This place was an absolute gem, right next to Taj Mahal. Food was good ,very mild for Indian food. Punching well above it's weight . We had the Front rooms and can only recommend those. The staff were mega helpful but not obtrusive. There's a small road down to the river nearby great for sunset shots though go in a pair of more due to the darkness. Also a nature reserve up the hill for picnic and views of the Taj. I would stay there again . For the price it was outstanding. Also set in a pedastrianised area with a big police presence very quiet at night but plenty of cafes and resturants in the day. Hard for 5 star hotels to compete with pleasant little hotels like this. Fantastic for the price and proximity to the Taj.

Firstly I would like to recommend this hotel for all those travelers who wants to stay near Taj Mahal. One star extra for Mr. Jayant who was managing the property. A smiley face and always eager to help. I booked a basic room then upgraded. For Bengali travellers you will get bhat dal mach . Mach dont expect typical bengali style if you are craving for Fish you can try. Loved the Garden area.

The location of Hotel Sheela is second to none. Within 200m of the East Gate entry to the Taj and in the vehicle exclusion zone, it is ideal. And the garden area surrounding the hotel is the cherry on the cake. We woke to birdsong (rather than the usual Indian traffic noise), which was wonderful. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Cleaning could be improved.

The hotel is very close to the Taj Mahal, super quiet, very spacious and very reasonably priced. The attached restaurant is also good.

Only EVs are allowed around the Taj Mahal area, so I had to walk for 5 to 10 minutes to catch a tuktuk, and 15 minutes to catch a taxi.

Everything about this Hotel was fantastic. It was in a great location, 3 mins walk to the entrance of the taj mahal. Great food at reasonable prices, very friendly staff. The manager was very attentive and he took pride in his hotel. Very nice guy who was always on hand to help with any questions that I had. The accommodation was comfortable and it was great to finally stay in a hotel that had hot water. Located in a very quiet area surrounded by gardens so it's good to get a well rested nights sleep away from the traffic.

The hotel is fantastic, the only minor issue I had was when I checked into the room, there was alot of mosquitos in the room so I spent a couple hours killing them all. Luckily I travel with a plug in mosquito repellent anyway so this wasn't an issue for too long, without this I'd have been doomed. I can only imagine the room was left open for a long period of time before my arrival. One other issue is the not the hotel itself but the touts outside waiting at the gates of the hotel. There isn't much that can be done about this unfortunately but it was pretty full on and got tiring everytime I walked out of the gates. This is expected given such a great location so please don't let this put you off. Overall the experience here was great, many thanks to the staff 👍👍

Great location, closest hotel to the Taj. Peaceful garden environs

The room could have been bigger. And because the hotel is so close to the Taj, it falls in the no-vehicle zone so you can’t drive to the hotel. The hotel's parking space is about a mile away, but staff will help carry your luggage from your car

Location near Taj Mahal East Gate! Very walking distance if you want to catch Taj Mahal for sunrise. The property clean, all the facility oke based on the information listed. All works well also the AC & water heater. Space room was big for 2 people in it.

It is old building, but all the facility are works well so it is enough.

Location is just near taj east gate.Staff was also very cooperative.we reached there in night 11:30 hotel manager told us how to reach and send his guy to pickup the luggage as there are no vehicles allowed in that area.

Hotel was good in that price as per the location.Only thing is there slippers should be provided for washroom inside room.

No window to bedroom. Cold in restaurant and extra to pay for small heater in bedroom (was 5 degrees Celsius in Agra at night)

Was an awesome location just walking distance to Taj gates. Really beautiful garden surrounds and nice and quiet. Our room was very average and the toilet smelled a lot. But the staff were super accommodating and let us check out late, leave our bags until 11pm (night bus),3 and shower in another room which was actually a lot nicer than our room, so perhaps pay a little more money for an above start double.room.
