I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Hotel Ilisia! The location couldn't be better—it's perfectly situated in a lively and charming neighborhood filled with great bars, restaurants, and local spots, yet it's still just a short walk from the city center, making it ideal for exploring. My room was spotless and very comfortable, and I especially loved the private balcony with an amazing view—a perfect place to relax after a day of teaching. The breakfast each morning was delicious, with a variety of fresh options to choose from. What really made my stay special was the friendly and attentive staff. Everyone I interacted with was warm, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. If you're visiting the city and want a clean, well-located hotel with great service and amenities, I wholeheartedly recommend Hotel Ilisia. I’ll definitely be back!

While the room could have been a little more spacious, it was very comfortable and thoughtfully arranged.

I had a four night stay at the Alicia Hotel in January. It is comfortable and well-appointed. Staff are friendly and helpful. A good breakfast choice with lovely freshly squeezed orange juice. The room was a good size and clean and comfortable. You receive a voucher for a free drink in the bar on the day you arrive and the mini-bar contents are free - nice touches.

The walk from Evangalismos station is not far but some of the pavements are badly maintained and difficult with a wheely suitcase. Not the fault of the hotel of course and the problem of badly maintained pavements is Athens-wide.

This is a really nice hotel that exceeded our expectations. All the staff we met were friendly and helpful. Our room was a good size with a very large balcony, a nice bathroom and even free items in the mini bar. We were able to control the air conditioning, which we appreciated. Breakfast was ample with a good variety to choose from. Parking was a bonus. The location was good for us as we were able to walk to Syntagma Square and also catch buses and the metro within a 5 minute walk from the hotel. The hotel doesn't have a restaurant but there are several cafes and restaurants within a few minutes' walk. A special comment for Evgenia, the bartender, who is very friendly and an asset to the hotel. The only thing we would have liked is to be able to decline room service (do not disturb sign) as we do not need towels changed and the room tidied every day, but that is a personal preference not a criticism.

The staff was super friendly and accommodating. Our visit was in order to take part in the Athens Classic Marathon and the hotel staff graciously accommodated our very early departures on both days by offering, either breakfast boxes, or, on the date of the Marathon, opening the breakfast buffet a whole hour earlier than usual (there were other visitors who were taking part as well). They also offered us two free complimentary drinks from the hotel bar which was a nice touch. Breakfast quality and variety was top notch (they offered, among many other things, freshly squeezed orange juice) and the hotel is centrally situated near the airport metro line as well as being within easy walking distance of the main Athenian tourist attractions.

It is but a small detail but, the shower head in our room was too low for me (I'm 1,92m in height). Also, the rim of the bathtub was quite high and I understand that this could be a problem for elderly visitors. It was a bit of a challenge even for me after I finished my marathon.

What more could you get in one hotel, other than location, hygiene, nice food, access to transport? People who work there of course, and beside acing all common expectations in facilities and services, people working in Ilisia hotel are its true gold. From the very entrance you're greeted with professional crew at the reception desk, which with smile has right answer even before you ask question. Silent and efficient kitchen staff serving delicious food. Very polite cleaning lady not annoyed by fact that she should come later to clean our room, but she even sorted kid toys in funny and amusing way :) And if you're in for some cocktail, bar lady Eugenia will provide you not only the perfect drink, but also great atmosphere and quality talk (in English or Greek ;) ). Located between big hotel names such as Hilton and Crown Plaza, Ilisia is a true gem and I hope we'll have opportunity to stay there again.

They were available for us to do the check- in a bit earlier due to our toddler naptime. The room was very big with huge bed, a free minibar, even drink vouchers . We liked the big table and the huge balcony. The beds are really comfy, the staff helpful . The breakfast was also very good with a lot of choices. We really liked the ice tea in the free minibar. It was a bit further away from the sights but the metro is really close and it also connects directly to the airport for only 9 eur

Literally nothing to mention

The Ilisia is a great base for exploring Athens and is only a five minute walk away from the Evangelisma met station. A room upgrade meant we were truly looked after and had very luxurious facilities to cool down and have a perfect nights sleep away from the heat, hustle and bustle of full on tourist Athens. A great buffet breakfast made sure we were ready for the day’s activities.

Nothing. Just be aware that there’s a building project nearby - but no noise impact when we were there. There’s no view from this hotel - but that’s not what we were looking for.

Everything about the hotel was amazing. The staff is always happy to assist and always with a smile. I felt so comfortable. The room was beautiful, and the shower was the best feature. Overall, I loved it. I will definitely rebook again. They also offered me a complimentary drink at the bar for the duration of my stay (that was so thoughtful although I don't drink). The breakfast was great, and everything tasted fresh. I am super grateful to the staff for making my stay pleasant. I will definitely visit again and stay longer ❤️

Very well organized hotel. You feel that the hotel management has taken care of every little detail. Excellent breakfast, nice lounge area, all rooms are very nice and have balcony, the staff is everywhere very friendly, reception staff is very friendly, the staff at the breakfast is very friendly, the cleaning staff also is very friendly and they really take care of all your needs. And most of all the location is really very good, everything is in a walking distance. The main areas of interest in central Athens, they are all nearby, also metro is nearby, buses are nearby.

Our stay was excellent and we were really happy with the hotel! Very nice staff, clean hotel and room, the bed and pillows were really comfortable and the breakfast was great as well! There were also free drinks in the mini bar and a complimentary drink in the bar upon arrival, which was a very nice surprise!

The only thing that bothered us a little were loud sounds coming from the hallway that could be heard in the room.
