntagma Square, in Plaka, near many tourist sites. The view from the Rooftop Restaurant/Bar at the Acropolis is fantastic and at night spellbinding.

The shower tray had seen some slightly better times, and I didn´t like the shower curtain. Otherwise, everything was clean and welcoming.

Nothing that can be done about this - but I suggest you bring ear plugs. The rooms are not very soundproofed. Listened to an unhappy child and endlessly yakking mother next door on one side one night, tv on the other, chairs scraped across the floor above. Weekdays, be prepared for the very excited school kids down below if you have a room with an Acropolis view. BUT - don't let that put you off from this hotel. I will return, just with ear plugs. The shower is also very small, with annoying shower curtain that sticks to you! But lots of hot water and great water pressure. All the staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. Regards the beds - might be great for some. My bad back wasn't happy, but could be fine for someone else.

Location was perfect. Walking distance to everything, shopping dining, attractions. Staff accommodated an early check in for us, as we landed in the morning and traveling with my husband who is undergoing cancer treatment and was very tired after our flight ( I know I should have booked a night earlier in hindsight) The breakfast was included with stay and was wonderful. Th rooftop restaurant was very good with a fabulous view!

rom a little small, but I assume that is most hotels in Europe but it was lovely
