The Herodion Hotel has a perfect location just next to the Acropolis Museum and only a few metres away from the hop on open top bus stop. Really good location for walking around Plaka (lovely local food) or heading into the Athens high streets. Our hotel room was upgraded due to being on our honeymoon a lovely gesture. The room was equipped with everything you should need and very clean. The reception team were so helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Access cards to the rooftop hot tubs were such a treat and we highly recommend the A point roof top restaurant where we had a beautiful meal with the acropolis Parthenon overlooking, just stunning! Breakfast was great, a mixed selection with something for everyone, fresh ingredients and not too busy. A huge thank you to all that made our stay so relaxing and memorable.

The hotel was perfect.

I loved the staff! They were so helpful and nice, every one of them. The front desk wrote out directions for my daughter and I to ride the metro to the port to catch a ferry for our next destination. Also recommended a massage, Healing Arrow, if you’re looking for one, it’s a must. Enjoyed a view of the Parthenon from the jacuzzi and the breakfast was top notch. Metro is maybe 3 minutes on foot and I would say the Acropolis is about 10 minutes. Really enjoyed our stay here.

The only thing I didn’t like was the AC wouldn’t come on at night. It was not terribly hot though so it wasn’t a problem and it could’ve been more user error because I couldn’t figure out how to turn on the lights at first either. The key card turns them on. 😊

the location was amazing!!!! Minutes from the acropolis and so many other wonderful attractions! The room was very comfy and what I expected, clean and neat and tidy not luxurious. The breakfast was INCREDIBLE, great choice and variety and all delicious!!!!

the only thing that wasn't great was the aircon in the room. You could hardly feel it. we didn't mind too much but def would be a problem for some.

We love this hotel! The staff are friendly and helpful, the bar is cosy, especially when they light the fire, the rooms are comfortable, classy and clean and the location is fantastic, just round the corner from the Acropolis museum and with views of the Acropolis from some of the rooms. I am learning greek and all the staff were very patient with my attempts.

This time our room was just above the sliding entrance doors to the hotel, which we could hear opening and shutting throughout the night on the first night. The second night, we had enough in the bar not to notice.

I only had 1 day in Athens as a solo traveler, so I booked this hotel close to the Parthenon and meeting location for the tour I booked. The location was perfect! The hotel was clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The rooftop jacuzzi with a view of the Parthenon was the perfect way to wind down at the end of an exhausting trip. If I were to end up in Athens again, I would definitely go back to this hotel.

The location is very close to the Acropolis. Breakfast had some local products (olives, cheese, yogurt) and pastries but was always very busy. Staff was very nice and courteous, ready to provide info and help.

Rooms are very small, bathrooms can only accommodate one person at the time. Everything is a bit crammed together. The breakfast was always very busy and rather loud as the room is very small. Would be nice if the breakfast area was extended towards the bar of the hotel. The hotel blocked a guarantee on my card and it took more than a week to have the money released. The hotel should release any amounts immediately upon check out.

Highly recommend. View from rooftop restaurant/bar is stunning. Barring needing to be earlyish for eggs and that suspicious green bowl on the wall, all was excellent!

A half hour before breakfast service was finished, there was barely a scrape of eggs, potatoes and baked tomatoes/cheese. Everything else was plentiful. In a room devoid of pictures there was weirdly a small transparent green glass dessert bowl stuck on wall. Which leads one to speculation…

We had a room with Acropolis view and that was incredible. I’d recommend trying to get a 4th floor room to get more above the adjacent schoolyard! :) The place is well sound-proofed though so it wasn’t a bother. The rooftop hot tub was a fabulous feature. Also it is directly next to the Acropolis Museum and the south slope ticket gate. Excellent location.

Our room was lovely, the staff were amazing! Friendly, helpful and professional. Very close to the museum and we could see the Acropolis from the roof top bar.

The roof top restaurant wasn't open on Monday nights which was the only night we spent there! Such a shame, after a days travel it would have been lovely to go there if it was open.

Location was good- close to Acropolis. Breakfast was excellent. Staff was average, except for Nick, the assistant waiter at the Rooftop restaurant. He was far more attentive, knowledable and friendly than our own waiter. Nick should be promoted to a waiter; he would be awesome!
