The staff is exceptional! Anibal and Nathalia were great communicators by email even before arrival. The hotel is just an 8 minute walk to the main plaza and the cathedral. Ruins, shopping and nice restaurants within walking distance. Pacaya National Park is only an hour away. Several good travel agencies near the main square. Rooftop terrace offers spectacular views of the Agua volcano. Very nice breakfasts served at the dining room on the ground floor or at the rooftop terrace.

Spotty Wi-Fi coverage. Poor or no signal in the rooms. The walls are thick so a signal repeater would help! Woven carpet in the room was dirty and worn.

We stayed in the Presidential Suite and the room was large with a big, comfy bed and a separate jacuzzi tub and shower. It was nice and private being the only room upstairs, and we enjoyed having a private place on the rooftop terrace, too. The cooked-to-order breakfast was very good, and the women who served it were very nice. The door to the property is a locked gate 24/7 and we felt very secure there.

We were wowed as soon as the front door opened into this gorgeous boutique Inn with its stunning colonial architecture and elegant interior. The staff were so great and nothing was a bother. Our breakfast was made fresh to order every morning with delicious locally sourced fruit orange juice & Guatemalan coffee. Our room was perfect, cozy & had everything we could possibly need for a relaxing stay. Free Parking across the street in a secure lot with a ticket from the hotel staff and within a few blocks from the main square. We were so sad to leave.

It would have been nice to have some snacks available while we drank a bottle of wine in the evening. However in saying that, we never asked for them.

We had an incredible stay at Posada del Angel and would be delighted to stay there again. The room was lovely and well appointed, the breakfast was exceptionally tasty (try the refried beans, they're amazing!) and we had a truly exceptional level of support from the hotel staff. Our concierges were friendly, incredibly knowledgable, provided great recommendations and went above and beyond to help us - especially after landing at the airport and locate our taxi driver. Truly a hidden gem of a hotel and you will not be disappointed during your stay.

So glad the stars aligned and we stayed at Posada del Angel during our first time in Antigua. It is exactly as shown in the pictures and super quaint and beautifully decorated. We stayed in the Rose Suite which was incredible. My favorite part was that we had the whole roof/terrace mostly to ourselves. It felt so private and I will only stay here whenever I get to return. The staff were super helpful. They cabs they arranged and the alcohol they serve in the hotel are so well priced. We loved how there were only a couple of rooms hence it was always quiet and felt private. Thank you to the whole team for a wonderful stay! We miss it already.

Everything was incredible but if I have to make a suggestion I would say to include maybe a few more options in the breakfast. Maybe even local breakfast options. But whatever we ate was delicious.

This was the absolute perfect place for us to stay for my birthday and Valentine's Day! The service was great, the room was cozy and comfortable, and the entire place had the most beautiful charm. The rooftop terrace offered amazing views and was a great place to relax and chat. On top of all that, the breakfast was absolutely delicious! They served the absolute best omelettes and French toast, and the frijoles were very tasty. Overall, it was an excellent stay!

Having to ring the doorbell every time you want to get into the property doesn’t make us feel welcomed. Tips/service charge included in the bill that we weren’t told about at check in. I am all for the service charge, if I had been briefed up front at check in I would have tipped throughout my stay differently.

One of the most beautiful hotels I’ve ever stayed in! The room had a huge comfortable bed and great shower in the bathroom. I only stayed one night but it was cosy and peaceful, away from the busy Antigua center - just what I needed after hiking. Staff were very friendly. Its not cheap but worth it if you want to treat yourself.

Wifi was intermittent and slow at times - not a major issue though. Personally I would have liked a few more options at breakfast.

My fiancé and I travelled to Guatemala and Antigua was our last stop, and I am so glad it was because Posada del Angel was such an amazing experience to end our trip on. The staff was beyond exceptional and accommodating, the breakfast was amazing, as well as the rooftop and the view from the rooftop, and the hotel itself was beautiful. It was such a tranquil place and a wonderful place to relax after a long day of walking. I can't say enough good things about our stay.
