It is an excellent choice for budget conscious travellers to HK. Good value for money. The shortest distance from Sham Shui Po MTR Station Exit D to the hostel is 400m. It is clean and comfortable. The reception is open 24h. Most hotels/hostels in HK only have staff at the reception till midnight & check in is from 1500-0000. The staff at the reception can speak simple English and are helpful. The safe in my room malfunctioned. When I informed them, within minutes, a staff came to my room to assist me. Although the surrounding estates look old, there are plenty of eating outlets within walking distance. Sham Shui Po is well-known as a tourist spot for FOOD! You will be spoiled for choices available. There are also value shops and a supermarket nearby (Wellcome Supermarket chain in HK). There is also a small hill park behind the hostel so fitness fanatics like me can exercise every morning as the hostel doesn't provide a gym.

I think the hostel drainage system may not be so good as the water took slightly longer time for it to go down the pipe when we were bathing. Not sure about other rooms. Do take note that the hostel only change the towels once in 3 days. Not really problem for me.

The location is good, 500 meters from Sham Shui Po station, so you can take public transportation from the airport to the hostel. The hostel has a museum about the history of housing that was originally in an underdeveloped area, which is worth visiting and is free. There is a shared kitchen, air conditioning in the common areas, and the cleanliness is very good. They lend umbrellas, which is good because it rained almost every day in Hong Kong in June. The staff is very friendly and attentive. If you arrive early, you can leave your luggage in the luggage room for free.

The air conditioning is centralized and sometimes it is quite cold, which is a bit of a shock when compared to the heat outside. But the bed is comfortable and comes with a free blanket.

[Stayed in 8 person male dorm]. A YHA so a certain level of security and quality can be expected and meet. Building has a free museum that shows life and homes in the past which can be very interesting and insightful. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Location very good with plenty of easy food options and shops that are only a street away. Luggage storage in room decent size to fit one large and medium size luggage (but perhaps not XL). Building easily identifiable and located. Guests in my room were polite and generally quiet. Has two bathrooms shared between 8 people which is reasonable. Size of the room good too.

Room was on the humid side even with air-conditioning, could do with stronger ventilation that can also remove slight odors with higher number of people in rooms. Cleaning of private bathroom could also increase to remove wet floors.

The location is very good, very close to the Sham Shui Po metro station, it is easy to find the hostel. The room is spacious and has a large locker to store your belongings. The shower has hot water and the bathroom is inside the room. The bed is comfortable and the room and bathrooms are clean. The shared kitchen area is spacious and has air conditioning in all areas. The Wi-Fi works very well in all areas.

I didn't have any problems at the hostel. Sometimes the air conditioning is quite strong.

location is very convenient

The convenience that is, it doesn't have to follow good afternoon, bowel and you can be 60 for 10 years because we go down so we're making hard to 400 feet in front of me. We're fun to mr.Pants and looking valiation, tara seems do not dump power banking, decovering.In the smart into the greekNo fridge in the room, for the deep summer time really inconvenient

With the museum / heritage of Mei Ho House next door this place is a perfect location to learn more about the "old" Hong Kong (HK) and how people lived in this historical building. The H-block is completely renovated with very big double rooms (for HK standards). Complete with kitchen facilities and a café. Also great location to explore the old neighbourhoods of Cheung Sha Wan and Sham Shui Po. Best traditional HK food is in Sham Shui Po. Two nearby mtr stations to easily navigate to other parts of HK. We love this place.

When we extended our stay with two more days we had to change rooms

We stayed 4 times in Dec/Jan with various durations. In our last stay, we were told the 5th floor room, which we were allocated in the first 3 stays, was not available as they are premium or something to that effect. This is not an issue to us. I just look at Booking.com, and your room options include DOUBLE OR TWIN ROOM (RANDOM BEDDING), and showing 2 SINGLE BEDS. I think this option means a double room could be assigned instead, with a single bed. Suggest the description be changed to 2 SINGLE BEDS OR 1 DOUBLE BED, DEPENDING ON AVAILABILITY, if this option represents.

The staff were so kind and patient in helping me get around Hong Kong for the first time. From my Sim card, to payment methods when I couldn't. The female-only shared bedrooms are good value for money. Definitely recommend for solo female travelers

The communal kitchen gets messy really quickly and their shelves are really full. But otherwise everything is great. Also, do keep in mind the hotel is in a hill.

Plenty of food nearby, value for money property. Close to Sham Shui Po MTR via exit B2 (direct linkway thru the subway). Also closeby to Shek Kip Mei MTR. Helpful 24hour counter service, able to put luggage before check in. Laundry and kitchen services available. Need to take off the sheets and pillow cases before you check out.

Room has too few power points. They are congregated at one particular table instead of a few throughout the room. If they are unable to space the power points out, the property should at least try to put an extension cord.

Location is near authentic street markets with very local vibe, not very touristy which I loved. Near a metro station, and few vegetarian vegan restaurants, which I also loved. The hostel has a unique vibe and history as it was an old popular housing estate, close to another readopted school building turned art centre.
