Staff is polite. The parking lot provides more than enough space and is secure. The water pool is clean. The beach was clean and has nice rock formation. Place is ideal for people appreciating a relax atmosphere and prefer to walk a while. I enjoyed the evening walks worth the sea breeze. The hotel it is maintained recently, and owners try to give to the rooms character. However, the technical staff did a somewhat sloppy job. My feeling is the owners will fix these.

My advice is avoid the ground floor rooms! All the negatives aspects of my experience derive from the fact I stayed in one of these rooms (101-103). Actually, it is not ground for, rather it is half basement. Air does not circulate properly and are spots with bad smell. Think of something like deodorant combined worth mold. Upper floors obviously will not face the same problem. Mattresses are a bit firm and not really comfortable.

What an absolute jem of a place. Eva and Katrina were amazing - went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed every moment of our holiday. They were so friendly, booked us car hire cheaper than we had found it, the pool bar was well priced and the food was delicious. They both gave us recommendations on local restaurants and bars to try local Greek food. The hotel was amazing, located right on the sea front with amazing views across the sea. The rooms were very well decorated with fantastic sea views. The air conditioning was the best I’ve ever had in a hotel and even had to turn it off as it worked so well. The hotel is very well kept, clean and very well maintained. We had a wonderful stay here and we can’t wait to come back again!

WiFi kept disconnecting, a bit frustrating Shower water temperature could use more range – couldn’t get it really hot or cold A bit far from the centre, but that also meant it was super calm and peaceful

This family run accommodation was set in a wonderfully peaceful part on the outskirts of Malia, located on an amazing beach and walking distance to some fabulous local restaurants and traditional tavernas. The hosts and owners Katerina and Eva were amazing ladies and looked after all the guests brilliantly, from preparing delicious delights at the poolside to engaging in wonderful conversation and always cheerful and smiling - a pleasure to see them everyday!!🥰❤

It's just a few steps away from the beach, it always had free sunbeds around the pool, it's away from the crowdy city, the rooms get cleaned regularly, the owners don't bother the guests with anything and are always helpful, I have no complaints, highly recommended!!!

WiFi is not the strongest in all parts of the place. There's a club on the parallel street which can be loud sometimes - this is not SilverSun's fault, it's just good to know :)

Six stars! Silver sun checks all the boxes and more: family run and always available to help, quiet clean apartments, beautiful grounds, a large pool with a poolside bar offering food and to top it off an almost private beach. Hint: save yourself the hassle of driving and parking in Malia; leave your car at silver sun and take a taxi into town. There are also two very good tavernas within walking distance along the beach, one to the west alongside Malia Port and the other to east before Potamos beach.

This place is a bit far from the centre of Malia, but it's in a very calm spot with barely any people on the beach. They have a nice pool with plenty of chairs and parasols, a restaurant kiosk and a few tables for a snack. The staff is delightful, they are always ready to help, very prompt and very friendly. There's wifi everywhere, ample parking space, aircon in the rooms, a balcony, a rack for our clothes, a small kitchen with cleaning tools and plenty of power outlets. The beach is rocky, but a less rocky area is a stone's throw away from there. It was my favourite spot in Malia.

The bed is not very comfy and my wife and I prefer double beds and ended up with twins. The shower has no barrier and the whole bathroom gets wet. There's no hair drier.

The location is absolutely amazing! The hotel swimming pool, sun beds and bar are really welcoming and not too crowded. The beach is also great, as there aren't many people. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The views are spectacular, both at the sea and the mountains. The area is quiet and perfect for relaxation. There are shops and restaurants nearby.

Kitchen appliances in the room could've been better, but they are enough for basic meal preparation. There aren't door locks in bathrooms.

Utterly beautiful, peaceful and blissful location away from the mass tourism of nearby Malia. The hotel is owned by a lovely local family who are so very helpful and kind which really made our stay even better. The apartment had everything we needed and our balcony had a view of the sea and the mountains to the rear. Watching the sun go down of an evening and the local boats come into port will be a treasured memory. I loved the Greek salad and the special omelettes are loaded with vegetables and bacon and cheese. Great when you are gluten free! Thank you Silver Sun for giving us a wonderful holiday on your beautiful island. We shall absolutely return…

Absolutely nothing!! It was fabulous!

The location is fantastic right on a quiet beach. The two ladies that run it are so friendly and helpful. 20 min walk in to town to party but nice and quiet when you get back and want to sleep. Everything is clean and the food at the pool bar is very good
