I like the rooftop where you can enjoy your breakfast with the spectacular view of Acropolis.

The only thing I don’t like it where its not the property’s fault was the location is a little bit sketchy especially during the night.

My friends and I had a great stay at the Dunlin Hotel! The place was spotless, well-equipped with all the latest tech, and the staff were genuinely friendly. My room was just the right size, with a comfortable mattress that made for restful nights. The best part, though, was the breakfast area, bar, and smoking section on the 8th floor – the panoramic view of Athens from there is amazing and breathtaking. Would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Athens.

While the area around the hotel might seem a bit rough, and some locals appear a bit unusual at first glance, we encountered no issues during our stay, and the hotel staff assured us that the neighborhood is safe despite appearances. Nevertheless, as with any city, it’s always wise to stay aware of your surroundings.

Everything was fine, the room was spacious and nicely decorated and overlooked the trees in the street, but our relatives had a room in the courtyard and there the view was pretty awful. The hotel had promised us rooms on the top floor but at check in they said they were overbooked and we couldn't have that room. That made me very angry. Breakfast was adequate, although I probably would have liked something hot as well, not just cold sausages and eggs. But the view of the Acropolis from the morning bar at the top was amazing. Hotel is perfectly accessible by metro and then a short walk from Omonia Square, near the historic center of Athens.

The area around the hotel is a bit like Hasting Street in Vancouver - lot of homeless people and strange existences. But that's not the hotel's fault. Personally, the only thing I didn't like was that they didn't keep their promise and give us the room we booked on the top floor.

The power of the shower - I don't think I ever wrote this in a review but it truly was tremendous! The room was really modern and comfortable. The breakfast was on the roof, plentiful and offering a fabulous view of the acropolis. Despite being warned about the location, I did not notice or feel any concern, the hotel is about 30m off the main road, but our room was really quiet at night and we slept with the window open! It took us only about 20mins to walk to the acropolis and we were able to easily reach all attractions from here by foot. The man at the reception was fabulous, and patiently gave answers to our many questions - thank you so much your advice about buses saved us lots of $$!

The safe did not work in our room, you did offer to repair it, but we declined, I only write this to remind. I really can't think of anything, it was all very well done.

My stay at the Dunlin Hotel was fantastic! The hotel was impeccably clean, equipped with modern technology, and the staff were warm and welcoming. What really stood out was the 8th-floor breakfast area, which also serves as a bar and smoking section, offering breathtaking panoramic views of Athens. It’s the ideal spot to enjoy a coffee in the morning or a drink in the evening. I’d highly recommend this hotel to anyone planning a visit to Athens!

The place was very nice, the room was modern and quite big, and we could see the Acropolis from the terrace. The room had a heating, and on our second night, we also used the a/c in the heating mode, while the weather was windy and cold. Breakfast was on the rooftop with an amazing view, lots of choices and everything was delicious. On the last day of our stay, we had an early flight and had to check out before breakfast, so personnel prepared us a lunch box, which was very nice :) The hotel is very close to the metro, so we took a train from and to the airport. It is easy to take a metro to get to the Acropolis too, but while the weather in the morning was nice we decided to talk, and it took 25 minutes. We didn't find the neighborhood unsafe or anything like that, it was not our first time in Athens and for us, it looked typical for this city.

Rooms were very clean and new, staff was very helpful with anything and they would recommend which restaurants or tours were good. Our reservation came with a free breakfast buffet for our duration of stay which I was not aware of but so thankful to the hotel! The view from the breakfast room was stunning, you see all of Athens! Location was good too, it was either a walking/metro/uber trip away and metro is pretty cheap, Uber was priced good too but I’d recommend taking the metro, you can get to places in a couple stops! Highly recommend for the value you get for the price :) We loved our stay here!

Nothing to complain about the property, everything was 5 stars.

Breakfast was really nice, i was missing scrambled eggs, but on other hand they provided traditional food (spinach pie) which added value to the outstanding athomsphere on the rooftop ! Starting every day with such beautiful view on the city + acropolis while having breakfast is something special ! The stuff was very helpful with multiple questions we had during our trip. They even allowed us stay on the rooftop during New Year Eve.

First impression of the locality of the hotel was quite shocking for me. One could say i was feeling a bit scared. But during our 7days trip, nobody even approached us and we get used to that area and felt safe. On other hand we could basically walk to any our turistic trip by walk with managable distance.

I loved the roof top terrace and the efficiency of the staff, they accommodated our every need and made us feel welcomed. They arranged our taxis which arrived on time. Couldn’t fault the hotel and staff! 👍

As others have mentioned, the surrounding side streets to the area is used by homeless people (they were harmless and my heart went out to them) and I feel this is not just a problem to this area but probably all the outskirts of the City. It is only the side streets that you encounter this problem. If you keep to the main roads the area is good and has a beautiful church close by and many large hotels.

Dunlin Hotel pleasantly surprised me with its excellent location – just a 10-minute walk from the historic center of Athens. There is a metro station nearby, making it incredibly convenient to travel around the city, including trips to the airport. I especially want to highlight the wonderful Pakistani restaurant located just a few steps from the hotel. I recommend it to everyone – very affordable prices, huge portions, and incredibly tasty food. Even after moving to other apartments in Athens, I continued to visit this restaurant. There is also a market in the area where you can find hats or protective glasses at very reasonable prices. The hotel itself was very clean, with pleasant decor and all the necessary amenities, including air conditioning and good Wi-Fi. In short, it has everything you need for a comfortable stay.
