The bungalow rooms were huge! We had a 2-level sunken living room and entrance, with the sleeping area on the upper level. We also had an indoor and outdoor shower that my husband really loved. Our room was beautifully appointed, and we felt like a million bucks just seeing it. The beds were extremely comfy and the toiletries smelled lovely. When staying at resorts such as The Grand Roatan, be prepared to have plenty of bills ready for tipping. We didn't feel pressured, but you are provided with many services, so tipping is appropriate. The beach area is world-class. They rake the beach to help prevent sand fleas. It is in front of the barrier reef so the water is calm 24 hours a day with excellent swimming and snorkeling.

You will experience price gouging when it comes to the food available at the resort. The restaurants in the area and also on-site are very pricey. We paid $40 for 3 mediocre croissants and 2 coffees- this was the takeaway cafe. The breakfast buffet on the second day was $150+ for 4 people.

The place is absolutely beautiful, beach front, the building is modern and if you book an ocean view it’s excellent.

I booked a couple’s 90 minute relaxation massage it said on the flyer it was 185 and ill figured it was 185 per person adding a total of 370, but at the moment of paying they charged me 496$ i been to spa’s all over the world to first world countries, and i’ve never paid such a large amount for a 60 minute massage. So i would suggest they lower that price.

We’ve stayed for 6 nights as a family of 4 (2 kids, age 6 and 8). We have loved our stay. Beautiful grounds and amazing snorkeling just off the beach. Most days the water was calm enough that it was super easy for the kids to snorkel. Pool area is beautiful too. World class gym (we didn’t use the spa, but it looked beautiful). Very friendly staff and all very willing to help. Breakfast is wonderful! Great selection, lots of fresh choices (juices/fruit) and made to order items. We liked Alera for dinner (Teddy was a great). Social hour at the end of the day is great. It’s a beautiful hotel and it’s beautifully decorated.

We booked the 1-bedroom condo and we were slightly disappointment by the look/feel of the building considering the price point. The bedroom felt very damp and had a bad mold smell. After 4 nights we started dreading the nights since we al felt weird after a night in the condo (headachy, stuffed). We asked if the staff could help with the smell and they immediately placed a dehumidifier in the room. This helped big time! (as long as we emptied it every time we came back to the room) and we felt a bit stupid for not asking sooner. So my recommendation, ask for a dehumidifier if you’re experiencing the same issues.

The hotel is beautiful, the staff was so friendly and attentive. Everything eas GREAT!! The beach was so beautiful. My family enjoy this experience to the fullest. God first we will come back!!

My only complaint was at check in there was a mix up with the type of room I booked and the lady at the front desk her name was Angy was not very accommodating and the front desk manager never show up to try and help us with the matter. Checking took about an hour The excuse they use was " we can't do much since you book through a third party" this is an expensive 5 start hotel you would think they will do anything to accommodate you but that was not the case.

Loved the cleanliness and free welcome drinks! Staff was fantastic. Breakfast was absolutely terrific with so much to chose from and even freshly cooked options as well! Beach is only a stones toss away and they will help you get situated there too! Cesar was our host on the beach and let me say, if he would come and live in the States, I'd hire him in a heartbeat! Honestly made the time at the beach worth every penny we spent! He's the jewel of the Kimpton no doubt! Such a wonderful personality and really understands his role there!

Well.... Our view from our room was decent but at even the 3rd floor, it was obstructed a bit by the trees. I asked if we could go to a higher floor but was told that they couldn't do that due to all the rooms already booked up. Other than that and another issue that our friends had with their room and being moved to more satisfactory accommodations, not really much else.

Snorkeling off the beach was magical. Turtles, an incredibly alive reef, and so many fish. Equipment included in your resort fee. The food at all the restaurants was good and not crazy expensive. The location at the end of West Bay beach was just outside the fray and absolutely picture perfect.

Not crazy about guests "reserving" all the pool chairs at the crack of dawn and never using them. Our room by the pool was a little weirdly configured, but we booked only a few weeks out. Food variety could be better and include more local options.

I would have loved to have options to choose the kind of bed in the room, like orthopedic or semi or soft beds. There was no option to choose and my room had a super soft bed, too soft that it was uncomfortable most of the time

The hotel is beautifully appointed with style and comfort. The staff were so great! We felt like family literally. The reef is right outside your back door. If you go out in the morning, you will see scenes like from Finding Nemo. It's just incredible... right off the shoreline. I loved all the nature on the property as well. There are so many hummingbirds! Also, the free coffee was so good, and the pastries to die for!! Big shout out to Lea, Clarissa, Dena, Dominic, Christopher, Elder, and Calvin. We loved our stay and will return!

Beach service was a little slow. Menu options could feature a few more vegetarian options.
