Our first hotel on our trip of 5 and this was by the far the best. Great location for the Taj Mahal. Nice breakfast but after we had picked out for the buffet then we were asked if we wanted an eggs for a omelette or fried so ask before you pick any food.

The hotel wanted a deposit before our stay so you end up paying more for your accomadation for example price quoted is £100 so you send £50 plus £10 international payment and then the hotel charges you for their bank transaction of £10 so you end up paying £120.

Great location! Walking distance from Taj Mahal. The staff was also great, sometimes maybe to great haha! Things as scoop up your food, pour in your drinks, asking 4 times if every thing is okay. All really nice things but we're not used to this so we we're a bit overwhelmed. But they do their best to make u feel at home! The location is near by allot of stuff and also the area is great to walk around. It's very clean :)

There was not much that could be better, if I have to name a thing; the room was clean but the ceiling had some edges that had a lot of dust on them, even the ventilator had the some on top of the blades. As i said, it didn't irritate us but that could be better :) Also the restaurant on top had great food ! We

We read many reviews about this hotel, so we didn't have great expectations, but we chose it because we only had one night and wanted to stay close to the Taj. And for that purpose it was perfect. It looks better from the outside, inside some common areas are quite worn out (interior of the lift, carpets on the halls, bathroom in reception area) but the room was nice and comfortable, with a good cubicle shower. Breakfast was not bad and the staff in the breakfast area were kind enough to let us have it almost at closing time, after our early visit to the Taj Mahal, even refilling when necessary. Walking to the famous monument early morning was a real pleasure, it's a nice relaxed road with souvenir stores, cafes and restaurants, with no other traffic than the golf carts carrying some visitors. After some time in the country we were aware that a walk like this is quite unusual, a real luxury in Indian cities. So if you are going to Agra basically for the amazing Taj Mahal, this is a real good option.

The manager left us with mixed feelings. He was very polite and he even sent a free taxi to fetch us from the train station, but he called us several times (who calls these days?!) and sent too many WhatsApp messages before and after our stay. I'm sure he has good intentions, but usually a couple of messages should be enough.

Very nice staff and super location just few hundred meters from Taj Mahal. Even from the rooftop of the hotel there is a wonderful view of the Taj

Lack of cleanliness

Good value for money, great location 15 minutes walk from the entrance to Taj Mahal, great air-conditioned restaurant with a terrace offering some glimpses of a distant Taj Mahal, you can watch your delicious food cooked through a large glass panel, decent swimming pool open until 10pm, shop and craft show on the premises, flexible taxi service which we used to get here from Delhi airport and then to Jaipur, great service from people who take pride in their hotel and are happy to organise everything for their guests. By the way, Taj Mahal tickets can be purchased on the Archeological Survey of India website for the price of c. £10 per person (foreigner), only visitors 15 year old and older need tickets and the service is available in working hours.

A bit neglected / unfinished but honestly not much to complain about for this price.

Our stay at Hotel Taj was exceptional! The staff was incredibly accommodating - we arrived early and they went above and beyond to have our room ready by 10:00 am, which was so appreciated after our journey. Our room was great - comfortable, clean, and well-appointed. The absolute highlight was the rooftop restaurant with stunning views of the Taj Mahal - enjoying meals while gazing at this wonder of the world was unforgettable. The location couldn't be better - just a short walking distance to the Taj Mahal, making it easy to visit at different times of day. The entire experience was incredible, making our visit to this iconic monument even more special. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Agra!

A few less spicy options at breakfast would have been nice.

The staff were very friendly and super helpful from before arrival organising a car to collect us from the train station, being able to accommodate an early check in (MUCH needed after arriving on a night train), helping to book Taj tickets and general local recommendations. We had dinner in the rooftop restaurant - food was great and lovely atmoshphere with local music Our rooms were clean, spacious and beds comfy. The pool was lovely to be able to cool off after a sunny, hot day being a tourist! Amazing location with only 10 minute stroll to the Taj and lots of tuk tuks just outside so easy to get to other sights

The location.

I thought that payment it will be taken from my account before arrive, but it wasn’t, so we didn’t manage to have that amount of cash. But then they allow to us to go to the room and accommodate ourselves, and to get the rest of payment, but before that they called a few times to the room reminding the pending payment, it was so annoy. Plus I requested to have some banana around 5.30am as we woke up to see sunrise Taj Mahal views, and the refused to give it to me, it would be charged 170rp extra, so do not make any sense if we will be coming back for breakfast time.

During my recent visit to Agra (2nights), I had the pleasure of staying at the renowned Taj Hotel Resorts. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with exceptional hospitality and service that set the tone for a truly unforgettable experience. The rooms were spacious and elegantly furnished, offering stunning views of the surrounding gardens, terrace and pool area. The attention to detail in every aspect of the resort was truly impressive. The staffs were really helpful in arranging everything for us. The dining options at Taj Hotel Resort were equally impressive, with a variety of cuisine from around the world. Whether enjoying a leisurely dinner at terrace with live music (on Wednesday nights) by the pool, every meal was a culinary delight. Highly recommended hotel for anyone who wants a relaxed stay at Agra while visiting the mesmerizing Taj Mahal, India.

Nothing dissatisfied

We got the most exceptional service from OP Yadav and team during our stay in Agra. Mr Yadav has gone above and beyond what is expected of a hotel manager. The first time when we couldn't get from Rathambore where he did everything he could to get us a taxi from Rathambore to Agra, the second time when our train to Varanasi was canceled. Mr Yadav and his team did their best to get us new tickets for the train. When the train was overcrowded and we came back to the hotel in a daze, they immediately found us a room. The next day they helped us with bus tickets, and arranged for a taxi, the driver waited with us on the bus and then until we got on the right bus. We are all deeply grateful to you!
