The rooms were pristine, spacious, and the beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed a restful two days in Kochi during our visit. We appreciated the AC and multiple fans to keep cool. Staff were helpful and able to provide some basic items when requested, such as a kettle. They also arranged a taxi for us for day excursions. The best feature was the excellent location, within walking distance to the major attractions in Fort Kochi.

We were disappointed that the kitchen was essentially non-functional. The fridge worked, but it would have been nice to also have access to a microwave, kettle, dishes, and cutlery. A kettle was kindly provided to us upon request. It would have also been more convenient if the hotel had a water refill station available to guests.

The great thing about Fort Abode is the pool on the roof. What a treat in the city when the temperature is really hot. The structure of the hotel is a bit odd. It's built more like a group of apartments where you rent a room and there is a sitting room and non-functioning kitchen as a communal space. There is a central atrium running through the building which gives a very airy feeling. The floors and stairs are all polished marble-like tiling and are kept spotlessly clean. The staff were friendly and looked after us very well.

It's a pity they don't do food especially as they have a fully equipped restaurant on the top floor. The airconditioner in our room was a bit noisy.

We stayed at a cozy hotel right in the heart of Fort Kochi, just a short walk from Santa Cruz Cathedral Basilica and other key attractions. The location was perfect, allowing us to explore the area easily on foot. The hotel itself was very charming, and the owner was incredibly kind and helpful. She even arranged transportation to our next destination and lent us a kettle so we could make tea. We had a truly enjoyable and comfortable stay. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Fort Kochi!

The only downside was that the hotel didn't have a restaurant, but there were several excellent dining options within walking distance.

Was last in Cochin in 1986. Fort Abode was a pleasant surprise. Located close to a good coffee shop, fish restaurant (Fusion Bay) and bar with Heineken (Frances). Large air conditioned room with a closet cabinet, desk and luggage table. The staff (especially Sam) were helpful arranging transportation and for an overnight houseboat ride starting and ending in Alleppey. We stayed at Fort Abode 6 nights at the start of our Kerala stay and one night at the end.

The swimming pool is only 4 feet deep. That did not stop me from using it! Better reclining sun bathing chairs are needed. The current ones are rock solid and do not adjust.

Good location. Nice pool. Helpful friendly staff. Secure and as secluded as can reasonablly be expected. It is definitely a short stay apartment style. Not a full service hotel. Lack of restaurant was a total non issue as there are endless eating options within 5 minutes walk. Local places of interest as again right on the doorstep.

A kettle and drink making facilities in the kitchen would have been nice.

We enjoyed the pool and hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Also, the location is great. Rooms are nice.

We had an initail problem with our booking which the manager resolved very quickly. You can tell a lot about an establsihment by their response when something goes wrong and these guys were amazing. We loved the location is was close to aa really great part of Fort Cochi with restaurants only a short walk away. The roof top pool was a blessing which the kids loved to escape the heat. There is a serenity in the hotel which contrasts lovely with the vibrancy of the town. We fully intend to return to Kerela in the future and will base ourselves here for some of that return visit - cannot wait for our next india adventure. Out first stay was initially difficult because our booking was mixed up due to a lack of clarity with booking.com. this was not the hotels fault but the hotel fixed the issue.

Swimming pool was clean and quiet. My 6 years old didn't touch the feet on the bottom that made her good swimming practice. The staff are very helpful. They booked the seats for Kathakali, Autorickshaw little tour in very good price and Taxi to airport. They don't have restaurant but the restaurant (veg) near by was very good and opens from 7.30 am.

I wanted to have a kettle for my sinus rinse as I prefer to use a bottle of water for it.

The room we had connected to seating area and another bedroom, we had the place to ourselves which was lovely. The pool was very nice. Bed very comfy. The room and bathroom was spotlessly clean. Front of house staff were very friendly and helpful.

As we are filter coffee drinkers, I had checked to see if there was a kettle in the room which there was not one. We take our own coffee pot. Which meant even for coffee you had to go out and there was nowhere close for filter coffee in the morning. We asked about a kettle ( as there was a full empty kitchen in the apartment) and they said they could provide a kettle which had we had known we could of brought our coffee pot Not a big issue but most Westerners do like a cup of tea or coffee for breakfast or before. I think they were renovating their restaurant so when completed that might be the solution.

The location was great, it was so nice to have a swimming pool, the room was clean. The cleaning staff and support staff were lovely.

The people in charge were not very friendly. The electricity in the room was spotty, it was very difficult to charge our phones and the air conditioning cut out in the middle of one night. The Wi-Fi was also not very good. The price was much too high for what we got.
