The location as people have mentioned can't be beat .Just realize the pool is located at another facility and is not on site. Though it is a short few steps through a small parking lot to get to it. Very nice pool btw and just around the back from the pool area is a walkway through to the beach front . There are chairs directly there for you to place your towel on ( which I encourage you to do before 9am) to secure a nice set of beach chairs either up front by the beach or set back a few rows ,they do get snatched up quickly unfortunately. The Inn is nice, there are no open balconies only 1 room has one.Your screen doors only open and you have a ledge to lean on.You are within an open pavilion keep in mind which gets loud but the loudest is the hangover hut bar right beside this property, you will hear it clearly and they like to party. There is a shopping pavilion up from this small Inn as well with a cafe ( best pizza and bagel) I've ever had !!! Liquor store as well up from the Inn and other shopping varieties in small store fronts. There are a few restaurants up by this pavilion and within the pavilion of the Inn there are restaurants as well. The beach of West Bay is beautiful and snorkeling is some of the best ever. Keep in mind though when the cruise ships come in it makes it very very crowded. Also no surprise you will get constantly asked for massage or braid services. There's no end and when walking the beach you are constantly asked for what your plans are for the day as boat suppliers want to take you anywhere! Walk up past the end of the beach to Los Rocas I believe it's called ( but be careful the walkway / dock boards are old ) grab a margarita and get some quiet time away from constant (tourist attention) I'll call it. PS - the included breakfast is great ,made to order and they have water coolers upstairs and down which is so convenient cause you need water! A beautiful hotel— nice rooms, a beautiful bathroom, and very good AC! We had the room with the balcony and loved that aspect. The breakfast was so yummy, I had the breakfast burrito every morning and would highly recommend it! The pool is not on sight, but it’s in a hotel right next door. The beach is not even a block away, so it’s super easy to be going back and forth from the hotel as needed (which we did a lot of with our 2 year old and our 9 month old). We will absolutely be staying at La Placita again!

I think the only issue we had was the noise from the little plaza where the hotel was, and that was really only because we had little children who are more affected by the noise when it’s time to go to sleep. It wasn’t terrible though, and it didn’t go too late.

Great location in West Bay 2 minutes walk to the amazing beach; provided beach chairs; free breakfast; the rooms were a sufficient size; had a TV, good wifi, and good AC; staff were nice

An 11am checkout is a bit early (should change to noon); one of the nice front desk staff (thank you) did grant me an extension to noon, but then from 11 to noon, on three different occasions staff tried to come in (even though i had the do not disturb sign on the door). That is unacceptable. On one occasion, one of the staff even argued with me that I'm supposed to be out (even though I told her I received approval to noon). Recommendation: better communication between staff

Big room with big sized bed and big bathroom. Very comfortable. All the necessary amenities to have a great stay. The breakfast was good, nice options and good taste. They offer shuttle to the airport that is cheaper than local taxis so that is a plus (taxis are way too expensive on the island and they are all looking forward to ripping you off).

One day they didn't have beach towels so they were not going to give us anything. They didn't have any intention on solving the issue, just wanted us to wait indefinitely. After insisting a lot, they gave us normal white towels. You can use the beach chairs from a nearby hotel because la Placita doesn't have direct access to the beach, however you cannot use the umbrellas, which sucks because the sun can be quite aggressive.

La Placita Inn is a small boutique hotel with great accommodations. The rooms were very nice and the location was perfect! The staff was also incredible, including Kimberly at the front desk and Andy our hotel shuttle/taxi driver. There are a couple of restaurants right out from of the hotel that had great food and cheap beers. The beach is a 1 minute walk, very convenient. We would definitely stay there again!!

All staff were friendly and helpful, liked access to beach loungers and pool next door, breakfast was awesome with variety and willingness to tweak selections with preferences, water outside the room was convenient, proximity to West Bay Beach was awesome with a better price / value than other beach hotels.

Bed was ok but probably time for new mattresses.

The room was beautifully decorated. Good sturdy king size bed with a seating area/ couch that can be used as a third sleeping area. Spacious closet space. Wonderfully large shower area. Water was look warm but refreshing! The house staff changed towels when needed. Front desk staff were excellent and helpful. Orris and Etter, were excellent and on time in picking us up and dropping us off at the Airport! Inhouse Breakfast was sumptuous and delicious. The little restaurants in the adjoining area were excellent! Food was delicious and fresh! The beach was absolutely gorgeous and well maintained. Staff and Security were attentive and informative. I highly recommend La Placita Inn. A great bargain for the money!!

It wud be great if they had a free shuttle to and from the Airport.

We only stayed one night. The location and room were excellent. They provided lounge chairs and towels for the beach. Breakfast was also included. We were picked up from the ferry, taken to the hotel, then to the airport the next morning. Very nice courtyard with small businesses.

We enjoyed everything.

1 minute walk to the beach. You can arrange transportation to and from the airport with the hotel ($25 USD). Breakfast is included. The hotel is new & modern. They have smart TV, so you can watch Netflix & Prime. They provide filtered drinking water. My room was overlooking a small restaurants & shops.

I would suggest having a place to hang wet swimsuits. Note: they have music on until 9:30 pm. We have asked to turn it down once. It was done immediately. However, it depends where your room is located. You might not be disturbed by it. Also, they have some rooms close to a pub. I would suggest double checking a noise level before booking a room, if that is a concern to you.

Location, location, location. La Placita Inn is in the middle of West Bay, one of the most beautiful beaches we've ever seen. The Inn is modest. It's not a high end property, but it is a very clean and comfortable property with an incredible staff that goes above and beyond. Our room was spacious, very clean and had an updated bathroom/shower which was wonderful. The bed was comfortable and we had no issues with the heat or humidity with the AC and fan. Very comfortable. There are much nicer properties on the beach in West Bay, but for the money, La Placita Inn more than delivered and the staff was fantastic. Highly recommend La Placita Inn.

Honestly, hard to say. We had some confusion with our airport pick up but that was as much me as it was the Inn. I'm being picky so I'd say there was nothing we didn't like.
