Perfect location, extremely service minded staff, everything we needed was provided. A/C was needed during our stay and worked perfectly. Very nice room with a balcony!

Have stayed here a number of times before and I am always very satisfied and I always recommend it to friends who ask me where to stay in Athens. It is great value for the money. The Zappion Hotel is in a neighbourhood that I personally like very much. A bit away from the touristic areas, but still within walking distance to everything. It is surrounded by a lot of nice and good value restaurants (e.g. at Platia Proskopon or Platia Varnava). This time I had a room on the top floor with no other rooms next to it or above it. It was perfectly quiet and I couldn't have wished for more. Everything that matters to me is good: comfy bed, air condition/ heating, good internet connection, clean, lots of storage space, shower with good water pressure and constant temperature, and pretty quiet.

I really can't complain about anything. It is a simple hotel and the price reflects that. There is no luxury, but the overall offer fits my needs and the staff is super friendly and helpful. A few things could be fixed/ upgraded (bathroom tiles, toilet), but personally, I don't mind as long as everything is clean and otherwise comfortable.

I cannot fault the place. it is exactly what I wanted. It is a practical hotel with happy staff. The rooms were better than I was expecting, bedrooms were well furnished, all with AC. The transfer driver was a happy man , very helpful as were the check in staff. It was exactly what I was hoping for and the hotel and staff did exactly what I wanted them to. Get me to and from hotel when I asked for, good comunication and a restful nights sleep. The 10 for the preoperty is not to say it equals the ritz carlton, just that it measured up to, and above, what it promised as an experience. Thankyou. ps exellent bakery (and icecream) just down the road 15 mins walk.

Zappion Hotel was a great low price place to stay in Athens. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful; the room and the hotel in general were very clean; the bed was very comfortable and the sheets were very clean; the bathroom was very clean; good wifi and TV, the location is only a 10 minute walk from Plaka, and it is an enjoyable walk; the air conditioning was excellent, there is a small convenience store about a 3 minute walk from the hotel.

The shower was very small, probably only 2 feet wide (but I did not measure it) and no shelf or tray to hold soap/shampoo inside the shower, the furniture was a bit beaten up, but that is to be expected in this price category. Still nothing was actually broken (which I have experienced at other similarly priced hotels). In general I would say that the shortcomings were well within what would be expected and did not detract for my enjoyment of my stay at the hotel. I would definitely stay at the Zappion again.

I chose the location for my last two nights in Athens as I wanted to explore the Pangrati/Mets area and also to be in walking distance of Syntagma for New Year's Eve. The room was quite small, but was fine for just one person and had everything I needed including AC/Heating. It also had a small balcony and my floor had access to a gigger balcony/patio area as well. The location was very close to the main area for restaurants and shops in Pangrati/Mets and to a number of good restaurants and cafes. It is also close to the Kallimarmaro stadium and Athens First Cemetery which I wanted to visit. it was also within walking distance of the Metro line and even the Acropolis which I visited on my last day. The hotel also has 24 hour reception which one doesn't often get in more budget accommodation. They were also very accommodating with holding my luggage for me so I could do some sightseeing before my flight.

The bathroom was a bit of a tight squeeze, especially the shower, but I managed okay.

The location cannot be better. Just tucked away at the perfect walkable distance from everything and yet perfectly placed at the beginning of Metz a very nice suburb. I would recommend this to anyone solo or group!

Absolutely nothing to not like about. Everything seems in the perfect manner. Some might say that the shower is small, but it was totally fine for me.

The room was very clean and in good mainteinance, also it's very good according to quality-price

The internet was regular and some members of the staff were really nice but some others not that much. We stayed a week and the day of check-out we were called to leave the room by phone at 11:05, even though they had a sign in the room indicating the check-out was at 12. Also previously had sent an email with all the details and indicated 12 as the time to check-out. That was a pitty that after a complete week our last impression of the hotel was that.

Zappion Hotel is situated in the centre of Athens, and very close to the metro station. The hotel is located in a quiet and safe area. Its central location is essential for travelling and also for visiting all the ancient historical areas in the city. The room was very comfortable with all the necessary amenities and very clean. I would like to thank the housekeeping for the everyday cleaning service. Reception is 24 hours open, and the staff is always there to support with any issue, being always very friendly with outstanding professionalism. I was welcomed by all the staff members with a warm smile; and I felt like at home during the whole stay. I always believed that you can find the luxury in a hotel, apart from the amenities, also in the warm heart of the staff, and that is the case in the Zappion Hotel! I will definitely come back, next time travelling to Athens. Unconditionally recommended.

Super location, quiet but near transport and Acropolis. Room was compact but clean. Nice little balcony. Air con works well, as did the fridge. Beds comfortable.

Aroom safe might be a good addition. WiFi connection patchy at best. This is due to the concrete construction of the building. A WiFi extender on each floor would easily solve the issue and boost the router signal to all parts,without huge cost. The building is also sited below the levels of other blocks so outdoor 4/5g reception isn't good either. Breakfast was OK, but cafés in the vicinity may offer more for the same cost.

The rooms were clean and very comfortable as well as quiet due to the hotel being in a sidestreet away from the main road traffic. The staff were welcoming, very friendly and always available for advice on restaurants or questions about the public transportation system. The hotel is in walking distance to the most important sightseeings of Athens if you go past the former olympic stadium and through the national garden (Ethnikos Kipos). Around the corner of the hotel you have several popular bars and restaurants like Cupola (Trattoria), Abstract for nice drinks or the Zogler Cafe Cocktail bar.
