This is an additional comment about Booking.com pricing that we received at time of our booking. We paid approx Rs 6,000 per night for 11 nights. We later found on Expedia.com that Chancery had a lower price of Rs 3,800 for the last 6 nights of our stay, quite less than we had booked on Booking.com, yet we were not permitted to cancel those nights and rebook at the lower rate. We have heard that Bookings rates are usually higher than Expedia and Agoda, which do offer lower rates than the hotel rate.

I liked the style, which was more European for a change, so I felt quite at home. It was almost like to be staying in one of the old-fashioned hotels in London. The room was big enough to accommodate a big bed, a sofa with a sofa table, a writing table with a wall mirror above, a TV, a wardrobe and a small fridge in the corridor. WiFi and the AC were both working well. The towels and bedding were changed at request. There were fresh cut flowers in the vases in public areas and a rather big area on the ground floor with the armchairs and sofas where one could read a newspaper or have a chat with a guest. I bought one more night later and they arranged that I could stay in the same room where I was already staying. That was nice. I am grateful. The hotel was conveniently located close to a big park and a metro station.

The laundry service was slow. The spa provided only massage. There was one quite a bossy member of the staff every morning at the breakfast place. She probably did not mean it but was unable to control herself. Fortunately all the other members of the staff in the hotel behaved professionally.

Wonderful hotel got upgraded as we needed the spare bed which was requested during booking. Staff are super attentive, and friendly. Hi-tech rooms with digital cards and notifications to staff for room cleaning and laundry.

The bathroom, though westernised, has a window through to the room, which allowed privacy to the bedroom on the other side via a roller blind. However as the shower water falls on the blind you can see the mould build up on the bottom. We also struggled to make sure the water stayed in the bath with a u-bend shower curtain. We also felt the mattress was a little worn, as we could feel the springs.

The location is very convenient - in the city center and proximity to nearby location convenient. Lot of good restaurants and eateries nearby.

There was a bathtub and somehow I find it extremely hazardous to shower in a bathtub - preference should be given for rooms that have a simple shower. Secondly, I prefer the wall mounted dispensers to the small individual bottles of shampoo, soap..... a much better option that is eco-friendly.

As a multicultural couple from India and USA, we found it well balanced to our dietary demands. The staff was really helpful. Cleanliness was good but not the best. I did inform the Hotel staff about it. But this was only a minor issue, overall it is a really good pick if you want to visit Bangalore. Superb location and environment! Would visit again and recommend others as well

Food was delicious, fresh and safe. Staff are friendly and helpful. Appreciated the free bottled water supplied as part of room hire, with daily replacements. Location is exceptional. Really appreciated the quiet room at night in spite of the hotels location near busy roads.

Interior requires a refresh, though the cleanliness of linen and the comfy beds and pillows were a pleasant contrast.

The breakfast was outstanding every single day, and the service was exceptional! The hotel is superbly located, close to the iconic Koshy’s and Jewel Box restaurants, shopping, money exchange (Prithvi Exchange, next to Konark Restaurant), the best pharmacy (Cash Pharmacy), transportation, the Bowring club,

Location and the hotel itself, It was a calm and in a very good neighbour hood of Garden. Its also has many accesible market and malls.

Nothing in particular

Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was very good. Location was great. Had come for the wpl match as the stadium was within walking distance. Even though the match experience was not great, it was a great stay at the hotel which made my day.

Everything was good .

Situated on Lavelle road, within walking distance from Cubbon Park, MG road, St. Marks and the myriad eateries on Church Street, you couldn't ask for a better location for a hotel. Although an old property, rooms are spacious and clean, and staff is attentive and responsive. Usually stay here when in Bangalore.
