It is truly a well maintained luxury resort that meets international standards We did the day houseboat cruise and loved it, we had fresh meals prepared on the boat and it was truly an unique experience. The restaurant buffet options are good and staff is so welcoming and friendly. Aarthy from the restaurant made us feel welcome. With unexpected turn of events we had to drive to Madurai, the driver Aneesh from the resort made our 8hr journey so comfortable and accommodated our needs, thanks Aneesh! Overall highly recommend and we will be going back there ourselves!

Visiting during the monsoon season added a unique charm to our stay, as we reveled in the soothing rainfall while enjoying the waterfront views. The gentle pitter-patter of rain created a tranquil atmosphere, perfectly complementing the resort's peaceful ambiance. The culinary experience was a highlight of our stay, with the resort offering an impressive array of delectable seafood options. Each meal was a delight, showcasing the rich flavors of the region. For ultimate relaxation, we indulged in the resort's spa services. The massages were incredibly soothing, providing a blissful escape from everyday stress. We were particularly impressed by Mr. Atul from the spa, whose expert care elevated our wellness experience. Throughout our stay, the staff's attentiveness ensured our comfort. Special mention goes to Mr. Kavi, the Public Relations Officer, whose friendly demeanor and prompt assistance with all our queries greatly enhanced our stay. His support was invaluable in making our time at the resort truly memorable. The lay-out and architecture of this resort transport guests to old-world Kerala with its attention to detail and careful preservation of old artefacts. The Heritage room was quite amazing with its jacuzzi. The room for the physically-challenged, the only one available for me when I extended my stay, was very accessible, for any one with special needs. The food was excellent, staff were very accommodating and helpful and the location on the backwater was amazing ! The pool was good and the gym and staff were excellent. The trip on the backwater was very evocative of the everyday-life of people on the backwaters in central Kerala. The variety of birds at this location was the icing on the cake !

The location was a little difficult to make out from the road if one didn't know where it was exactly. Even Google maps was "confused". The room for the physically-challenged, the one available for me when I extended my stay, had a big cockroach in the outdoor shower area. The resort needs to see how this menace can be controlled. The pool was a little too shallow in many areas - it's fine if not too many people are swimming.

We had a fantastic time at the resort's overnight houseboat stay on a 4BD boat. The experience was very unique. Great staff and above all, great local food. So good that the whole family had food coma. Cruising through some of the natural beauties and parking up for the night at middle of peace and calmness of the lake. Boat itself was very comfortable and traditionally luxury with clean rooms and toilets. Lot of things to do in the boat as well such as fishing, games etc. They cooked and served lunch and dinner on the boat. The breakfast was next day after checkout at the resort which was lavishly spread with lots of options. Truly 5* experience. The resort property itself had lots to walkabout and do. You can do kayak, fishing in-resort, games, pottery making etc. Would highly recommend one night in the resort and one night on the houseboat. Had lovely time and kudos to entire staff.

A wonderful welcome and stay in this very beautiful resort.We were welcomed from Gloria wich helped us trough out the entire stay. We cruised at sunset for free with a big boat and around 20 people but the treat was the next morning with a motor canoa that took us around the small canals and the lake with the amazing colors of the early morning. Gym was great as well as the nice instructor. Dinner in the fish restaurant was very romantic.Food not amazing as well the bloody Mary but i would rather choose this one instead of the more crowded one. Breakfast was really good with many many choices. We were not much lucky with the room since it had two windows behind the bed and could hear a lot of chit chat until late.Attention to details in the room was very nice.From tea tray to peanuts from bathroom set to that touch of elgance that sometimes make the difference. I’ve tried an Ayurvedic massage that was a bit expensive.i did not love it but that is me.The therapist though were very good and professional. Jacuzzi was amazing. Would i come again?not sure.What i was missing was a room with a view of the lake.Not easy to find,i know,but this is my next goal for my trip in Kumarakom. Overall a very good place to stay so 5 stars for sure.

This resort is an absolute gem as far as the location, property, facilities and staffs working there are concerned. We had a truly amazing stay and that was just because the hotel staff made sure that every minute we spent was truly worth. Most hotels don't really understand what goes in to make a holiday memorable but this resort has the right mix of people and facilities that anyone would need.

The location is beautiful, and the rooms are done in a cosy and elegant manner! We loved the seafood restaurant, and enjoyed the various activities on offer at the resort. The sunset cruise was a nice touch as well. The spa was also a pleasant experience. Overall, all the staff are very friendly and make you feel welcome at all times. :)

The sunset cruise could include some beverages or snacks (like a high tea) while going around the lake. :)

An excellent resort in a perfect lakeside location. Sitting by the pool overlooking the lake early in the morning was just wonderful. Grounds very well maintained and so very picturesque. Food in the restaurants was really good with a wide choice. I would recommend this hotel to all

Kumarakom Lake Resort is one of the two five-star properties in Kumarakom. It has a beautiful location touching the Lake Vembanad. The welcome and the check-in process are smooth and quick. The rooms have the heritage feeling, just that they are modernized for the customers' comfort. The meandering pool villas are awesome. Every villa is connected to the pool. The house boat ride with lunch or dinner through the tranquil back waters of the Vembanad lake is a must do if the budget permits, although the resort has a free ride every day at 5.30 pm for all the guests. The staff is well trained and admirable in hospitality. The photographer who clicks pics for you free of cost is a gem in the package and has a good knowledge of photography from your own mobile. The housekeeping service is exceptional. The service team in the restaurant is flawless, and so is the reception team. The staff is helping, friendly, honest, and hard-working, just right for the hospitality industry.

There is, as such, nothing i didn't like, but food does carry a lot of marks as they say a way to someone's heart is also through stomach. The kerala food is authentic and good but not so flavorful, but the rest of the cuisine is way too bland. The deserts are way below standard they need to improve a lot on all the cuisine except the kerala cuisine. Improve as in from seasoning to flavoring, selection of menu.

Great location , great decoration, good food

When leaving the restaurant after dinner, I asked for the bill. I understood that nothing had to be done. One hour later when we were asleep, we were waken up to sign our bill. Couln t they have waited for the breakfast time! We had a private pool ( small) and there were two common pools. The largest one, when we tried to have a swimm in it, was forbidden to us, and we had to go to the other one.
