The hotel was beautiful- loved the central courtyard area - just as stunning as in the photos. The rooms were fabulous. And so lovely to have the rooftop pool to enjoy after a day’s exploring in Kochi. The security staff at the door were very cheerful and helpful. There are always plenty of tuk tuks outside to take you around. Just remember to say ‘no shops’ when negotiating a price! The hotel provided free coffee/snacks on the rooftop around 4:30 every afternoon which was a nice gesture. We only had dinner there once - at the rooftop restaurant accompanied by some amazing sitar/ drum music- it made for a very special experience indeed.

The road outside is still undergoing a fair bit of work. A bumpy ride is not unusual but I did feel really sorry for the tuk tuk drivers here. As a very minor point, it would have been good to get a cold drink and a seat on arrival (as we had had in most other places) rather than just checking in standing at reception but perhaps we just arrived at a bad moment. It is easy to get into the habit (and expectation) of being treated like royalty when in India!

Excellent hotel in the heart of Kochi, with very nice views to the city and harbor, excellent swimming pool locate in the rooftop. The hotel very nicely built, looking magnificent from the inside as much as all the rooms, with excellent amenities. I would have truly enjoyed spend more than one night. Good WiFi coverage and with a short ride of tuk tuk you can get anywhere in the city. The staff was kind and attentive, and they packed for us an early breakfast as we had to leave to early to airport.

Thee is not much to say, it’s truly great and it would have been a 10/10 if not for the fact that they massively over charged the massages and transportation. The massages were nice nothing extraordinary, but definitely not worth of that cost, likewise the transfer from and to airport.

It is very unique hotel with traditions and very good service. The rooms are large and well equipped. The bathroom is very nice and large. Food at the restaurant is great - many options both for local people and for foreigners. Services and hospitality is overwhelming. Spa is worth visiting. Swimming pool is very large and clean with great view for the port. The lobby and plants everywhere give unique view. Definitely visit there worth money.

For people drinking wines just information that everywhere is only small selection of wines and practically only from India. This hotel was not exception.

Beautiful, elegant hotel in an excellent location. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful, the food was delicious & the spa was very good.

One cannot hold the hotel to account for its neighbours. But it is surrounded by mosques. Whilst I wholeheartedly support everyone’s right to practice their religion, I do not understand why they amplify the call to prayer & indeed the whole service to high volume. I wonder if the hotel could negotiate a reduction in volume or a removal of the PA system? If not I’m afraid they need to invest in high quality double glazing as even earplugs don’t exclude the noise in their very lovely rooms.

From the moment we got our rooms, everything was just right. The stay was super comfortable, the food was great, and the staff were incredibly friendly. All the little touches and the awesome facilities made it an experience we won't forget. We visited Fragrant Nature to celebrate my parents’ 40th wedding anniversary — a last-minute booking that turned out to be one of the best decisions we made. I had asked the staff if they could arrange a cake for the occasion. Despite the monsoon weather preventing us from dining at their beautiful terrace restaurant, and my requests coming in at the last minute, the team went out of their way to make the experience truly special. From my 70+ year-old dad to my 1.5-year-old toddler, every member of the family was thoroughly impressed. It was actually my daughter’s first time tasting cake, and she absolutely loved it! The food was fantastic — the soups, the main course, and especially the desserts. Even during checkout, the restaurant staff brought a slice of that delicious cake just for her. Everyone we interacted with was warm, thoughtful, and incredibly accommodating. I’ve already told several of my friends about how wonderful the stay was. For something planned on such short notice, our time at Fragrant Nature far exceeded all expectations.

Absolutely nothing! Honestly, the only thing I regret is not being able to stay longer.

The roof top terrace is beautiful but the opening hours to have a drink or meal are limited and there are umbrellas to cover either We were there unintentionally during Ramadan and there is a mosque nearby to the hotel so we were woken up daily at 4.30 am which wasn’t ideal - but can’t fault the hotel for this. It’s an FYI

The staff was excellent. They were very friendly and help me with arranging tickets and excursions. They even spoke with the tuktuk driver to explain the destination. The rooms were nice and big. The shower was great. Checkin was very good early in the morning. The wall painting is very impressive. The location is good.

A small detail: we have had dinner 2 times, but the menu was a little bit limited. There are no vegetables on the menu, only salads. And Kerala has a lot of vegetables. I also missed the stuffed paratha and the malai chicken. Thanks to the staff we have got tadka daal, despite it was not on the menu. So a little bit more Indian dishes are welcome, because Kochi is the first entrance when you came from abroad.

The room was a really good size and very clean. There was a small mini bar and toiletries were provided along with filtered water and tea/coffee. The pool was clean and the roof top area was lit up really nicely in the evening. The evening food menu (roof top) was great and we really enjoyed eating our meals in the bar terrace, great atmosphere and brilliant service.

The pool area is a little on the small side, which was fine for us as it wasn't peak season but I can imagine it gets busy up there. The food (whilst tasty) was a little on the expensive side, a bit of a shock compared to eating in cafés and restaurants outside the hotel.

This is a beutifully designed heritage hotel with cute rooms and a tasteful lobby. The location is perfect for visiting the attractions in Fort Kochi and around Mattancherry palace. We visited during one of the hotter months and particularly enjoyed the rooftop pool with views over Fort Kochi and the neighbouring shipping harbour. The restaurant is excellent and offered us a complimentary cooking demonstration. We also enjoyed a traditional massage in the hotel's spa as this was available at a reduced rate during our stay.

On the day we were leaving, we had asked the hotel to arrange an airport transfer. This did not arrive until 20 mins after the agreed time, at which point we had already arranged an uber (which was also significantly cheaper). We were also woken up early each day by the call to prayer projected from nearby loudspeakers, although we appreciate this was not the responsibility of the hotel.

Brilliant property. Clean, bright and supremely comfortable. Warm and welcoming staff who’ll go well out of their way to make you comfortable. Aakash at the front office was most helpful and full of great suggestions for things to do in town! The breakfast spread is sumptuous and the chef extremely talented. The value for one’s money is also great! This was our second stay at Fragrant Nature Kochi and we’ll definitely be back!
