We had an excellent stay at Killians. The staff was attentive and friendly. The location of the hotel is a stone's throw from the ferry port which is accessible by car ferry. Fort Kochi sightseeing is all accessible and there are plenty of tuk-tuks outside to visit Mantancherry. The hotel is nicely designed with the corridors facing into a courtyard with a pool for a cool dip. The rooms are large and clean with all the basic amenities. The hotel were lovely enough to organise us an Uber down south, a later check out for our honeymoon, and even fixed my shoe. An older building but with a lot of charm and a quiet, serene feeling off the main road hustle and bustle.

I would suggest asking for an omelette at breakfast, as the breakfast options after 9am are limited. Limited menu for dining at the restaurant, but plenty of options nearby. The facilities are a little older, but it gives a more rustic feeling for guests looking for simple, authentically colonial charm.

Beautiful property, the location and layout of the pool and communal space. The housekeeping was excellent.

We were a group of 3 couples. While we got a good room on the first go, the other two had to switch room once or twice due to issues with the hot water. WiFi was terrible so if you need to work while you are here forget about it or sort your own internet. The TV options were pretty outdated and with poor WiFi you can’t stream anything without interruption either. The front desk staff were on the ball with things, I have been following up on something for 3 days now and it’s not done.

Location was superb. Great access to local amenities, shopping and the harbour. Property well maintained and comfortable. Staff very keen to please, advise and make arrangements. The pool was great.

Had a few problems with the firmness of the bed - but that's more personal preference than a real issue as the bed was great size. Took a while to realise the boiler needed turning on for hot water!

Killian has been beautiful...stay has been comfortable...good spread of bf (european n local dish)..well cooked food..very satisfactory. pool though small was fine.. big comfortable rooms..all staff were really kind and generous. location is right near the fort kochi jetty and close to bus terminus.. basilica church, beach, chinese fishing net are all at walking distance...if you love walking (as we do)..all places could be explored and enjoy the local vibrance..or else take an Auto locally called tuk tuk to visit Matancherry (Dutch Palace) and Jewish Synagogue @Rs.100 which includes stoopver to an old spice market.. 4m Killian Ernakulam Jetty is just 5-7 min walk.sinceroad construction going on so it may take 10 min Matancherry Jetty is not in operation if you love momos/thupkas etc must visit the Tibetan Roof Top Res just close to bus stand you have pizza hut as well

Language at times has been a big barrier while conversing with locals

The Killian's Boutique Hotel was the perfect hotel for us. The location is perfect - very walkable to all the attractions in historic Kochi and the hotel is right by the Ferry Terminal. The restaurant at the hotel served delicious seafood at a reasonable price. The breakfast options were basic but sufficient for breakfast and delicious. We loved the fresh watermelon juice and strong coffee! The swimming pool was clean and a refreshing oasis after a day of sight seeing. Our room was big and the bed comfortable. The bathroom was also big.

It would be nice if there is a place at the pool to collect swimming towels and deposit it back after using.

Truly a gem of a place, at the perfect spot near the water on the northern fort Kochi area. I felt the hotel was really of a 4-star quality in terms of the large room size, cleanliness, staff, and the restaurants. Great ambience (one of the rarer cases where the pictures at this site is really representative of the place) - it really has a wonderful boutique feel inside with all the carefully maintained plants and flowers. The room with the floor tiles and the verandahs create the feel of a Spanish hacienda or something. This is a single review representing everything I heard from the 27 other guests I booked rooms for. I had booked the place based solely on booking.com info, and was apprehensive, but I am so glad I took a chance with Killians. The staff is very helpful. Owner, Mr. Joseph Killain and the manager, Mrs Grace Lily were great to tallk to. I live in the USA and had booked 14 rooms for 28 USA/Korea/Taiwan friends of mine who came for my son's wedding in India. We arrived late at 9:30 by bus, and they chcked us in within 10 minutes, took everybody's bags to the rooms, and had us start a dinner in 15 minutes in the beautiful outside area (the breakfast is inside in AC). The fish platter, porottas and everything was great and they did not rush us either, keeping the place open till 11:30. The beds, sheets. pillows, etc were all clean, and the stay was terrific. The breakfast was sumptuous with bread/toast/egg/sausage etc and also poor/dosa/idli... Frankly, I felt that the room rates were ridiculously low for the kind of 4-star treatment we got there.

The AC went off at night as some fuse tripped on one floor. That was an annoyance but it was fixed soon after I called the staff.

Loved the hotel, it has a vintage feel, the room size is exceptionally big. The furniture is beautiful, the whole hotel is extremely clean. The beds are large and comfortable, we had a lovely stay. It was close to all the places at Fort Kochi that we wanted to see. Also, the best part is I got to see a kathakali performance as it was right next to the art and culture center. the hotel also has a cute little swimming pool. over all a very relaxed ambience with an old world charm. I would highly recommend this if you want to stay at Fort Kochi.

We had our flight at 7pm as our earlier flight had been cancelled, we had asked to stay in the room till 3pm but they could only accommodate us till 1pm, some flexibility in check out time would help. Also there was no dental kit or body cream or body wash in the washroom. The food seemed a bit expensive. But these are just minor changes that they can make.

Location is perfect, walking distance to all the landmarks and touristic streets in fort Kochi. We did not try the breakfast, but we had some appetizers/beers at the restaurant and they were pretty good. Staff is fantastic and helpful, even allowed us to drop the bags for few hours before going to the airport.

Facilities are becoming a bit old but ok for 1 or 2 nights.

The food, the bed, the view, the central location, the decor, the hotel architecture, proximity to the ferry and water taxi, close to the famous Chinese fishing nets, friendly staff, they arranged a tour package from the hotel.

The switch from tap to shower was broken. The toilet seat was a bit small.

The masseurs was excellent. The female Receptionist was very efficient and spoke English. the bougainvillea in the entrance near the pool

The breakfast was rather bland with powdered coffee. Spoken English by the waiters was poor. The phone in the rooms didn't work, then then the TV didn't work but eventually was fixed .shower awful with no hot water
