What an incredible hotel! This was such a special stay, and the family that owns and runs it is part of why it’s so great. It’s away from the village and so quiet, it’s the perfect place to relax. I spent a whole week jumping between my room, the private beach and the restaurant - I ate all my meals there for the entire time as the food is exceptional and traditional Greek. I had the fish several times, and saw the hotel owner himself catch them that morning, the epitome of fresh fish. The Sfakia pie was really memorable. It’s simple rooms but they are very clean and you have everything you need: a view, comfy bed and air con. I will be back here for years to come, a truly special stay on Crete and the family make you feel like you are part of theirs. A lovely cosy and very remote place with an own tiny beach. If you wish to stay away from all the hustle and bustle of the modern world, this place is perfect. The owner is super friendly, the rooms are spacious, AC works well. Just a simple place wih everything you need to spend some time of your quiet holiday. The restaurant is extraordinary, one of the best in Agia Roumeli :-)

The room could be a bit more carefully cleaned and I missed a shelf on the wall in the bathroom. The bed small I slept on, had not the best matrasse in the world. Nevertheless, it was not a big issue and everything else was great.

Really lovely taverna at the far end of the beach at Agia Roumeli. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly and it was a great place to stay. The beach was literally only a few steps away and they provided free sunbeds and umbrellas. We had breakfast there one morning which was very nice. The balcony was an excellent place for getting our things dry.

The bathroom was somewhat inadequate - off one of the bedrooms so the person in the second bedroom had to walk through the other bedroom. Second bedroom was also the kitchen which was not well equipped (we didn't use it). Bathroom was small.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The hosts were incredibly kind and made us feel right at home. Everything was perfect, from the warm welcome to the attention to detail. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the facilities were excellent. The staff was always attentive to our needs. The hotel’s location is great, with easy access to Samaria Gorge. Our apartment had a stunning sea view, and the food was delicious. Thank you for everything! We will definitely return and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an unforgettable experience.

Everything was perfect

This place is a gem, in the corner of the bay of agia roumeli it gives you the quiet and the southern crete vibes. The rooms are clean, with a fantastic view and a balcony, some utilities and ac. The structure has free umbrellas at the sea, kayaks for the guests and a pedalo also available. The owner is very welcoming. If you want you can eat at their taverna which is delicious. Fresh fish caught by the owner is the best choice. A very authentic place. Higly recommended.

Right by the sea. Just a walk down some steps from the room to the quiet beach with very clear water and good snorkeling. Hotel on its own, 7 min walk to the village so the beach is more like a private beach. Wonderful outlook. Nice size balcony. Good restaurant. Staff very welcoming and helpful. Sun loungers provided free of charge. Lift provided to the port when leaving if needed. Room spacious and clean. Good Aircon. Definitely hope to return.

It's fine for the price but if anything I would just comment that the bathroom is functional. No frills. Shower over bath could do with a shower curtain to prevent floor getting wet.

Our room overlooked the ocean and it was peaceful and quiet. It was up on the hill from the town so it was an extra 10 min walk if you are coming from the gorge, but it makes for nice views and easy access to a more secluded beach area. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The beds were pretty comfy as well. For the price it is great!

We found some stray hairs in the bathroom and on the towels. The restaurant wasn’t open due to us being in early season, but the owner did offer to make us breakfast since it was supposed to be included in the room!

The location is amazing! A very cozy quiet place, this is my third time coming here. The room has everything you need for a comfortable stay, the view from the balcony is stunning. You can sit on the balcony for a long time, drink wine, listen to the sound of the surf and watch the stars. The light from the oil lamp creates a romantic atmosphere :) A very beautiful beach with few people, which is undoubtedly a plus. The hotel provides sunbeds, umbrellas, kayaks and a catamaran free of charge. The tavern serves excellent food, and the tsatsiki are worthy of special admiration. I tried a lot of different fresh fish and every time it was cooked amazingly, my favorite was the red lion fish. It looked just as great on a plate as it did in the sea. The kitchen also offered homemade delicacies, such as bureki and dolma. At the end of the meal, the hosts always give a compliment - raki with sweets. The owners are great hosts; very friendly and attentive. The food was very good with a wide choice, beautifully cooked. The hotel has a relaxed atmosphere with balconies and air conditioning for each room. The beach is right below the hotel. The terrace is a great place to sit with a coffee or whatever you fancy. We would (and will) stay here again. I booked Sweet Corner because of the great reviews and location - met our expectations.

There was nothing to dislike.

I stayed here with my son after walking down the Samaria gorge from Omalos and before walking on along the E4 path. The place is a few hundred metres west of the town. As others have mentioned you're away from the gorge crowds (which actually disappear when the boat goes, making Agia Roumelli a very quiet, pleasant little town). We only stayed one night, although I wish we'd stayed longer. The staff were very friendly, the food good. We got a triple room which was very generously proportioned and had cooking facilities. There's a beach very close by. If I ever become fugitive from justice, this might be where you'll find me.
