Amazing location. Comfortable, compact and quiet room with terrace and stunning view of Acropolis. I only wish I’d had more time in Athens but given the location it was perfect area from which to explore. Continental breakfast was welcome for the early starts. Would absolutely stay here again.

Nothing from my perspective. My room (small double with Acropolis view) was perfect for a single but would be tight for a couple, mainly from the perspective of stowing luggage and toiletries. Would be perfect for a couple within Europe on a short break travelling light, though.

Wonderful welcoming hotel from arrival in the early hours to help on departure. Our room on the 5th floor was beautifully appointed with large terrace and stunning view of Acropolis. Comfortable beds, room serviced daily, such friendly staff. And super bathroom with a bath, unusual for Greece. Breakfast was delicious with savoury and sweet options. The hotel is in a perfect safe location for metro, museums, restaurants (and the best coffee and cakes at Alchemist nearby). Cannot emphasise enough our enthusiasm for this lovely hotel.

The hotel was so central to everything. We had a stunning view from our balcony looking up to The Acropolis. A very short walk to the Acropolis, the Museum and to the metro station. Plaka just a 10 minute walk through the beautiful market streets. If available book the small room with Acropolis view, the balcony is huge, it has sun loungers and a table and chairs, it's completely private. It would be perfect if the weather was warm, we still managed to take advantage even though it was winter.

Honestly there is nothing negative to say about our stay.

The location was really hard to beat - we had a view of the Acropolis from the hotel roof! A short walk up the hill and you are at the museum. Go a little further and the Parthenon is in plain sight.

Ok, we should have read the pricing list for services. Even so, we had a small collection of laundry done and the cost was 140 EUR. Again, we take responsibility for missing this. Laundry service for socks, underwear and a few t-shirts should not be this expensive. If a budget matters to you, find a local laundromat.

I recently stayed at a hotel in Athens that boasts a stunning view of the Acropolis, and it did not disappoint. The location is perfect, being close to the city center and all major attractions, making it an ideal base for exploring the vibrant city. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and waking up to the sight of the Acropolis is truly magical.

The breakfast was a letdown. It was quite boring and repetitive, lacking variety and creativity. Every day was the same food selection, not a single change was made.

The location and view were amazing. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great much better than expected. The patio was huge and comfortable for a night cap with a spectacular view of the acropolis. It was a short scenic walk to major attractions.

The only thing was that the shower was quite small but for the price it was well worth it.

Clean and quiet. Wonderfully helpful and accommodating staff! Super strong AC when it was working. Several breakfast options: my favorite was Greek yogurt with honey drizzle.

Our first day/night the AC was only working at 50% capacity and we’d walked miles in 94 degrees. By the next morning it was fixed and we froze- had to readjust thermostat!

Highly recommend. Stayed here before, same high standard again. Excellent service from Reception and breakfast staff. Included breakfast very nice. Lovely views of the acropolis from our little terrace. Nice room, small but all we needed for a one night stopover. Last visit we stayed longer and selected a larger room for only a little more. Very close to local sights if you like to walk as we do. Cafes nearby. Our favourite close by is Little Tree Books and Coffee.

A great location ideal for seeing the main sites in Athens. Breakfast was good if a bit limited. Rooms were very comfortable and clean with good air conditioning if a bit small.

There was not a lot of space within the hotel to relax outside of our room. Outside areas were not that great. But if you are there to see the sights then this should not be a problem. The front desk staff do not smile that much

Both the Phillipos and the Herodion have a kind and caring staff. Both facilities are lovely and well maintained. The location is the best in Athens. We wouldn't stay anywhere else because it feels like home...

It's a sin that illegal and ugly apartment buildings have blocked the view of the Acropolis from the fifth floor.
