Comfortable room with a large balcony. Older building but well maintained. Staff and breakfast were both great.

Location was close to center but the street is awful. Filled with trash and smelled of urine. Prostitutes and drug addicts abound. Do not turn left as you exit the hotel! Beyond horrible. Way worse than tiajuana, Mexico. Women and children sitting on sidewalk corners selling vegetables out of bags on the ground. Shady people that appear under the influence. There's some sort of restaurant up the street where I was the only woman. Just don't turn left out of the hotel and do NOT stay out after dark! Would not ever stay there again due to the location and the horrible area it's in!!!

It's a typical, old-school hotel with all the basic facilities, nothing more. Nice hall, elegant and kind receptionist at the desk, an elevator, and a room with classic furniture and bathroom, typical of older two/three-star hotels. No place for something special and extra comfort, however it's perfect for having just an affordable place to stay. We loved the rich breakfast, there is a bit of everything.

Although it is very close to the famous landmarks, and that was convenient, we didn't like the rough flavour of the area, which is close to Omonia (a square to avoid). We were a bit afraid in the evening, and even during the day, there were rough looking people passing by with nothing to lose... Concerning the hotel, we didn't have higher expectations than just a safe place to stay, so there were no disappointments. It was a decent place.

Good staff, very helful. Other negative, yes all what was written regarding the strett in front hotel, also a problem with air condition, problem was control of tempetrature...remote control and unit of air condition is hard to control...to achive what you wish to get

My stay at Hotel Marina was unexpectedly good and beyond every expectation. Everything was spotlessly clean and well-organized, the staff was very kind and helpful, from reception to housekeeping and waiters. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choices including fruits, pastries, pies, and various beverages. As for the area, on the one hand, it is in a very central location in the city, and I didn't need to use any means of transportation. On the other hand, it presents an image of a multicultural city with many nationalities, something that did not bother me at all. It is clear that the hotel is not responsible for the situation in the center of Athens, it seems to be doing everything possible on its own to improve the image of the immediate area. The Marina Hotel has become my "base" for all future visits to Athens. I wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone.

The room was fine. The staff was extra ordinary. They were great. Our room was cleaned earlier and we could check in earlier which was very much appreciated. The neighbourhood was not the best however we were happy overall. The breakfast was also good fair amount of choices.

There was some maintenance going on and some sort of construction so that disturbed our rest a bit.

The location - close to the metro/subway, walking distance - 500 metres - to Monastiraki place. The room - rather big, with comfortable beds and huge balcony. The breakfast - basic but enough food.

The neighbourhood is like train station neighbourhoods, with "all kinds" of inhabitants. It was safe for us though. The staff booked a very expensive guided tour for us, in my opinion. However, the guide had a lot of historically accurate facts to tell.

Ioanna, Vaya and the hotel staff was amazing and helpful they did their outmost to make our stay wonderful. You could choose cold and hot meals for breakfast, we were amazed. The cleaning ladies often cleaned our room, we are grateful for their diligence. Our room was equipped with a balcony, I was happy to start my mornings staring at the city.

The neighbourhood is not the Best next to the hotel. Somebody smoked before our stay and we smelled it throughout our stay as a non smokers. Vaya did their best, but the smell didn't disappear.

A fairly good choice at breakfast but I would have likes a little more fruit. My room was adequate for the times I used it. The location was central so ideal for my stay. Some of the streets nearby were a bit rundown but I never felt uncomfortable

The lift was a bit small for the size of hotel.

Good breakfast, receptionists were nice, room was decent and clean, good shower and good bed and silent

Hotel rooms are very dated and need refurbishment, they are literally falling apart. Not a big issue but the appearance is not great.
