Overall, I had a very positive experience at Southern Star, Bangalore. The room was spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed and all the amenities I needed. The staff was friendly and helpful and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure guests had a pleasant stay. The hotel's location was also convenient. It was close to many restaurants and shops and easy to get around town.

Considering the amenities/facilities provided by the hotel, I felt the cost was overpriced. Also, the breakfast variety could be improved, especially the English breakfast menu, which lacked soup and had limited dessert options, including fruit.

Professional courteous staff who were very helpful..respond immediately..hotel is walking distance to Brigade road, St marks road, MG road, UB city ..lots of Restaurants nearby.autostands nearby too...has a good Chinese restaurant in the premise.. didn't try their other restaurant. ROOM is comfortably large. All in all it was a good stay.

Room has old look.Bed was ok but one can feel the springs making it uncomfortable. Refrigerator never worked., though we never needed it..Shower had mould( which was taken care immediately)..they graciously changed our room to lower floor as the sound from top floor bar and repair were disturbing into late night..Breakfast was Meh.almost the same menu every day..

Excellent Location close to the downtown core. Very close to the UB City Mall and lots of restaurants, cafe's and bars within a 5 to 10 min walk. The Hotel was reasonably clean and everything was as expected from a Hotel in this price range and star rating. The breakfast spread was tasty with enough options. There are two restaurants in the Hotel - Zest and Rice Bowl, which are both very good. The best thing about the Hotel is its location. Bangalore traffic can be chaotic and can sometimes take very long to cover just a few kilometers. Staying in this part of town reduces travel distance to any part of the city and saves up a ton of time for other activities.

There was some kind of Maintenance going on on the first day and there was a constant drilling sound all morning. We should've been informed about this in advance but weren't. The front desk, however, was kind enough to upgrade us to a suite on a different floor which was much larger, nice and quiet.

The hotel was very clean, a speedy check in. We did have a problem with one member of staff who came to our door in the morning and asked if we wanted our complimentary water replenishing. He then would not leave the room asking for a tip. The kind lady on the reception desk was very helpful and told us that this was not acceptable and she would make sure it did not occur again. The buffet breakfast was very good, freshly made to order Dosa were very tasty, with plenty of tea or coffee. The breakfast staff were very good. The hotel location was only a 10 min walk to nigh life bars and restaurants.

They did not have the beer we liked in the roof top bar and the wardrobe was a little musty smelling.

Location is very good at Center of Bangalore. Staff was very courteous. Breakfast was exellent. Zest Restaurant had excellent Indian breakfast. Welcoming us was Mr. Hussain , who was very attentive to our needs and prompt service. Greatly appreciate his services.

There was renovation going on the top floor and we were just down. Noise was nuisance. The hotel Guest relations immediately changed room to a quieter room at lower floor. Ms Nung was extra excellent and she even apologised and gave us free drinks. Really appreciated her sincere concern for guests comfort.

Location is biggest advantage of this property. You can go any key location within 2kms travel. Cubbon park, stadium, vidhana sauda, aquarium, UB city mall etc are just few metres away. Room & facilities are good and absolute value for money. I booked suite room for 2 days at most nominal price. Staying at various cities, I can say by far this is cheapest and better than other properties. Staff were very helpful. Had an emergency situation & staff helped us quickly. Breakfast was excellent. Provided both South Indian & English breakfast. Enjoyed food on all 3 days we stayed.

Nothing as such

This was a comfy hotel in a nice area of Bangalore. Staff were super nice and the bed was comfy.

Our window looked onto a concrete wall about 1m away, not the nicest..The top floor restaurant was closed for renovations, which was a shame. Would have been nice to have somewhere in the hotel to go and relax that's not your room. Breakfast was ok, hard to get a nice cup of tea. Southern Star Mysore is quite a bit nicer in the hotel facilities, rooms are similar.

Good staff, good room. Location is also pretty nice near cubbon and stadium. Overall not worth spending more than 5k, but they have airport cabs and good restaurants inside.

Cost is a bit high, breakfast had repeated options. Overall not work 6-7k per night. Twin beds weren't that comfy, however weren't that bad also. Water was 80 rs a bottle and overall felt like we're staying in a luxurious hotel without any facilities matching it. Overall it was costly for us and wouldn't recommend to go back since there are other options too

It's a great spot, if one needs to be at the center of town and close to the MG, Brigade, St Mark's areas.

Rooms at the back feel rather claustrophobic. I'd recommend asking for a road facing room, despite it being noisier.. These tend to be brighter and feel more "open"

The breakfast spread was exceptional Would like to place on record our gratitude to Mr Sushil, Mr Balram , Mr Ramesh and team who went out of the way to cater to every dietary requirement of all guests with a smile . The reception desk staff was outstanding It was home away from home
