Well we have taken the room with a private pool, the view and location was exceptional, the staff was amazing and the food was good (keeping in mind that it’s not fresh most of it is frozen) we didn’t use the private pool cause it was a bit dirty, the main pool was temperature controlled which was good for by kid however overall the property needs a lot of maintenance. You also definitely need a car if you’re staying at this location everything is quite far unless you’re gonna chill there itself. The resort has decent activities.

I had a very pleasant stay at deshadan backwater resort. The location is very beautiful. The staff were friendly and helpful, making sure everything was comfortable during my stay The service was good,and the property is well maintained.. They have some activities in the property like ayurvedic spa, speed boating,shikkara boating and kayaking and etc . They are providing bicycles to explore the village . Thank you deshadan for the memorable stay

The staff is amazing specially the lady at the front desk. All others are also very helpful and try to help the guests with whatever they need. The included Breakfast is really good . Price for dinner seems to be a bit higher.Room service is really fast .

The water around the restaurant is very dirty and there is some stale smell around that area which can be unpleasant. If they can clean it and do something about the smell then it would be great.

The view from our lakefront room was spectacular. Our room had a balcony, plunge pool and small fenced yard. Sitting on the balcony with our morning coffee, watching the sun rising, the fishermen collecting their catch from the 'Chinese fishing nets', the small boats passing by, and the birds flying past over the lake, was magical.

Location -- it's fine if you're there to see the lake but otherwise there aren't a lot of tourist sites nearby and only the local villages and temples within walking distance.

Food is a bit expensive for the area In spa they could have some relaxing music and better lighting may give much better experience.

Good resort overlooking the backwaters. It's a perfect spot for watching the sunrise. The staff were very accommodating when we had a change of plans and decided to leave Alleypey a day earlier. They returned 1 night worth of the booking cost back to us. The pool is perfect size too, and is a bit like an infinity pool with the backwaters behind it

The backwater resort offers an exceptional escape with breathtaking sunrise views. The rooms provide stunning vistas of the serene backwaters, room service and food was excellent. Highlights was the rejuvenating Ayurvedic spa sessions. Overall, the resort seamlessly blends comfort with nature, making it an ideal retreat for relaxation.

Food in restaurant can be a bit better. Breakfast was good. But, for the rest (lunch/dinner), the taste of the items needs improvement
