Fabolous stay, great location for Fort Kochi. Lovely breakfast, very helpful staff, clean, idy and an oasis of calm to the outside. Very easy distance to everything Fort Kochi and also the water metro if you want to travel to the other parts of Kochi (R40 to the High Court Jetty on the metro or R6 on the local ferry). The Tuk-Tuk sightseeing is worth it and only R400 for 2 hours. Seafood at the Seagull was the best restaurant we tried while staying. We had a Superior Double up the spiral staircase and it was very nice and authentic. We’re in our 50’s and like to travel independently in less mainstream hotels. This fitted the bill perfectly; the pool is small but a very welcome dip to cool off from the very hot weather.

Nothing, really enjoyed our stay, they even took phone messages I had from a Kerala politician friend of mine and rang him back for me.

It’s a very nicely refurbished old Kochi home — lots of atmosphere, a historic feeling, attractive in the central courtyard and in the bedrooms. Two of our 3 rooms were quite large. Bathrooms were also large and worked well. It doesn’t have a high-end feeling, rather a pleasant simplicity.

It was impossible to communicate with the hotel. They indicated that they had a problem processing our payment, but never responded to many efforts on our part to communicate back to them with repeated emails and efforts to phone on the 2 phone numbers listed on booking.com and on their website. We therefore arrived very anxious that we were being scammed or had lost our booking as a result of non-payment. Also, they served a super simple breakfast at a fairly high price for what it was — so we had breakfast elsewhere.

A superb property located in the center of Fort Kochi Restoration was superbly done to keep the charm of this old building while adding modern conforts such as great mattresses, air conditioning,, modern showers and even a small pool Loved this oasis of freshness and would definitely come back again. Team was very welcoming to our toddler despite the property advertising clearly they prefer to avoid such young guests because the building is full of staircases!

Breakfast was not well handled - fruits precut despite our insistance on the opposite, very long service resulting in our hot beverages being served after the meal on most days This would be the key point to improve to make this a flawless hotel. Laundry service is expensive especially given bathrooms are not suited for any laundry

We stayed in the classic suite, which was a lovely large suite (room 1) with authentic Indian antique furniture and the best mosquito net for the four poster we have come across. Yes the room backed onto Princess Street, so some street noise, but not so bad to disturb our sleep. The bed was super comfortable and the room was kept really clean.

The air-conditioning was adequate but not great and the same could be said for the shower water temperature, which was temperamental. A pity as we would have given a 10 if these were good.

If you aim for a truly heritage location, than this is your place to be. Situated in an old portuguese-dutch(?) merchant house they attach importance of keeping the old style of the building with many original details alive (e.g. I loved the old wooden doors). Nice courtyard with well kept pool offering a good hide away from the bustling streets. Top location in the most atmospheric & beautiful street in downtown Fort. Very good, fresh made breakfast.

Room (esp. around the bed) could have been a bit cleaner (but nothing dramatical)

The hotel is charming and the staff and communications were efficient, the pool was a welcome refresh at the end of a hot day. The location on a lovely street is perfect for walking everywhere, shoppibg, cafes, restaurants, shore path etc.

The breakfast was nice but selection of options is small , there are plenty of alternatives nearby if required.

The beautiful architecture & antique furniture was just exquisite. We stayed in two rooms, 1 up, 1 down Both were lovely big rooms, very comfortable beds, nice bathrooms. Breakfast was wonderful as was the beautiful lady who served with a charming smile to start the day. All staff were exceptional Nhilima when we arrived, Benny overnight & anther gentleman. All friendly & helpful

This property is in a great location, right in the centre of Fort Kochi so it’s easy to walk around the area. The building is a lovely traditional style and the rooms are modern and clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We were only here for one night but it was a very good stay. Also the Indian breakfast outside in the courtyard was lovely.

The hotel was very accommodating of my requests. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast has a personal touch, but the options are rather limited. The location is great. Mosquito net and repellant are provided which is good, but there are mosquitoes (I guess it depends on the time of the year and not under the control of the management).

Situated in the heart of Fort Kochi, walking into the hotel is full of old world charm with modern amenities. I love the fact they have water refill stations on every floor. The small plunge pool was lovely to take a dip in after a walk around town. Close to lovely restaurants, cafes and stores, I look forward to coming back and staying here again!

The lighting in the room wasn't the most effective. Given the tall ceilings on the top floor, I think better lighting would benefit both visibility and ambience. Just 2 well placed floor lamps in the room could help drastically.
