Absolutely magnificent view of Acropolis. I have taught World History for 30 years and always wanted to visit Athens. When students saw our pictures from our balcony and roof-top patio of Parthenon … they didn’t believe school teachers could stay in such a wonderful hotel. We are coming back to Acropolis View Hotel!!!

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Absolutely Unforgettable Stay by the Acropolis! My experience at this hotel near the Acropolis was nothing short of magical. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm Greek hospitality and impeccable service. The staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome, offering local tips and arranging everything from airport transfers to dinner reservations. The location is simply unbeatable — just a short stroll to the Acropolis and the Plaka district. Waking up to views of the Parthenon from my balcony was surreal. At night, the illuminated ruins created a stunning backdrop, making it feel like I was living in history. The rooms were modern, spotless, and incredibly comfortable. The bed was plush, the shower had great water pressure, and every detail felt thoughtfully designed. The rooftop terrace was a highlight — breakfast with a view of the Acropolis was an experience I'll never forget. If you're looking for a blend of luxury, location, and authentic charm in Athens, this hotel is the perfect choice. I would return in a heartbeat. Highly recommend! Let me know if you'd like the name of a specific hotel included or tailored for a real one.

The view from my room of the Acropolis was amazing. Absolutely worth the cost. Room was great, a little bigger than I expected. And just one floor down from the incredible rooftop breakfast view and experience. The bed was so surprisingly comfortable! And a wonderful variety and display of tasty breakfast options. Better than expected. The staff were awesome, very helpful and friendly. I am quite sensitive to chemical scents and they made sure my linens and room were totally unscented for me. That was huge. They also helped me set up multiple taxi rides, book tickets for the Acropolis and museum, as well as gave nearby restaurant recommendations. Such a positive experience. And, of course, perfect location.....just a little walk away from everything.

I stayed my first two nights here in Athens, then took the ferry elsewhere for several days. I returned to this hotel for my last night, before heading to the airport the next morning. I didn't realize I had booked an economy room this time around vs. the next level up, which was fine, but it was definitely a different experience. Bottom floor, smaller, kind of cramped corner room with window facing very active, busy street. It was doable, but not the greatest....though still nice and clean, and staff great, as usual.

The location was perfect for us. We liked being close to everything but not in the middle of the hustle and bustle. As others have said the view from the roof is fabulous. The breakfast was OUTSTANDING! We were so glad we decided to stay here on our arrival in Greece (Athens) instead of an Airbnb. The staff was always helpful and welcoming. They stored our luggage and let us hang out in the lobby for several hours on the day we checked out when we were taking a night ferry. We liked having a balcony and access to the roof at all times. We were introduced to freddo cappuccinos (highly recommend) in the lobby bar. Would stay here again!

The room is very tight for 3 people but what we expected since we didn't want to pay for 2 rooms or a more expensive hotel. There is little counter space for luggage in the room.

Panos Kanellopoulos was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Any questions or concerns or advice , he was ready to help. I saw so much of Athens because he helped me to navigate in the city. I was eating in the local restaurants only because I trusted him and his advice. Thank you, Panos, for your hospitality and kindness. Malgosia Dancziger

Bus hop on and off You can see most of the city and you can hop off if you like to see more. I got a ticket for a brown bus and it was valid for 2 days. It's a great way to see Athens. My hotel has a view at the Acropolis, and it's great.

The hotel exterior may not be eye-catching, but once inside, it’s truly impressive - clean, elegant, and tastefully decorated. The location is superb, just a few minutes' walk to the Acropolis, and the view is stunning: a sweeping panorama of Athens with the Acropolis in full sight, both day and night. I especially appreciated the reception staff, who were warm, helpful, and professional. Knowing I had an early 5 AM checkout for my flight, they thoughtfully prepared two takeaway breakfasts in advance - delicious, neat, and well-packaged. This was a thoroughly satisfying stay, and I would definitely choose this hotel again when returning to Athens.

