Excellent location - the hotel is literally next to the Sai Ying Pun A2 Exit. Good facilities and reasonable price. Have (partial) sea view at the room. A 7-Eleven is right across the street, and a supermarket Wellcome is nearby.

The Sai Ying Pun A2 Exit has no escalator. The escalator going down at exit A was under maintenance during our stay, and the stairs are incredibly steep and long. Will recommend to take the lift at the right hand side before going up to exit A if carry luggage. Use the doors at the side (but not the one facing the main street) and the lobby is at the 7th floor.

Room is quite large for HK standards. Good bed and shower, wifi worked well. Friendly staff that is willing to help. I first had a room on the 8th floor, but after a few days requested a room on a higher floor (to avoid the street noise). They arranged this immediately and without complications. The new room on the 22nd floor was quiet, great views too. Convenient location next to Sai Ying Pun MTR exit A2. Interesting neighbourhood with plenty of restaurants and options for exploring. All in all excellent value for money in HK. I would definitely consider using this hotel again in the future.

After arrival I first got a room on the 8th floor, facing the harbour and busy Des Voeux road. The room was good, but there was quite a lot of noise from the street, especially from the trams that started riding very early in the morning. So probably a room not facing the street or on a high floor is to be preferred. The hotel does not provide breakfast, but this is not a big issue as there are plenty of restaurants close to the hotel.

Good location, with plenty of local diners and restaurants around. Within a few minutes walk from the Macau Ferry Pier, with the old tram stopping right in front of the hotel and the subway station next door. The room was big enough and had good amenities. It was also quiet. Staff is nice and particularly the older gentleman at the door downstairs, Tom (if my memory serves me well). He’s not only super nice, but he’s also very helpful with tips (for instance: where to go eat around) and he went out of his way to help me when I left the hotel. I had a big suitcase, a bag and a rucksack and he took me to a hidden entrance of the subway where I could take the elevator. He made me feel as if I was living in the building and he was the concierge. A gem!

I hadn’t realized when I booked that the hotel doesn’t offer breakfast, but that was no problem with the myriad of local places around.

The location is great as the MTR station is right next to the hotel. There are a lot of places around the area to eat. Also easy access to tram and bus, so transportation wise the location is perfect. You are also close to the Macau ferry which is convenient. The Hotel itself was clean and well taken care of. The rooms are big for HK sizes and the bed was comfortable. I cannot complain about the place, everything was really good.

Great location and atmosphere . If you take the airport shuttle bus, you can get off at the HK-Macau ferry terminal stn. It’s 10-13 mins away from the HK-Macau ferry terminal. If you take MTR, it’s just next to the A2 exit. When you have luggage, please use the exit A1. Room is cozy and tidy. Bed and the pillows not too soft, you could enjoy good sleep. I love to see trams walking on the streets. This place with the greatest views. Also, it’s located on an old community. There are some historical sightseeing spots around. If you like to sink in the old city, here definitely is your best choice!

Water pressure could be more stronger

I am very happy with my stay at Eco Tree Hotel. The location was excellent, right next to the MTR station. Bus station and Tram station also nearby. We stayed 18 days, and there's a laundry place available 150 steps away from the hotel. Although there isn't a gym, swimming pool, beautiful lobby, restaurant and other facilities but it's suitable for our stay. Definitely recommended!

The entrance is a bit small and on the side road.

Spacious toilet, sufficient space for 3 single beds, just beside Sai Ying Pun Exit A2, near to supermarket and some eateries. Walkable distance to the ferry terminal. Also, they truly live up to their eco name as they have many switches for respective lights such that there is sufficient control of lights and not 1 switch to control and manage all lights.

The entrance to the hotel is through the alley which on the first day, we had to pass by all the rubbish bags. The security system is a bit questionable as it says to use access card to enter lift lobby but it's actually not locked even after 10pm. There didn't seem to be any water dispenser provided, only canned water and the rest of drinking water we had to boil them ourself. The rooms are very close to the rooms of the next building and did not realise at first so did not draw the curtains. Upon realising, had to draw the blinds.

We stayed in a Deluxe Twin Room, which was spacious and gave a good view over the city and the sea. The room was very cleaned, with towels changed daily, and the option for bedding changes on request. The shower was big, with free body wash, shampoo and conditioner provided. The room was very quiet, with no major outside noise. There was a kettle and a fridge in the room, with canned water provided daily. The hotel is right next to a subway exit, with a tram stop also nearby, making it very convenient to travel to the rest of Hong Kong.

The bathroom sliding door had a column of slats in it which reduced privacy.

A perfect location - right next door to the metro. Made it very easy getting in from the airport and also moving around the city. For the most part everything was clean and comfortable.

Great location. Clean and big room.

We requested the hotel staff to help us book a taxi to the airport. We requested for a Jumbo taxi.. as we are 3 adults with 5 pcs of luggage. We agreed with the price at 500 HKD thinking that it was a Jumbo taxi. Prior to the agreed time, the taxi driver wanted to add another 100 HKD to the price as we were facing typhoon warning. The taxi which came was just a normal taxi. We had to squeeze all in the bag seat and 2 luggage in the front seat. So in total the uncomfortable taxi ride came up to 600 HKD. Which was more than double the meter price (the taxi driver had the meter on). It was quite an unpleasant end to our wonderful trip. The Hotel might want consider working with taxi drivers/taxi companies that are more honest.
