Breakfast was good and they served it from 7-10 am which was good. Nice setting for breakfast in the lovely garden court yard. It was great to have a lift for our bags. A nice large balcony overlooking the garden courtyard. Having a fridge was good.

I feel the linen on bed was a little thin and there was no mattress protector. The heat pump was rather old and we couldn’t see what the temperature was. It seemed to turn itself off as soon as we opened the balcony door.

Flisvos is located right above the beach: water, breakwater, restaurant outdoor seating, pedestrian promenade with really appealing mosaics and statuary, then the hotel with clean, newly refurbished rooms. Breakfast is in the lobby with plenty of seating in a very clean, comfortable, well-lit space. For me, the best thing about this hotel is its resilience: Sitia was hit by a huge storm six months before our visit, and the storm surge engulfed Flisvos under two meters of water. The whole town's recovery has been remarkable. Now it's a renewed, laid-back, expansive space that's easy to relax in. If your goal is a more relaxed vibe than Heraklion, Rethymno, or Chania, Flisvos and Sitia are a great choice.

The only thing that's slightly noticeable about Flisvos and Sitia was that we stayed there after the big storm but before the tourist season. There was an air of uncertainty: Will tourists come back?

The breakfast it was very good. Also, the location of the hotel it was good, near to the beach and the cafe,bars,restaurants.

Good quality hotel and a good breakfast (continental) Quiet location right on the seafront and not too far from Ferry terminal. Good access at rear with parking on site
