Good location and rooftop pool is excellent after a long day. Staff are really friendly and the food was good

Air con was very noisy and it’s not easy to get the right temp as it’s just 3 set speeds, but it’s a minor thing.

Hotel is within walking distance to Acropolis and Plaka

In the street where the hotel is located there are very high buildings, and sound tends to create echo chamber where the hotel is located. So cars and motorcycles sound very loud when they pass in front of the hotel. Sometimes very late at night. Hotel is not sound proof.

Amazing view over the acropolis and a great swimming pool area to refresh after a hit day walking around Athens. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was fantastic. Our room was clean and comfortable with a good shower and amenities.

A beer at the pool was very very expensive and they have a sign saying for "health and tax reasons" you can not bring a beer (even in a can or plastic cup) from outside the hotel. I had stayed in another hotel in Athens before this and purchased some cabs of beer to enjoy by the pool and they said it was no problem. Just a money making grab.

The room was modern and clean, great big bathroom. The pool and view from the rooftop bar were both fantastic.

The location was not the best, we didn’t feel comfortable walking through the surrounding streets but it was ok to jump in a taxi which didn’t cost too much.

On our first night, we were given a room at the 2nd floor which was filthy. The carpet dirty, smelly room , bed seemed to have bed bugs, and the worst toilet/shower with kumps of moulds on the tiles and very smelly. I had allergy attack because of the room condition and vomitted on our first night. I was gagging everytime I would go to the toilet. I then requested for a room transfer in the morning asking for a room without carpet. Immediately, the reception guy on the morning of the 27th Dec 2024 accomodated our request and moved us to a better and seemed like a newly renovated room. I was very thankful for that staff who granted our request. This made our stay until the 30th December better and more comfortable. The breakfast was always beautiful and with lots of choices with traditional Greek breakfasts available. The staff at the buffet breakfast were all very lovely especially the one with the curls, she wasn't there on our last breakfast day (30th Dec), i would have thanked her for her beautiful service from the 27th-29th.

The first room at the second floor Room 206, i don't think this is still habitable. People can get sick of the condition of this room's carpet, bed and toilet.

Great location, taxis always available right out front, but also walking distance to popular tourist spots, cafes, restaurants, and more! Elevator and stairs accessible (we stayed on the 9th floor, and we even used the stairs just for fun as part of our daily exercise and steps), in-house breakfast daily, rooftop restaurant and bar, rooftop pool. Room was tidy and modern, ample storage for clothing and luggage. Balcony was a nice bonus, allowed for us to clip our running gear (variety of streets all around for those runners like us) on the chairs outside to dry. Rooftop provided an amazing view of the Parthenon during the day and an even more amazing view night!

Elevators were out of service for part of a day, but fixed in a timely manner. Pool towels ran out from the rooftop bar near the end of one of the days of our stay, and they had no more to provide to us, so we went to use the pool without a towel. Outside traffic was heard pretty clearly from our room, but it was not disturbing for sleep.

As someone who has travelled extensively and have stayed in a fair few Best Western hotels, I booked the Dorian expecting it to be very nice . I had booked a Queen Comfort room . After checking in , I went to my room which was anything but a comfort room and definitely was not what I had booked . For the first time in my life , I returned to reception and told the staff that I wasn’t happy with the standard of my room . Greece is the 69th country I have visited and I have stayed in hundreds of hotels , both in the UK and across 6 continents. I must say , the staff were fabulous, they moved me to a suite , so I had three nights in a beautiful room . The staff were very friendly and incredibly helpful . The rooftop bar and Pool were lovely , with stunning views of the Acropolis. I had a wonderful time !

Clean & quite room, beautiful view over the city, due to the higher height of the building compared with the surrounding. Superb restaurant and bar at the top floor with beautiful pool and amazing view over Athens. Area is safe if you walk on the main streets at reasonable hours.

I came to Athens for a Greek experience, so I would have liked to have some authentic Greek food for breakfast, like feta cheese, olives, and tzatziki. But these were missing. Ground floor shops and offices throughout the city are protected after closing with blinds, which are vandalized with graffiti. This creates an unpleasant, peripheral neighborhood look, even though you are right in the center of the capital. Many surrounding buildings are abandoned, but this is definitely not the hotel fault.

The hotel is located conveniently close to trains and buses. If you’re able to walk for 20 to 30 minutes you’ll be in the heart of all major attractions, markets and restaurants. There’s electronic stores near by for any special electronics you would need like cell phone chargers. There’s plenty of small coffee shops and a very good souvlaki restaurant across the street too. The hotel offers a rooftop pool which is beautiful and a small late night dinner and bar next to the pool. As for the breakfast it’s buffet style and it’s about the same everyday. The neighborhood or area the hotel is in does seem alittle sketchy but nothing happen that o saw of that ordinary. I would recommend the hotel if you don’t wanna spend so much on hotel room and for the transportation convenience.

The area

This is a lovely little hotel, great value, lovely staff, beautiful views and while the location is in a slightly gritty area, it is ideal for access to transport including being a couple of minutes walk from the hop on hop off bus stop, which is a great way to get around. We were really impressed with the room, the comfy beds, the nice facilities and beautiful pool and facilities.

The other guests! Unfortunately the hotel seems to be quite busy with younger people who block the walkways by the pool, and hog all the space so it's hard for regular people to enjoy the facilities.
