The hotel is in an amazing location, looking across the quaint village of Sfakia and out to sea. Breakfast was generous and delicious, including fresh juice, scrambled eggs and many Cretan specialties. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a huge balcony and plenty of storage.

The bathroom had a typical Greek shower - at least it had a curtain to keep the floor mostly dry, but shower doors would be better, and a hook to hang the shower head on. A small lamp in the living room would be nice for in the evening. The place could use a little more parking - most of the time we had to park on the street.

Very quiet, clean and well-maintained. We visited in the offseason and had the place almost to ourselves. Gorgeous view overlooking the town and the sea. The town was utterly charming and even the downside (the walk down to the town for every meal) made for an interesting experience. The pool was very clean but cold! Easy free parking.

As it was the offseason there were no services. We were stumped at checkin as you had to call a number to summon a staff member, but our international phone plans are data only, so we had to flag down a handyman to make the call for us. No breakfast was offered, no drinks at the pool. I think all this would be better in high season. Be aware that to get to meals and services in town, you have to walk down a very steep path with steps (about a 10 minute walk) down to the town. It’s not suitable for anyone with mobility issues.

We stayed in a spotless and comfortable two-room apartment with a lovely balcony. The hotel is beautifully decorated, and its location is perfect — with private parking and stairs leading directly to the beach, as well as restaurants and shops just a short walk away. The staff were incredibly nice and always ready to help with any question or request. The pool was refreshing and perfect for a relaxing swim. Breakfast was excellent, featuring fresh and tasty local dishes that we truly enjoyed.

The apartments have been newly renovated and are lovely. We had an ocean view apartment that overlooked Sfakia and is within a few minutes walk to restaurants and supermarkets. The view is amazing. The photos have not been updated yet so was a wonderful surprise to walk into fresh new accommodation. Breakfast was also great, fresh and delicious. The lady looking after us was absolutely lovely and we would not hesitate to stay here again, highly recommended.

Nothing at all to dislike

This place grew on us; arriving late at night, it's fair to say we were underwhelmed. 1970's complex that shows its age a bit; fairly spartan rooms. But then you realise you are paying a budget price; everything is clean & works well. The rooms are big. The pool is lovely. Parking is easy. And the vista is great. Katerina on the front desk is lovely & helpful. And the town of Chora Sfakion has a laid back charm (as well as being a terrific access point to gorgeous Loutro, and the magnificent Samaria Gorge).

No pool towels provided. Breakfast a bit limited. Wasps a nuisance, but what do you do?

We have stayed here before and booked the same room with breathtaking views in gorgeous Chora Sfakion. The room had just been refurbished and was clean and tastefully done. The staff are very friendly. It is a small walk to the many tavernas on the port. We love this place.

There were a couple of teething problems due to us being the first guests after the refurbishment. The staff responded well to our needs.

Spacious rooms, ours was very bright and had a nice terrace with a sea view. Breakfast was good, but not the best we've had in Crete. The two girls at the reception were very kind and helpful. Great location, just a short walk from the port where you can find restaurants and bars.

The room's furniture was a bit outdated and in poor condition. The hotel has free parking spaces for guests, but there are only a few, and if they are all taken, parking on the street is not an option.

All the staff were warm and helpful. The Swimming Pool was great and in a beautiful setting. Breakfast was varied and tasty. The rooms were stylish and comfortable, clearly recently refurbished. They also made a real effort when my sunglasses were left at the hotel and made sure they got back to me in a swift time. We would happily stay there again as everything was fabulous.

Absolutely nothing

The hotel was exceptionally clean, new and well renovated, had an amazing view to the sea. Everyone was welcoming and kind. The breakfast itself was quite an experience as well; it included a lot of Cretan specialties. The location was very convenient. I left my car in the hotel parking and then I could walk everywhere in Chora Sfakion in a short distance. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The view of the bay from our room was stunning! The swimming pool is very good selling point particularly for the kids, the little balcony was added confort and functional space. The place is at less than 5minutes walk from a beautiful sandy beach, the village street with restaurants and shops and the small arbour. Perfect place to visit khora sfakion. The staff were friendly and helpful.

No bedside lights in the main bedroom. Breakfast/bar facilities were not yet open as we were early in the season.
