Superb location and wonderful views from rooftop restaurant/bar. Quiet area but only five minutes walk from the hubbub. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Rooms very tight for space and could do with some updating. Shower had tendency to run to scalding hot without water. However, we spent little time in hotel with so much to explore in the city so it really didn’t bother us.

Cleanliness, location, close to Acropolis, Temple of Zeus, Parthenon, Areopagus Hill, Temple of Athena, lots of restaurants, Plaka, public transportation, bus, metro, house keeping was thorough, hop on hop off bus etc. comfortable bed,

My room was renovated, therefore no drawers, no safe and no airport shuttle.

Absolutely fine place! Everything worked well:: Staff, room, breakfast... all. Because we left to the airport very early, they gave us "breakfast boxes". Really cool.

The room had a large terrace that had unimpeded views of the Acropolis. The location was two metro stops away from Syntagma station but walkable to the Acropolis and to say, Zappheion Hall. All the metro stops had lifts, so you travel with luggage quite easily. The staff were great, gave me early check-in and when I booked another night, the same room though the rates were lower. There was a welcome drink at the bar, though I dont rate the food very highly.

A coffee machine would have ben nice and the shower was a menace - either hot enough to scald or cold. I resorted to baths, borrowing a plug for the sinkhole from the front desk. It is strange that plugs are not in the room.

Property was lovely and clean. Staff were amazingly helpful and spoke very good English. The air conditioning in our room was the best we have ever had. The room was large and had plenty of room for the two of us. Breakfast was ok, but not the all singing dancing breakfast previous reviews have given this property. The hotel though is not without its quirks. The lift is big enough for two people but not if you have large suitcases with you. Then it’s one at a time with a suitcase. On arrival the concierge brought out cases up after us. The rooftop bar is mostly given over to a restaurant. There is enough room for about 6 people to stand and admire the view and have a drink without sitting to have a meal. There are also 5 steps from the path to the entrance. I only mention this for those of you out there who maybe have mobility issues. There is no ramp.

We visited the rooftop restaurant/bar twice. I have to be honest, the welcome we received up there from the man behind the bar wasn’t particularly welcoming, and we left immediately . We did stay briefly the second time to have a drink and enjoy the view because it was our last night, but again the welcome was not cordial. Maybe he was stressed, although not many were in the restaurant at the time. I must stress this was the only negative of our stay, and I’m not to sure they our hotel staff because the venue is advertised with a different name to the hotel.

Acropolis Select Hotel – A great base for exploring Athens! I had a lovely stay at Acropolis Select Hotel. The location is fantastic — just a short stroll to the Acropolis and all the ancient wonders. The room was clean and comfy, the staff were warm and helpful, and the breakfast gave me the perfect start for my adventures. A nice surprise? They sent me a complimentary bottle of wine 🍾, and I enjoyed a refreshing glass of rosé at their rooftop with a stunning view of the Acropolis. What more could you ask for? Okay, there is one tiny thing: the elevator. There’s just one, and it’s… let’s say “cosy” (claustrophobes, you’ve been warned! 😂). But honestly, that didn’t stop me from loving my stay. I’d definitely recommend this hotel and would happily stay again when I return to Athens! 🇬🇷🌞

Booked this hotel for my elderly parents-in-law, and the experience was absolutely outstanding. The staff went above and beyond — from arranging punctual taxi transfers to providing clear, detailed information in advance, which made it so much easier for me to prepare my non-English-speaking in-laws for their trip. Everyone was incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The highlight was the stunning rooftop terrace restaurant with a direct view of the Acropolis — a truly unforgettable setting. My parents-in-law had a wonderful and comfortable stay, and I couldn’t be more grateful. This is what 5-star service looks like. Highly recommended!

The location is exceptional, walking distance to all major historic attractions. Local restaurants were amazing, and although public transport is apparently very good we used Uber and never had to wait more than 3 minutes for a very reasonably priced taxi.

Taking into consideration that it's a 3 star hotel (doesn't feel like it, more like 4 star) I cant say that i didn't like any part of it. Maybe the rooftop facilities could have been available before 19.00. Even then, the fact that they have it and what a view at night of the well lit Acropolis, isn't really a "dont like"!

Oh my goodness, the view from the roof top restaurant, must be one of the best in Athens, it took my breath away. The room was very comfortable and surprisingly quite peaceful. I was on my own there with my 9 year old daughter and the staff looked after us really well. The breakfast was varied and there was something for everyone. The koulouri were especially good. The hotel is just a 5 minute walk from the Acropolis area and feels safe to walk even at night.

Everyone is talking about the lift, we say it is quirky! They’re changing it in December, but if we visited again, we would miss it!

We are first time in Greece, so it's difficult to compare to anything. The location was amazing, as far as going to see the Parthenon and other sites. The room was cozy, small because I had to use my computer for work so me using the chair at the desk blocked my husband from getting to the bathroom (he had to climb over the bed. Not a big deal though. Breakfast was amazing! Fresh food every day, and never ran out of anything. I am super impressed with Acropolis Select, and would try to go there again if I go back to Athens!

Since we did not know what to expect in a different country, we had to go with the flow. We never had any issues that couldn't be handled. I am super impressed again with The Acropolis Select, and would return in a heartbeat!
