We had a lovely 4 day stay at the beautiful Terra Minoika Boutique resort. The houses, surrounding area and garden are beautifully constructed and handmade by the owners. You can tell every single spot has been made with love and appreciation for the land and the Crete tradition. The breakfast is wonderful and the view from the terrace is breathtaking. the Kato Zarko lagoon is just a 3 minutes walk down the hill, the waters are crystal clear, we spent hours swimming and sunbathing on the quiet beach. the owners were always lovely and had a lot of great recommendations. on a scale of 1 to 10, Terra Minoika is a 12!

Beautiful location and views, comfortable and clean accommodations with loads of character. Extraordinarily well equipped kitchen. We had a ground level apartment and deluxe sea view suite. With the extreme winds while we were there, the ground level outdoor space was far more comfortable for dining so we were lucky to have that option.

Unfortunately the pressure for hot water in the shower was very poor in the deluxe suite. We tried to explain this to Stratis (little bit of a language barrier) and he said someone would check it, but sadly we never had a hot shower during our 4 night stay. In order to get any water pressure, the temperature was barely warm.

Lots of space, beautifully located just a short walk from local tavernas and amazing walks. It fits in well with the local landscape and the whole site and gardens are lovely.

It felt quite dark - lots of dark wood but recognise that’s the style. The breakfast situation is a bit awkward - loading up a tray and taking it back to your property to make your own hot drink wouldn’t have been our choice. Either properly do breakfast or just stick to self catering. No obvious presence of anyone to welcome/give a real connection to the place. We came and we went. On the last day, I struck up a lovely conversation about the beautiful orange cake that one of the staff had made but it would have been nice to have more opportunities to connect with the place earlier. No way to engage …get recommendations for walks, restaurants - it was all very self-service in spirit.

Terra Minoica is an extraordinary place where everything is done for the pleasure and comfort of visitors. Very nice apartment with sea view furnished with care and perfectly equipped. The garden around is wonderful and each apartment has its own little outdoor garden furniture. The cleanliness of our apartment was absolutely impeccable thanks to the cleaning lady. It is a moment of great privilege to have been here for a few days. We will come back for sure! Special mention for the welcome on arrival and throughout the stay by Stratis, a lovely and professional young man. Strengths of the place: EVERYTHING! Weak point: NONE!

In general absolutely fabulous stay of 3 nights. The hosts/owners really give you a warm welcome, good tips for restaurants, walks, ready to help with any problem. The houses are really great (as on the pictures) and in walking distance (10 min) from the beach and restaurants.

If you can have a room upstairs to have the sea view instead of ground floor, will be much better. The rooms are not spacious at all, the just surface for each thing. Pillows are not good at all (cheap pillows for sofa than to sleep: too big, too thick for the neck)

ALL: from the stunning location to hospitality, breakfast, staff… Ilias, his son Stratis and the wonderful lady team are there to guarantee a fab stay, accurate in all its aspects. And the cozy little houses are simply wonderful!

My wife and I travel quite a lot around the world. We state with full conviction that Terra Minoika is one of the most beautiful places we’ve been to. Stella and her husband are wonderful hosts. They have created this place with love and passion. You can feel it everywhere; even in the smallest detail. Evenings on the terrace and breakfasts eaten in lovely arbors in the garden with marvelous view of the see and Kato Zakros valley will stay in our memory forever. The world is huge and we try not to go back to places we’ve been to. But Terra Minoika charmed us so “you never know…”

In one word, GREAT!

The fantastic isolated location is away from crowds and touristic-commercialized business. It's run by a family, a father and his son, who are most hospitable and generous. I will return to this gem.

Very peaceful beautiful location. The accommodation is spacious and clean and the breakfast was excellent. An interesting and wonderfully quiet area with lovely beaches.
