The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is absolutely fantastic (a huge selection of foods both hot and cold). Most of all though, this hotel could not be in a better location! You are within a short walking distance to Syntagma Square and metro station, Monastiraki shops and metro station, Plaka, a plethora of restaurants, Hadrian's Library, the ancient Agora, and are just down the hill from the Acropolis. Also, the rooftop patio is incredible with an amazing view of the Acropolis. The rooftop restaurant at the sister hotel, Hotel Plaka, was fantastic. Nice lounge area and lobby.

The size of the room was quite small and the elevator was also very small (we couldn't fit the two of us and our small son and three small luggages in it at one time). The pillows weren't very comfortable. The kids play area has been well used and there are not many toys remaining. The ones that are there are in poor shape. But nice to have that kind of space though.

The hotel is well placed to easily access the acropolis, and the tourist sites around Plaka and Monastiraki. Buses and metro station nearby. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly.

We recently stayed at this hotel in Athens and had an excellent experience. The location was absolutely perfect, making it convenient to explore the city. The cleanliness of the hotel was impeccable and the customer service was outstanding throughout our stay. The breakfast was of top quality, offering a wide variety of delicious options to suit all tastes. A special highlight was the kind gesture on our return when they served us coffee in the lobby free of charge, which made us feel truly valued as guests. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Athens. A big thank you to all the staff for their exceptional efforts in making our holiday fantastic. We can’t wait to return. Amazing hotel, Friendly staff. Perfect location, close to everything, clean rooms. Have stayed before and definitely would stay again. breakfast was good as-well.

Travelled with 1 unrelated friend. Superior twin room with a balcony (18m2 according to Bkg.com) was a bit tight, but adequate. Balcony would be great in high season; a bit too cool in Nov. Breakfast buffet was ample and had most choices you would want (though after visiting many hotels subsequently, the specific items are forgotten). Location is exceptional! 10 minutes walk from airport bus or metro, and same or even less to the Roman Agora and other ancient archaeological sites. 1 - 5 minutes to a grand assortment of restaurants and shops in Plaka. Other hotels might be as good, but none are better. Hotel not lavish, but quiet, clean, comfortable, and convenient. Recommended.

Some people want luxury - a cocktail bar, a pool, a spa, entertainment. None of that in the Hermes Hotel, just everything you need for a comfortable stay.

This is a traditional European facility with a few updates. It is a wonderful place to lay your head and recover after a long day of exploration or travel. Breakfast was also very traditional European. Don't enter with the idea this should be a facility like back home. Makes it easy to explore Syntagma and the Plaka. The fridge was a huge bonus to cool beverages for the next day.

The TV never worked but we never told anyone as we only wanted to look at the news and then went online. Everything else was great.

The location was very good. Easy to walk everywhere. Although in a very central location, it was very quiet outside. The staff was very pleasant. Specially the lady at the reception was very helpful. She managed early check-in for us and provided lots of information. We had a bottle of wine in the room which we enjoyed. The breakfast was good. We found everything we looked for. And the hotel had a baggage scale at the reception. It was very useful while checking out. I did not see this in other hotels, but very useful for not paying overweight in the airport.

The corridor was very narrow, rooms too close to each other. Although we heart no noise from the outside street, it was very loud inside the hotel with opening/closing hotel doors of other customers. The toilet had a ventilation which starts automatically once you switch on the light. And it was very loud. It would be ideal if there were two different buttons, one for electricity, the other for ventilation. The toilet has a sliding door which is normal for saving space in the room, however it also made noise specially once you use the toilet durlng the night. Very disturbing for the other who sleep.

The hotel’s location is fantastic, perfectly situated close to the main attractions, making it super convenient for exploring the area and even for reaching the Acropolis. Everything was impeccably clean and the buffet breakfast was excellent, offering a selection of both Greek specialties and continental dishes. There were several options for vegetarians, but I would suggest adding a few more vegan choices to make it even better. Everyone from the staff was exceptionally friendly, but a special shoutout goes to Dimitra. Her warm smile and attentive care in the breakfast room in the morning made all the difference. She ensured every guest was well taken care of and was always ready with helpful suggestions for sightseeing. Well done to the entire team at Hermes Hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel and look forward to staying here again!

The Hermes Hotel is in a great location, literally less than 10 minutes walk from the Metro station. The staff are all welcoming and pleasant. Our room 604 was clean and quiet looking out over buildings. Location was really good next to Plaka lovely restaurants on the steps and near the shopping areas and the hop on hop off bus stops. Breakfast was self help and nice we had our usual greek yogurt, fruit, toast, scrambled eggs. There were more options pastries, hams, cheese etc.

Nothing to not like.
