Our room was lovely, it was set up to a very high standard. The staff were wonderful, so friendly and helpful. The breakfast offering was very good

The restaurant and bar were closed which was disappointing however it was early season and the hotel had low occupancy so these facilities may open in due course

We absolutely loved our stay at the Sun and Sea Plus resort. The one bedroom apartment, although not having direct access to a pool like some of the apartments, had fantastic views over the sea. We were able to use the communal pools which were only a few meters from the room. Just sitting on the balcony watching and listening to the swallows and swifts was so relaxing. The air-conditioned rooms were a good size and there were dressing gowns and slippers provided. There was a small but adeqaute supermarket in the centre of Plaka, a couple of hundred meters from the complex. The staff were very friendly. We didn't have a hire car so we walked back and forth from the Sun and Sea into Almyrida. The nearest beach in Almyrida was about 1km.

The wi-fi was dreadful. It was constantly disconnecting and if we were connected the signal was very weak. Also, it would have been really helpful to have had a microwave in the room. The peace was disturbed now and again by the F16's of the Souda Air Force Base 115 combat wing taking off from Chania airport. Also the main road to Almyrida runs next to the complex and lorries, in particular, going up the hill could be quite noisy.

The staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful, particularly Xanthe and Anastasia on the reception desk and Stelios in the breakfast room where we had an excellent choice of breakfast every morning. Our Executive room was bright, modern and spacious and had a nice terrace with a view over the sea. It was kept very clean and tidy by Kristina and Alla who came in every day and were always smiling and cheerful. The hotel is very close to the centre of Plaka where there are very good restaurants and bars. It is a short walk down the hill to Almyrida where there is a good beach and further restaurants, bars and shops.

We have no complaints.

The room is very spacious with all the furniture you would need and a kitchenette that did the job. The pool is pretty cool and the view from the small terrace is lovely. The complementary bottle of wine when we arrived was a nice touch. Xanthi at reception was naturally friendly and incredibly helpful, from providing a great list of sight seeing suggestions to ordering food delivery for us. Stelios, at breakfast, made us feel at home with his great sense of humour and impeccable serving skills. The breakfast itself was very good with a good selection. The hotel was really quiet (but we were at the very end of the season so it might not be true when in full season)

The mattress was too hard for me. Only a handful restaurants nearby so if you want a bit of variety, you need to drive to the nearby towns. A couple of other very minor things: - No lift to the bottom floor where our studio was so had to carry the luggage (although they did offer to help). - The lights stay on (seemingly) all night on the terrace and swimming pool area. A switch or an earlier timer would be great.

Nice and calm resort a bit isolated from the turists and loudness but still just a few steps from the restaurants and a few minutes walk from the beach area. The room was clean and comfy (special thanks to the blonde, short haired cleaning lady). The breakfast is tasty and has a large variety to choose from, Stelios made sure we felt welcome every morning, with his friendliness and professionalism. - there is a private parking lot in front of the building with camera surveillance

Sadly the restaurant of the place is not open anymore, but there are other restaurants very close. - the AC is sometimes loud, even if it's turned off - could maybe change the light bulbs to a more cozy yellow one

Fantastic rooms with private access to a 30-meter long pool (Superior Studio). Cristal clear water. Very exclusive atmosphere. Other rooms have direct access to other pools but a bit less private. Five pools in total. Nice sea views although quite partial. Well located 50-meter away from a small square where you find a Mini-Market and 3 nice restaurants, one of them having live Greek dances on Thursday evening.

Breakfast is not on par with the perfection of the rooms. Seasonal vegetables are not fresh, shrunken and dry from the day before. Same with fruit salad, with signs of oxydation. The orange juice is not fresh either , reconstituted from extracts, not tasty. Coffee is poor as well, no doubt from an automated machine. The Dakos are not crispy but soaked with the tomato juice from the day before as well. They would be perfect if done at breakfast time. At least you can trust the Strapatsada which is excellent!!

Fantastic clean large room with great facilities and spotlessly clean bed linen and towels. The bed and pillows were so so comfortable we slept really well. Great balcony and view. I would highly recommend this hotel and would stay again. I was sorry that we were only staying one night to break our journey.

Breakfast was slow and then when the food came it was cold. It was obviously forgotten and was quickly replaced. The breakfast choice was excellent though and all the food was good.

This is an amazing place. The staff is super nice and supportive, the rooms are big and very comfortable, the pools are absolutely fantastic! There are four restaurants nearby - two of them are pretty decent, two others are OKish. There is a small supermarket just a few minutes away (yes, rooms have kitchenette so you could prepare some food if you like). I was thinking about rating my stay very low just to keep the place for myself 😈 The truth is that we have the most relaxing holidays for a long long time.

There is nothing to criticize, but it's good to have a car to really enjoy your stay. You can survive without, but it's much better to be able to drive - best beaches are 15/20 minutes drive from the hotel.

Truly exceptional and kind staff, we arrive early morning so our room wasnt ready. The receptionist offer us the other, bigger room! Thank you! They also book for us transfer from the airport. Really nice pool and view from the hotel, sunbeds and umbrellas available by the pool. Coffe machine in room (attention, you should buy the capsules on reception because the nearest grocery do not offer the special ones. Air condition in every room, quiet and clean rooms. Grocery is really close about 4 minutes by walk.

Rooms with private entrance to pool have shadow on terrace in the afternoon, expensive restaurant. It´s not so close to the beach. The Almyrida beach is about 10-15 minutes by walk uphill so I think It´s not suitable for old people and small childrens.

Very private, tranquil and comfortable hotel, very clean rooms and swimming pool! Special great appreciation for the kitchen facilities - simple, exactly what is needed, very good quality and well thought through. Anastasia, Hotel Manager (and all the staff) is very friendly and customer oriented. All our wishes were fulfilled easy and with the smile. This is our second time in this beautiful hotel and we will come again for sure!
