We were delighted to stay at this wonderful hotel and are already planning when we can return. We were greeted by the hotel owner, Matthias, who is a very polite and friendly person. He provided us with valuable recommendations for local attractions and shared the history of Santorini. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, with daily housekeeping. Opening the window revealed a breathtaking view of the sea and white ships. Waking up in the morning and opening the shutters to this scenery was soul-healing, truly a therapeutic experience. The breakfast was delicious. In the evenings, we would choose our breakfast options, and everything would be ready at the designated time. We requested almond milk for our coffee instead of regular milk, and it was provided without any issues. An added bonus was the refrigerator in the room. We would buy wine and snacks and keep them for the evening. We spent truly magical nights on our terrace, listening to the waves below the hotel, gazing at the bright stars in the sky, and enjoying a glass of chilled wine. The location is perfect if you want to relax, get a good night's sleep, and meditate. The hotel is situated in a secluded area, in the part of the island that still maintains the authentic atmosphere of a Greek fishing village. For dinner, you can visit a tavern just 100 meters from the hotel. If you need to travel somewhere using public transportation, there is a bus stop right by the hotel, and there is also parking available for cars. If you walk about 1 kilometer to the town, you will pass by local vineyards in the form of baskets on the ground. In the town itself, you will find shops, cafes, a pharmacy, and a gallery with reasonably priced souvenirs. Many thanks to Matthias and the entire hotel staff for a wonderful vacation! We will definitely come back again.

Great hotel with friendly staff, fantastic location right on the sea front with beautiful views. Terraces with comfy sun beds right outside the rooms. A variety & good quality food for breakfast ( included in price), (served with a smile by Niki) Bus stop directly outside hotel with regular bus service to other parts of the island. Hotel owner very helpful in recommending and organising trips on the island. Hotel restaurant has a terrace with fantastic views day and night.Informal and friendly atmosphere. All in all, a great experience. I definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for somewhere away from the bigger towns. It is so easy to visit places by bus, then return to the tranquility of the hotel.

The location is awesome, right by the water Breakfast tasty and plentiful Lovely bar area, very chilled, great place to grab a bite, an ice cream, coffee or a cocktail and simply chill Local public bus stop on the doorstep, super easy access to other parts of the island Staff was very nice, friendly and helpful, helped with renting a motorbike and arrange a catamaran trip Room was super clean, with a nice outdoor patio There is a tiny private beach as well right by the hotel Akrotiri town is lovely

Our stay in hotel Akrotiri was amazing. We were stunned how nice and welcoming all of the staff members were. The hotel has this small, almost familiar feel to it. Big plus were the free sunbeds which really added to the comfort on the beach. The beach by the hotel was super cozy, with not many people and it was stunning walking along it. There are small and big rocks there however and we also saw a couple of sea urchins so water shoes were essential, but luckily we came prepared. Breakfast was tasty, and there are several restaurants and shops nearby with are all amazing. We also had a car which was really convenient and while visiting Fira and Oia we really appreciated staying on the further quieter side of the island, away from all the crowds.

Everything was perfect and exceeded our expectations.

The staff was really helpful and friendly at all times. We arrived at 1 a.m and even though the reception closes at 10 p.m., a late check-in was possible. Additionally the location of the hotel was perfect for what we wanted! In Akrotiri, it is really quiet and peacful and there were not at all as many tourist as one would expect of Santorini. There is also a restaurant at the hotel and bus station is right at the hotel.

My only complaint is that the hotel is a bit far away from Oia, but everything else is perfect, especially the service!

Akrotiri Hotel is an amazing place to stay! I felt like we were in paradise, so beautiful, so clean, everyone from the staff was so kind, nice and always helpful! I just can’t explain how wonderful experience it is to stay at Akrotiri Hotel. The breakfast was wonderful and very delicious, the room is spacious, clean and has everything you need (even more). The balcony has amazing view, and the spaces between the rooms are so well decorated, so beautiful with flowers and other plants. The Akrotiri area has some really good places to visit - the archeological site, red, black and white beach, Akrotiri village, etc. you can easily visit Fira by the bus which stop is just in front of the hotel. Overall - it was an amazing experience and I would like to thank to Akrotiri Hotel’s wonderful staff for this!

Akrotiri hotel was amazing in all the ways. The staff was incredible kind and welcoming. Yosif in the restaurant, Anna-Maria in reception and all the cleaning/breakfast personal has been everything that you can hope for! Giving us anything we need and many tips about the island of Santorini. The ocean view from our room was breath taking and the room was always clean & cozy! The breakfast was good where you choose from a list the day before - we were always satisfied. The restaurant is welcoming and has great food and coffee. The location is perfect if you want to take the boat to some of the beaches, walk to red beach or take the 2€ bus. There is also scooters and quad bikes you can rent. We loved Akrotiri hotel and will definitely stay here again if we visit Santorini again! THANK U!

Location amazing! Rooms lovely.. staff very friendly, hard working and always on hand. My room was fantastic, overlooked the sea (all rooms do) and loved listening to the sea rolling in every evening. Restaurant and bar great also, with exceptional views. Really easy to get around the island with the bus service! Also loved the fact that you chose your breakfast and it was brought to you (not a traditional Buffet style!).

The bed! It was soooo hard! I noticed a few other reviews have mentioned this as well. Whilst I understand this is a personal preference they were VERY hard. I did request a mattress topper though and was provided the only one they have which was great.

Liked the location, quiet and peaceful. Mathias host great welcome and approachable , advice on island, etc and Anna Maria very helpful with arranging taxi pick up and drop off. Great breakfast and view. Wonderful staff. Facilities excellent.

Cost of taxi to get there and away, as local bus times did not match arriving and departing. 2 buses to get to hotel. Not impossible but consideration when booking.

The location was absolutely stunning, well away from the capital (Fira) which was very busy, fantastic views of the sea and the cliffs from the terrace directly outside our room, outdoor shaded Cafe downstairs with good food and drink with friendly and accommodating staff that only got busy for a couple of hours in the middle of the day, then tapered off to a few groups of people. Mathios (the owner) was friendly, relaxed and really helpful organising a buggy hire for us (transport essential if you want to see the rest of the island). The village of Akrotiri was about a 1.3km walk up the hill and had a mini market and restaurants. Sunbeds with large umbrellas for shade on the pebble beach and the water was beautiful and refreshing (definitely recommend water shoes though for people with tender feet like mine). The daily breakfast (pre-ordered the night before) were taken on the shaded terrace above the cafe and were delicious and plentiful. The Cafe played gently, easy listening music and just sitting on the terrace in the evening with a gentle, caressing breeze and 24° C temperature with a bottle of Proseco from the village store was completely relaxing. We did a Catamaran tour on one of our day's stay, but could have easily spent the entire 3 days and nights relaxing at the hotel. A real de-compressor. I can't rate this venue highly enough for anyone wanting a relaxing holiday in Santorini, away from the crowds.
