Eveything was perfect, from the location to the cleaness of the room and the kindness of the staff. By far, the best stay in Greece for us, and we have visited Greece more than 20 times, in different places. The view from the room was breathtaking, the evenings were quiet and the spund of waves was simply amazing, the best music ever. The atmosphere in the restaurant was nice and familiar, great food and excellent service. Even if at our arrival we decided to try as many restaurants as possible, we only ate in this restaurant as we really liked it so much! All the people were very nice and friendly, we got a lot of treats on the house. We had a suite for 2 adults and a child of 10, very nice, very clean and spacious. We loved it! We spent here 4 days.

We stayed for two nights in early May. The room was nice, second floor with a balcony overlooking the bay. A great view (your brain will eventually ignore the power line :) ). Really enjoyed sitting on the balcony. Bed was comfy; with the balcony door open you can lie there listening to the waves. Staff are friendly. When we arrived they told us to sit at a table overlooking the water and gave us a drink on the house while they brought us our key. When we left they did the same, giving us a drink on the house. Very central. Note: You have to park in a parking lot and walk your bags to the hotel, not too far. Nice little village to walk around. Spectacular hike nearby along the coast to Sweet Water Beach. The ferry to the bottom of Samaria Gorge takes off from the local port. Room had a fridge.

We stayed in the hotel on route to Chania after hiking along the coastal gorges, staying in Loutro etc. The location is perfect and we liked having a balcony overlooking the port. The room was spacious and comfortable. The staff at check-in and at the restaurant were very helpful

It was lovely having the restaurant at the port with lots of tables with nice views. The food however was not of a great standard and some of it seemed to be left in heated displays for a long time which perhaps somewhat affected the quality of the food.

This hotel is a great option if you plan to stay in Hora Sfakion and use the town as a base. Hora Sfakion is a hub for ferries serving South West Crete, and so you can easily get to all of the popular destinations in this area (e.g. Loutro, Mamara etc) from your doorstep. It's right on the front, so there are lots of options for eating (including the hotel itself of course). There are a couple of supermarkets and an excellent bakery nearby. Staff are friendly, professional and keen to help. Despite being on the front (which was one of the attractions to us) the room was very quiet - just the sound of lapping waves, and the occasional ferry at the nearby new harbour. The room has a small fridge and a kettle. Vrisi beach is a 5 minute walk away - it's pebbly, but a good swimming beach and, as it isn't a destination beach, can actually be quite quiet. If you come by car the hotel will give you a parking permit to display in your car (there is parking on the west side, but we always managed to find parking on the east side when you drive into the town (except for one day).

The room is described as a small suite. The main room was perfectly sized, but the lobby area that provides, I think, additional sleeping space would only really be suitable for children and/or a short stay. There is also a bit of a shortage of storage space - we just left our suitcases open in the 'lobby' area. That said we would happily stay here again.

Our room had a lovely balcony which overlooked the little harbour. Was lovely to sit and watch the boats come and go and sunset. Really close to everything we needed, two supermarkets and bakeries in proximity.

The only downsides were that the room was a little smaller than we expected for the four of us. Very difficult to access the fridge with the additional bed. We had to keep the tiny bathroom door closed as there were frequent odours from the drain.

Most friendly staff ever. We traveled around Crete for 14days and changed hotels every night. By far this was the best welcome! Just like you were meeting up with old friends. The rooms are simple. White with blue shutters. With a view. What else do you need! The restaurant downstairs was great. We were there for the Opening Ceremony of the Olympics. The staff installed a big TV outside so we could enjoy the show during dinner. It was great. The restaurant team was super professional. A big up to the barrister and to the waiter in charge, who spoke French. They made everything possible to make the evening great.

Comfortable rooms with a beautiful view of the sea overlooking the harbour. We felt very lucky to have selected this apartment because it appeared to be the best accomodation option and location, in Sfakia. The resident Labrador named Simba brought a smile to our faces given we have been away for 3 weeks and miss our family pets. Surely there is no better place to stay in Sfakia. The restaurant also has some good options too.

Great location just on the seafront. Clean, bright and well equipped rooms overlooking the bay below where you can watch the world go by. Comfortable beds. Good value. Would recommended for a short stay.

These rooms are part of the restaurant - which offers good value - but means limited interaction with staff and lack of usual hotel amenities. We weren’t told about breakfast.

Perfect location, clean and very pleasantly designed rooms. Great taverna right under the rooms. Beautiful sea view from the room. Sound of the sea coming in from the window. Very friendly staff. Welcome and takeaway drinks. Comfortable bed, great shower. Wonderful breakfast.

Quite a few steps up to the rooms, some without a handrail. Just something to know in advance.

We truly enjoyed the refreshing Cretan hospitality offered during our stay at this lovely hotel. The hotel is located in the small port village of Hora Sfakion (on the southern coast of Crete, west of Plakias), that we reached by flying in to Chania and driving a rental car through 2 hours of winding countryside. The hotel is perfect for sunny and stress-free relaxation, hiking, exploring the coast, and swimming in the nearby beach below Zoe's Taverna or one of the other beaches reached via water taxi. The hotel offers dedicated parking which is free to hotel guests. The hotel was recently renovated and has its own terrace restaurant and outdoor seating areas. The room was comfortable, spacious, light, airy and spotlessly clean, with excellent A/C, and beautiful views of the sea from our room's balcony. The beds, comforters and pillows were the most comfortable we'd experienced in a long time; the bathrooms were modern and efficient with great water pressure and good-sized walk-in showers. The local and international staff are very friendly, hospitable and helpful, chatting with us in excellent english. We ate in their restaurant several times and the local Sfakian and traditional Cretan dishes were delicious. Shout-out to Momma for her amazing desserts!
