what can i say about the cleanliness here.. it was sparkling clean.. location is excellent.. many good restaurants/home kitchens/medical/grocery stores/tea stalls nearby within walking distance.. also the homestay has a fully equipped kitchen.. cook if you want to.. they have a terrace where a nice breeze blows all day.. owner Mr. Joseph is helpful and good to have a quick chat.. we loved Fort Kochi as a walking and shopping destination.. beautiful houses, chinese fishing nets and the lovely sunset :D if you need recommendations.. Crafters Exports spice shop was good, near the Jew town jetty.. cant miss it.. for restaurants we liked Spice Root, Anantha Bhavan and Canvas.. and dont even think of missing the Avacado milk shake at Rinoos cool bar - it was uhmayyyzing!!!!..

Joseph the host is so helpful if you need anything for onward travel or booking activities like Tours or Backwaters Boat trips etc. Homestay is clean and modern with a lovely sitting area where there is filtered water, kitchen area and a fridge. Wifi is good and there’s hot water for a shower - which doesn’t run out during the shower, amazing! Great location walking distance from the basilica and restaurants.

The beds are a little harder than I’d like to sleep, but that is the standard with Homestays in India from my experience. The fan in the room is quite loud but I preferred having it on anyway - so wasn’t much of an issue for me. I travelled with a backpack so the stairs to the room wasn’t a problem but for anyone with suitcases just be mindful that there are stairs.

Friendly homestay with great value for money. Our room was on the upper floor with large windows facing a garden. The bed was comfortable and the aircon worked well. Good bath and shower. We liked the spacious common areas with kitchen, fridge & kettle. There is also a rooftop where we did yoga on one of the mornings. The more touristy area of Fort Cochin with its many shops and restaurants is just a ten min walk away. We enjoyed having breakfast and dinner at “Chez Teapot” which has a great atmosphere and very friendly staff.

The rooftop and the common areas weren’t kept that clean.

- In a quiet location down a side street - SUPER clean wow 🤩 - loved the kitchen area with kettle fridge etc

- This is probably a personal taste, but you only get a sheet as a cover. Me i need a bit more weight on me. Luckily I had a large wooden shawl that I put over me . But I didn’t sleep that well - a mirror above the desk would be nice as there is 1 mirror on the wardrobe but no plugs by it for drying hair - it says there is hot water but k did not have any st all whilst I was there

extremely clean, amazing hosts, really friendly and helpful. Perfect location close to main part of fort kochi. Couldn’t recommend enough, amazing value for money. Hot water and good Wi-Fi. Also had some laundry done organised by the hosts with collection and drop of to home stay. We had a late flight and we’re able to leave our bags in the property after check out. Thank you so much, best stay we have had in India, felt like home!

Everything perfect

A great place at the centre of Fort Kochi. The host Mr. Joseph and his family were very kind and helpful. We stayed here for two nights and enjoyed our stay completely. The beds were spacious, a very family-friendly place, clean and spacious bathrooms, AC in good working condition, a kitchenette with all the facilities, and a nice balcony in the common room to read the books from the stack of books they had. If travelling with family or by yourself, highly recommend this place. Definitely would stay here again when I visit Kochi.

Joseph the host is incredibly helpful. He answered all my questions, gave me an the tips, always answered the phone when I needed something even after I checked out. It made my first couple days in India much easier. The room and facilities were perfect. Clean and comfortable.

- Joseph, the owner was very lovely and helpful. He helped us book in a very affordable backwaters day tour for rs.2000 per person that included a homecooked Kerala style lunch. He also assisted in getting the Kathakali dance tickets for rs.500 per person. - Location was perfect, central and great! Within 5-10 mins walking distance from many amazing food places. 1 min walk to a chai place. Must try Mary’s kitchen for home cooked food and Fusion Bay restaurant for seafood (fish mango curry) - Rooms were so clean and comfortable with shared spaces such as the kitchen and living area. The rooms are only accessible by stairs and rooms only payable by cash.

Not a big deal but I thought the blankets in the room could be slightly thicker

The place is extremely well located, 5 mins walking from fort Cochin and close to many great restaurants (like the Nepalese). The room was very comfortable, A/C and fan included. There is also a common room with a fridge and small kitchen. I think this is a plus! The terrace on the top allows to have a nice view and dry your clothes.

The hosts were very reserved, we would have liked some more inreractions to receive information on actovities to do in the city.

Has two floors with 3 rooms and a communal space on each - we were on floor with fully equipped kitchen and a small balcony which was great. Rooms were clean and had all the basics, shower lovely and hot. Didn’t see much of owners but they were there if you needed them. Just out of centre of town but walking distance to everything and was tucked off main road so little noise. Had a lovely 3 night stay there and very good value for money.
