Staff was very helpful and was waiting at the door for me, checked me in, took my luggage to upstairs at my room, sorted all my things to do, place of interest, transport, all by confirming with them via WhatsApp. Full personalised experience. My efficiency in this trip would be remembered thanks to so supportive team here. Incredibly pleasant, friendly and helpful.

We stayed at Hotel Arches, Fort Cochin in late March, 2025. Very nice staff and a great location for easy walking around the town. Room #202 was a pleasant, clean, large-enough room with a large bed, bedside tables and lights, 2 rattan chairs with a table, a wardrobe and hangers, a luggage shelf, a refrigerator, and a long dresser. Wet bathroom, but the shower curtain helped to keep most of the water away from the rest of the room. Nice toiletries. Daily cleaning if you want it. 2 bottles of water a day.

It was very pleasant to have breakfast on the rooftop however it'd be a good idea to change at least a few breakfast options every other day or so. And maybe offer pots of tea instead of small cups, and better bread.

Friendly staff Location Bed Rooftop breakfast Restaurant Noting other reviews- showers do run cold - but only initially, then after couple minutes really hot. No lift is no problem as 3rd floor is top floor Breakfast officially starts at 8, but can get in little earlier if necessary Our fridge was off - fitted new one that day Power goes off now & again but literally for a minute max If you need help - ask! Staff very responsive

Outside noise at night from kitchens each night, but not late

I was very pleased with my stay at this nice hotel. The hotel is well located in the central area of fort cochin ideally placed within walking distance of all the sights, ferry to ernakulum (approx 20mins walk) and restaurants and cafes but it is very quiet. It is nice inside with a heritage feel with wooden furniture and the reception staff were very helpful including booking me an airport transfer from the hotel early in the morning. The room was large and well appointed with kettle, tea and coffee and good sized shower. I stayed here three nights and always felt safe as a solo female traveller and would go back.

Nothing.

The property is well located and the rooms are well equipped. The attached restaurant is fabulous and serves scrumptious North Indian fare. The location is the real star here though - you’re literally a walk away from every possible destination and there’s great Uber connectivity in case you want to travel somewhere further away. This is, in our experience, probably the best experience you can have on a budget in the area.

The rooms were not properly cleaned when we’d checked in and the shower pressure was abysmal. The front desk while helpful was a bit lethargic and hands off - would have liked to see them be a bit more involved.

Nice location and rooms are good. A/C worked well and the staff were friendly. Cleanliness fine and it was good value.

As is often the case, the pictures you see on the listing are not quite the reality. Lower your expectations somewhat. The hotel feels a little more dated than is advertised, but is still charming.

We had a lovely 3 night stay here . Nice heritage style hotel. Big comfy beds. Nice and quiet at night. No noise from the street The staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing too much trouble. Location is great, so close to everything.

The only thing was that they were doing some maintenance work in the hotel so it was noisy during the day but I don’t know when that work will finish . We were out most of the days anyway , lots to see and do !

Cosy hotel in a great location. Comfortable bed and big bathroom. Friendly staff and excellent value for money.

AC was very noisy when the flaps were horizontal and blowing cold air straight onto the bed when the flaps were vertical, thus making sleeping a bit tricky, as the nights are very hot. The second night we only used the ceiling fan, to avoid the AC noise and the hot/cold fluctuations.

The location was perfect- right next to the Princess Street and very good Indian and western restaurants. There were plenty of transportation options nearby too. The staff were very helpful and when we had a problem with electricy in our room, we were immediately moved to a nearby room. Do check their restaurant on the ground floor. It is really really good!

A few problems with electricity in our room. The hotel is somewhat old so some of the furniture/equipment seems to be worn out. I would love to have more variety for breakfast, but overall the food that we got was good.
