I was kind of wary after reading the reviews but on the whole, the hotel is quite nice. Super friendly staff at the reception desk (a special thank you to Penelope) and in the restaurant during the breakfast.

The hotel offers room service but there is no menu (at least, not in our room) from which to choose. Would be nice to have an information booklet in the room, showing the working hours for the spa and the roof terrace restaurant, as well as the menu for the room service.

The personnel was very polite and helpful. Generally, good value for money Hotel, covering all basic needs. Nice view, location and decent breakfast.

The gym doesn't meet the minimum expected standards. Operates for very short time (12.00-20.30), one (out of two) treadmills was not repaired since my previous visit (6m ago), and the A/C was not really cooling the space. All in all, unless these points are fixed soon (I doubt it; I saw them also several months ago, which indicates abandonement of the area) the hotel cannot really claim having a truely functional gym.

Only negative thing was spa for us . First I don’t think there should be extra charge for guest with what is offered. Spa needs renovation, starting from swimming pool ( which was freezing btw) also jacuzzi , that one definitely doesn’t look like it should be used in hotels ( hygiene ) . Also sauna was not working at all , staff member told us that it works perfectly fine and that is dry sauna that goes only up to 50 C ! Which is completely wrong . After all we only had one deep in freezing pool as we couldn’t use anything else .

A true 4star hotel, the view, breakfast, espresso machine in room with capsules, mini bar.

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a great experience! The spacious, clean, and comfortable room exceeded my expectations, complete with plush beds and effective air conditioning. The staff were warm and welcoming, always happy to attend to any requests or needs. The real standout for me was the rooftop restaurant - it's a must-visit during your stay! The breathtaking views and delectable cuisine made for an unforgettable experience. In terms of location, Egnatia City Hotel is ideally situated near the city center and beach, making it effortless to explore the local attractions and amenities.

My only minor quibble would be the shower facilities. While visually appealing, I found the space to be slightly cramped, and the showerhead felt a bit oversized for the area. Additionally, despite being careful, water would occasionally seep onto the floor from the tub, even though the tub door was fully shut, requiring some extra attention to keep the bathroom tidy.

The location of the hotel is great, on the top of the mountain with beautiful view at the sea , we booked room with sea view, the room is spacious and clean , with cozy balcony . the entire hotel team is ready to help, friendly , my husband and I celebrate our birthdays there, so we got so much attention from everyone , Breakfast was very good, all food was fresh and delicious, we also went to dinner, food and crevice was great . I have been getting massages in spa , young lady Elpida is very skilful, so I had great experience with massage therapy, thanks Elpida . Thanks for all team for looking at us and help us celebrate our special 3 days in Kavala Egnatia hotel:))

Amasing hotel location. You can see all Kavala from the balcony from 3th floor. The room was big enough. The receptionists were really friendly. We went to the city center by bus No. 11. Schedule you can find on internet, about half an hour every day. The bus station is 50 m from the hotel.

In august the hotel was a little bit crowdy, because of that at the moment it's running out some food: tomatoes, salami, cheese, fruits. One day I must waiting a while for those foods that cook bring it again.

Staying at the Egnatia Hotel in Greece was a delightful experience. The hotel itself was quite nice, offering a warm and welcoming atmosphere from the moment I stepped in. The rooms were impressively spacy, giving me plenty of room to relax and enjoy my stay. Each morning, I was greeted with a great breakfast that had a variety of options to start my day right. An added convenience was the included parking, which took away the hassle of finding a spot for my rental car. As I walked through the halls, I couldn't help but admire the nice pictures that adorned the floors, adding a touch of elegance to the space. The furniture throughout the hotel boasted real wood craftsmanship that exuded quality and comfort. Lastly, the room service was top-notch; prompt and courteous, making sure all my needs were met with great care.

Everything was very good,I had a very comfortable stay.The room was great and clean, the bed very comfy, breakfast was very good with options and reception very helpful and professional.I will visit again in the future.Totally recommended.

The only thing that was off to me was the lack of air conditioning in the gym.

Great views of the city and sea. Excellent breakfast and evening bar. Cab to and from the old town was good value at 5 euros [the hotel is on top of a steep hill]. Easy access to the motorway and archaeological sites at Philippi and Amphopolis.

Parking can be limited when busy.
