We absolutely loved our stay at Storyteller in Kalabaka. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional – the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and it was such a thoughtful touch that the air conditioning was turned on for us before we arrived – a real blessing after a long day of travel! The attention to detail throughout the hotel was impressive. Its location is also perfect – central to everything we needed and ideal for exploring Meteora. And the breakfast? Simply amazing – fresh, delicious, and the perfect start to our day. Highly recommend this little gem!

Honestly, we couldn't fault a thing. Everything was excellent from start to finish.

Oh my goodness, where do I begin! Such a lovely hotel and wonderful staff. They kept us informed about what was nearby to see, such as the library and the 3D movie within walking distance. The room was much bigger than we expected; bigger than most rooms I've encountered in Europe. I might even say that it was bigger than a typical American hotel room. It was clean and comfortable and beautifully decorated. We were happy just to be in that room, let alone see the Monasteries nearby. We enjoyed our balcony as well. There were many restaurants nearby. Virtually everyone that we encountered in the town spoke English which makes things easier for us, thank goodness. I have a photo of the beautiful staircase but they do have an elevator as well. We were so happy with choosing The Storyteller and plan to recommend it to others who want to visit the Monasteries.

I can't think of anything that could have been better. If anyone buys the property across the street, they could possibly spruce that up a bit. But that isn't any reflection on The Storyteller.

Where to begin - we cannot recommend the Storyteller Boutique House enough. It's been recently renovated and you can tell no expense has been spared. Extremely spacious rooms and bathrooms. Heated towel rails. Walk in shower with rain and detachable showerheads. Air cons installed in bulkheads with sleek linear grills rather than big split systems on the wall. Robes and proper slippers, not paper versions, in each room. Proper quality beds, mattresses and linen. Double glazed windows. Balconies with views of the main streets and mountains above. Convenient location close to the main street, the walking trail up to Meteora, with its own private parking lot 200m from the boutique hotel. I could go on and on. Breakfast is an included option if you wish and the food is fantastic - the hotel owners also own a bakery nearby so the food quality is exceptional. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. They were excited to help when trying to work out where to eat, parking our car or to arrange taxis, tour buses or direct us to the walking trails in order to get to the Monasteries. All the staff were fantastic but we mostly interacted with Nikos, who is extremely professional and knowledgeable in his job and couldn't be more highly recommended.

Not a single thing.

Right from check-in, Nikos was most courteous, charismatic & helpful. It made checking in very easy and welcoming especially with him aiding the delivery with our bags up to our room and to give us a quick run down. The room big, airy, with plenty of natural light & just perfect with its layout and amenities. This modern establishment has amazing features, is perfectly located just metres away from the central fountain of the town, is small with only 5 guest rooms, yet has buckets of charm & charisma. Breakfast in the morning was plentiful, fresh and well organised. Again served by Nikos, and the owner Yanos. These two men have created & returned hospitality back into a true art form. This is the best place to stay in Kalabaka. We just wished we were here for longer.

The room exceeded all expectations: exquisite style and impeccable execution of the design concept, everything is new, clean and functional. The balcony with a view of the picturesque street of the city and the majestic Meteora adds a special charm. Breakfast was also served with impeccable taste and care. Since the hotel has its own parking, we did not have to worry about where to park the car. Staying at this hotel enhanced our impressions of visiting Meteora. We appreciated the high level of service, style and comfort! Thank you!

Beautifully designed room with comfortable balcony. Lovely staff, extremely friendly and helpful. Very central position. Some on-street parking but we used their private secure parking which is a couple of minutes’ walk away. Great good value breakfast which (unusually for us) we had in our room. The path up to Agia Triada is about 10 minutes away then it’s 35-40 minutes up the path to the monastery which we loved. We later took a €35 euro bus tour from the office just up at the roundabout which lasted about 4 hours and was great value. Storyteller Boutique was a wonderful base for our visit to Meteora.

Everything was perfect. The interior design of the hotel was tastefully done up. Every fixtures’ quality and detail is so fine and beautiful. Bed is very comfortable. It’s centrally located, with restaurants and supermarkets within minutes. TV have Netflix and Prime Plus. Breakfast was served in room, it was the most luxurious breakfast we have had so far in Greece, a super generous and delicious spread. The fragrance of the bread toasts were wafting into our room in the early morning. There’s a private parking for the hotel that’s about 5 minutes’ walk away. The hotel staff will orientate you to it. Wished i could stay for another night! Highly recommend!

Nil, every thing was perfect.

The hotel is only 2 years old is a boutique hotel that only has 5 rooms and a suite on the top floor. The attention to detail is incredible for a hotel of this size. The rooms are well-appointed with modern devour but suitable for this area. The rooms are large and all have balconies with a little table to have coffee in the morning. The service is comparable to a 5-star hotel from the time you check in till you check out you are well taken care of by the staff. They offer breakfast ala carte if you wish to have it is paid separately. The breakfast menu is very well thought out, the offer different kinds of coffee's, tea and fresh fruit juices. The yogourt is amazing my favorite! The staff guided us to wonderful restaurants that were located withing walking distance and the food was excellent. We will definitely be back.

We loved everything about the Storyteller! The hotel’s design is very elegant and charming. The room was big, clean, comfortable and had views to the mountains. The bathroom was also very good and spacious! The staff was very attentive and made sure our night there was perfect. Also, the breakfast was delicious and was served in our balcony. We hope to come back one day to spend more time in Meteora! The place is fabulous.
