The room was very clean, the facilities were comfortable, and the breakfast was more than sufficient. But what really stood out was the location — it was absolutely perfect

The only aspect that could be improved is the check-in and check-out times. Since the hotel is located on an island with limited flight options, this can sometimes be challenging for guests. In particular, many travelers arrive from Istanbul, where there is only one flight at a fixed time. For this reason, it would be very helpful if the hotel could consider adjusting its check-in and check-out policy in line with the flight schedules.

Good overall, but staff could be more welcoming. The hotel is in a great location and the rooms are decent — clean and functional. At check-in, I was given a different room than the one I had booked, but once I pointed it out, they were quick to fix the issue and moved me to the correct one, which I appreciated.

The only downsides were the staff — generally not very friendly or welcoming, except for the tall guy at reception, who was polite and professional — and the breakfast, which was really disappointing. There wasn’t much variety, no fresh fruit, and if you came down around 10:00 AM, there was barely anything left to eat. Definitely not up to the level expected from a hotel in this category.

Despotiko hotel was a perfect stay and addition to the overall experience of our first visit to Mykonos. The location is perfect, in the close proximity of the main pedestrian streets that starts at Fabrica square where the main bus terminal is. Hotel is nicely and stylishly decorated in authentic old building style, with a modern touch. It has an exception stuff that made our stay pleasant and like at home. We have enjoyed the breakfast area in a authentic design salon with porcelan set. It was good value for the money as we had unique experience of having breakfast in the stylish space. There is a wonderful garden with a pool where we enjoyed quiet mornings. Rooms were wonderfully decorated, with every detail carefully chosen. We had a wonderful view to the sea and the city. Summary: great design, perfect location, wonderful stuff and great value for the money. We will definitely come back.

The location is excellent—just a 5-minute walk from the center of Mykonos. You can get there on foot, although you have to climb a fairly steep hill. The hotel has a great atmosphere, with rooms decorated in a colonial style. The staff at the reception is very helpful. Breakfast was basically the same everyday but was decent.

What really irritated me was the fact that the cleaning staff left their things (bags with towels, sheets, and cleaning equipment) in the hallway—literally every day you had to walk past these bags on your way. This absolutely shouldn’t happen in a 4-star hotel. The downside is the very small bathroom—it’s hard to get organized in there. Sometimes Wi-fi was very slow.

The rooms were nice and very clean, the bed and pillows were very comfortable, it's very nearby the center, quiet place to sleep, breakfast was good. Everything was perfect. But the best was the hotel staff. My wife fell and hurt her feet very bad. They were very helpful and caring. They helped to get a taxi to the hospital and even picked us up back to the hotel, when I could not get a taxi in time. I would like to thank you again for everything you did and all the care you had. Thanks to you we had a lovely stay in Mykonos. We would stay again in your hotel if we come back to Mykonos!

Nothing, everything was good.

I loved how the rooms were so clean & fresh, they were cleaned daily with fresh towels etc. It’s really close to Mykonos Down Town so if you don’t want to spend a fortune on taxis you can pretty much walk to majority of bars, restaurants, clubs, shops etc. The swimming pool was well kept, the staff were extremely friendly, they couldn’t do more for you! I really could not fault this hotel!

The hotel is slightly on a hill which we didn’t mind but walking back up it could be a little bit tough for elderly people / people who struggle with walking. Aside from breakfast I think they should have options for snacks on site. There is shops a 5/10 minute walk away but if your hungry and want something quick like a toast or, crisps, they don’t have anything there unfortunately. The hotel was a bit spenny when we booked so I think breakfast should be included in the price but if not, it was €15 per day.

The hotel was very cosy and comfortable, the room was tidied up daily and the bathroom was cleaned. It is 15-20 minute walk to center of old town, close to markets and restaurants. It was close to fabrika bus station (5 min by walk) and just opposite of 2 different car rental companies (Auto Power and München) which is very convenient if you rent your vehicle from one of these companies. The breakfast looked like a full open buffet, we didn't bought breakfast though, preferred to eat in old town. The staff was very kind, they offered water to drink upon arrival and helpful to select beaches.

There is no wheelchair access or a slope so you need to carry your luggage for a few steps. The hotel staff will help you if you ask.

This hotel is an abolute gem....on the outskirts of the town, easily walkable. This is an oasis of calm and beauty..... The staff were very friendly and helpful, booking cars for the airport!..... Breakfast was the best of our 9 day trip across the islands..... The pool and all amenities are first class.... An excellent hotel!....

Be careful on the roads....heading to and from town!.....

Amazing decor and wonderfully attentive staff. The pool area and gardens are so well kept and comfortable. Don’t let the fact the property is by a road into the centre of Mykonos Town put you off. The traffic is a murmur from the pool and from your room cannot be heard. The location is brilliant as the Fabrika bus station ( airport links and port links) is 4/5min walk down the hill and then you’re in centre of Mykonos town! The bathroom and walk in shower was brilliant and the balcony views of the sunset are amazing.

For what you are paying to be so close to Mykonos and have all the modern touches mixed with amazing traditional , quirky common spaces , location and quality of the pool area , and wonderful staff- there isn’t anything I didn’t like or could find fault with.

I stayed at Despotiko Hotel with friends for a girls’ trip from July 18th to July 21st, and we had an amazing experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, always ready to assist with a smile. The hotel was exceptionally clean, which we greatly appreciated. Its location was perfect, providing easy access to the main attractions in Mykonos City. We were also treated to a stunning view from our room. The pool area was lovely, offering a nice spot to relax and unwind. Overall, it was a fantastic value for money.

There was nothing we didn’t like about our stay. Everything met or exceeded our expectations.
