During the stay we felt that we were living very close to nature. The accessories and amenities used here are 100% environmental friendly.

One issue, the restaurant closes at 10:00pm. This time should definitely be extended. Many birthday/aniversary celebrations, cake cutting (includuing ours) were happening around 10:00pm because of the closing time. There must be a separate dining area for these functions which should be operational at least until 01:00 am. The management must think about it. We had all the pleasant memories from here except this scar that we had to cut the birthday cake well before 12:00am!

Everything- location, friendly staff, excellent menu choice in the restaurants, child friendly recreation centre, lots of activities for all age groups including yoga, ayurvedic massage centre, Vembanad Lake boat rides. excellent informative eco-tour within the resort. Everyone were totally committed. We were accompanied by 2 members of the family who were on their first India visit- our daughter-in-law and grandson who were not used to the local spice and heat. The staff and the excellent chefs tailored and tweaked to suit their palates. They also learnt some Malayalam in the process! The swimming pool was very welcome.

The bathroom recreated in the old ancestral design with a partially open roof at one corner did make the floor wet due to the moisture, currently worse because of the monsoon rains. The bathroom mirror was misted during the duration of our stay. I must stress, this is a comment not a criticism. We have friends who are disabled and wished to know whether we would recommend this place. This place would not be suitable for them.

We had a wonderful week at Coconut Lagoon. We’re a family with a 7-y/o daughter. We loved the food! There is a wide range of vegetarian and vegan options on the menu and at the buffets. The service was great. The staff is like a family. Authentic, natural, friendly. And one can see that they enjoy the work in the team. We enjoyed the games and staff performances on Onam! There were lots of activities to do. Ayurveda, paddling with Mr. Abhi (thanks for the beautiful tour), pottery, weaving, yoga, meditation, watching the birds, butterflies and lizards in the beautiful gardens, sunset cruise, activity room for kids, and many more. We attended several meditation and yoga sessions with Mr. Naveen - waking up early was every time worth it. He triggered interesting and deep thoughts in me. This is not about how many yoga poses you can do. It’s about the essence and origins of yoga! Thank you! Although a bit on the expensive side compared to other luxury hotels, we took a few Ayurveda treatments. The Ayurveda team tried their best to fix even chronic health problems in our bodies. Thank you. We happened to be in the resort in the week of Onam. We were lucky to witness several cultural dances every evening. The highlight was the Kathakali performance on Onam. We appreciated the sustainable approach of the hotel: no plastic bottles, free clean water from the own bottling plant. As a vivid traveller I was very curious to visit this property from a long time. It surpassed my expectations especially the staff and ambience. It’s perfect for a family with kids and parents and our luck was to be there to celebrate Onam celebrations with them as they kept us engaged throughout the day with lot of fun activities. From the GM Mr Harikrishnan to AGM Mrs Shynima to other staff namely the chef Mr Shinoz, Dinesh, Gowtham, Anamika, Jasmeena to name a few made sure we were completely at comfort. What else could we ask for. Food was excellent and made to our taste freshly. Kids and parents absolutely loved the property and the heritage mansion we stayed. Their detail to the hospitality has been commendable. If looking for a winter vacation with family then this place is a definitely go to. Luckily climate has been good to us to explore various other nearby places too like the water lily village , spice village etc. Kumarakom CGH coconut lagoon definitely left us a lifetime memory

The only thing I didn’t really like is that the manager Mr Harikrishnan didn’t push my husband or father hard to make the next booking very soon even after my insistance.

Beautiful location by the lake. Lovely looking cottages and a nice little pool. All the buildings looked fantastic. Whilst the sunset cruise was great, one could enjoy the same sitting at the edge of the property. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food was good especially the breakfast. It was wonderful to see the birds, monitors,turtles and the butterflies not to mention the unique trees within the property.

Food is a bit in the pricey side. There could be more activities through the days for kids. Some of their in house activities are too expensive. It’s a long drive from the airport. The 90 km feels like 180 km.

We stayed at Coconut Lagoon for three nights, and were struck by the beauty, authenticity and charm of this wonderful resort-village. We were amazed by the traditional architecture of the houses that compose the village and the very elegant rooms, perfect for a romantic stay. We did multiple activities offered by Coconut Lagoon, such as: boat tours, bird watching, kayaking, yoga/meditation and Ayurvedic massages and many more. The staff was wonderful and always ready to assist us and take care of our every need. The restaurants offer a variety of delicious food, very fresh and of good quality. The price is, however, on the higher end. The whole experience was fantastic. Furthermore, we want to specially thank the staff of the resort, specifically Tijo Thomas, who helped me orchestrate my wedding proposal to my current fiancé. If I could give 20/10, I would! Our heartfelt gratitude for the incredible experience we had during our recent stay at Coconut Lagoon. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and hospitality that truly set the tone for our vacation. A special mention goes to Bhoomika, Sherlin, Surya and Md Shafi, whose dedication and attentiveness made our stay exceptionally memorable. The beautiful grounds of Coconut Lagoon are a sight to behold. The lush greenery, well-maintained paths, and serene atmosphere created a perfect backdrop for relaxation and enjoyment. The scenery was nothing short of breathtaking, making every moment spent on the property a delight. We also want to commend the culinary team for providing excellent food. Each meal was a delightful experience, with a diverse menu that catered to all our tastes. The quality of the dishes, combined with the warm service, made dining at the hotel a highlight of our stay. The facilities were top-notch, and it was evident that the entire staff is committed to ensuring guests have a wonderful experience. This is like a dream.. A small boat arrives to take you to Coconut lagoon. The staff are exceptionally nice, there is a clean restroom to refresh & then the journey starts. As the boat continuosly does the tut tut like a stuck record and takes you along calm backwaters, coconuts palms curved & leaning, peeping to see who the new visitor is, you wonder if such places really exist. Then you correct yourself. Its a dream. A gate over the canal swings open and then you wade straight into the front porch. Bhoomika our hostess & Sunil the musician are waiting to welcome us. A quick tilak on the forehead while the nostalgic songs float from the flute that Sunil is holding. E manohara theerathu tharumo eniyoru janmam koodi. Yes, just live the experience. Walk over the property, the old nalukettus relocated & sympathetically restored. The sunset cruise, the kayaking experience or just enjoy a beer on the lawn as the evening program unfolds. This is paradise, you are taken care of! Period.

The location was good the staff were friendly.. Which make the difference....i would give 11 on 10 for the staff Not one person I met was not. Friendly and welcoming..... The sunset boat cruise was amazing.... The buffet dinner and lunch was awesome and too good. Variety for everyone...... Would go back...

A lot of people may not agree but I would still prefer a TV in the room. Which they do not have however they have a TV room which is common. Also a lot of Frogs, mosquitoes and other insects in the rooms.. Pest control atleast for inside room needs to be re looked at.. With a child it gets difficult to have lizards and frogs on your door and walls scares children.