View from the room wasn't great but we were only on the first floor and we didn't spend much time there anyway. The roof top view on the other hand was fabulous and you could go up there whenever you liked. The beds were comfortable, and I'm picky about beds! The rooms have a few built in USB charging ports which is very handy, so if you do forget your charging plug, you'll be fine! The breakfast set up wasn't big but there was still variety (pastry, cereals, breads, yoghurts, salad, boiled egg, fresh orange juice and more. It was good enough to set you up for the day. I have to say the breakfast ladies were super lovely! I always tried to say thank you to them after each meal. All the staff were wonderful. Unfortunately I forgot to get the names of them but the two gentleman we often saw at reception were so friendly and helpful. The one who checked us in gave us a map, plotting sites and offered restaurant recommendations as well. Location was fantastic. 3 mins to the Acropolis which is on a lovely promenade you can walk through. 15 mins to the centre (Monastiraki, Syntagma). We walked pretty much everywhere. Only taking a taxi to Lycabettus Hill - a 15mins journey about 10 euros. It is about an hour from the Airport - Taxi fare was about 47-50 Euros one way.

There were sometimes people talking loudly in the hallway which is more of a them problem than a hotel problem but it wasn't often enough to really bother me. So do note the doors aren't super noise blocking. Not so much to dislike to be fair. It's not a luxury hotel so you shouldn't expect it to be.

Our stay was absolutely perfect. We were impressed by the hotel's commitment to sustainable tourism and environmental responsibility. The reception staff were incredibly helpful, the room was spotless, the bed was exceptionally comfortable (and thankfully long enough!), and the bathroom was excellent. We also appreciated the complimentary Christmas treats and readily available coffee, the 24-hour bar, and the peaceful atmosphere. The rooftop on the fifth floor, where we had our breakfast every day, offered breathtaking views of the Acropolis and was open to guests throughout the day for drinks and relaxation. We celebrated New Year's Eve there, with a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine provided by the hotel! Furthermore, the central location made it easy to explore the city's main attractions on foot. I can't imagine a better experience.

In an otherwise flawless experience, the only minor inconvenience was that Uber taxis don't stop directly at the hotel entrance. However, this is a negligible detail, as both Uber and public transport are readily available within a short 200-meter walk.

The staff was excellent. We loved room 304 with a balcony. The rooftop breakfast was great and the view of the Acropolis was amazing! It does not get better than that! We were able to walk to all parts of Athens in 15 minutes so we never needed a car. We did take a couple of tours, Delphi and Temple of Poseidon / Cape Sounion that did require rides but the transportation was provided by the tours. The beds were nice and the rooms are very clean. The best local eats are: Dionysos Zonars for fine dining (3 minute walk). They have the same excellent view, great service and great food., For a local place for dinner without any tourists go to To Patari. This is a casual place where the locals go. It has a great vibe, outdoor cafe sitting, great prices and great food. Tell them Scott and Lynn sent you and you may get a free shot (11 minute walk) . The best street food is at Sabbas at Monastiraki Square. They have the best gyros! The pita is so fluffy and you can choose from chicken or pork for $4 including a water. Go to the counter to order (16 minute walk). The Acropolis View Hotel is all about location, location and location. It doesn't get better than this!

The TV only had Greek channels but we weren't there to watch TV.

The staff were exceedingly friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. The rooms were modern and clean. The view of the Acropolis was magical. We even got wafts of a major concert going on in the ancient Amphitheatre beneath the Acropolis. The view of the Acropolis was something we didn't want to let go when we left. This hotel with its friendly staff would be my first choice if I were to come back to Athens.

There is nothing I didn't like about this boutique hotel. We did have an overload issue on the lift when five hefty humans tried to get it to operate. Fortunately the safety system of the lift said there was an overload issue which turned out not to be an issue when one of us got out. Seriously, though, there was nothing we didn't like about this hotel.
